Gaming / Re: Nintendo Releases New Wii U Details: PB is Pleased
« on: January 27, 2012, 07:30:42 PM »
IMO Club Nintendo only got better starting this year, with the free download tickets for eShop/WiiWare games. The only thing worth while back then were the posters and Hanafuda Cards (and I so do love them).

Anyway, I'm still keeping my expectations low for the Wii U. I can't deny that I like the heavier focus on connectivity, but I still need to see it in action.

Finished it. Good [parasitic bomb]. One of the best parody anime I've ever seen, in the Nasuverse no less.

I haven't played either V or VI. But I believe the general consensus is that VI is the better game?

Amazing. XD

And may I add a "[tornado fang]ing" to complete this statement? XD

But this seriously does look great. I'll have to try the demo later.

PSP is the first thing you think about? It's glaringly based off the iPhone design, with physical buttons.

Rockman Series / Re: How would a 3D Mega man work?

I consider CM to be the most visually pleasing MM game. Unfortunately, we haven't really seen a more graphically achieved game in the franchise. And I really, really love the design choice for X's armor. Ultimate armor was overkill, but I like the Gundam vibe.

You guys should totally watch his Red Tails movie. Wow, it's so good and entertaining. Like the best movie i've seen in years, it's like, yeah. It's so good, because i'm totally not lying. Lucas can make movies man, it's.... so cool.

In fact, Capcom already has their own God of War... it's Asura's Wrath.

Except their quality is nothing alike at all. AW has one of the worst combat mechanics I've played in any video game. God of War is far and above, superior in every way. Play the demo of AW, and you'll see how sloppy the combat is. The constant QTE sections are a little annoying, however I can't deny that it's satisfying.

Game controls from the God of Wars, I really like the straight forward free roaming play.  Also, the quick weapon switching, would work good with the Legends 3 arsenal.

The puzzle and enemy fights, I can see that same kind of thing, for any ruins and/or the moon.

But, most important, the graphics.  Primary reason why I want the G.O.W creators, to make the game.

I agree on the free roaming aspect, although I'd want L3 to be more environmentally interactive than GoW ever was (destructable buildings or objects) and scaling the walls like they've shown with the Prototype. Quick weapon switching is definitely a good idea, but the fighting in the Legends franchise should always stay ranged, not close combat (unless on occasion with Barrett's melee attacks).

Graphics are far from the "most important". Gameplay always comes first, control second, with graphics simply finishing up the presentation.

Yu Yu Hakusho Season 2 (Blu-ray)

Also, I received the 3-set 25th Anniversary Zelda posters. [tornado fang]-ON-A-STICK, these posters are AMAZING. The quality is stunning and the colors are rich. It's actually free since it's on Club Nintendo, but still, I might as well have payed money for this thing. I would have gladly. Whoever has a CN account here, snag this bad [chameleon sting]er. You won't regret it.

What I hated more about the night segments was not the werehog, but the battle music that CONSTANTLY interrupted the stage music. I HATE that battle theme. It's annoying. I dont want to keep hearing that every time I hit something, I want to keep hearing the stage music.

This.

To be honest though, I haven't even finished Unleashed (PS3) because of the Werehog stages. It's not because I couldn't beat them, but I just lost patience in the Chun-nan night stage. That and I wasn't having much fun aside from the Day stages. It was months ago, but I remember having a difficult time grabbing the ledges (if you don't grab it in time, you fall into the water and die). And even though I had the time to practice, I just didn't bother continuing the game. I might later, just for the sake of completing a game, but I never get the urge to pick up and play it.

I loved the Day stages, besides Holaska. Holy [parasitic bomb], I wanted to throw my controller against the wall.

There was supposed to be a gigantic Rockman DASH themed cake, but it was recalled at the last minute. Capcom said it had too much sugar.
