Hey guys. Just wanted to mention that I am indeed not dead, and I still love you guys, including Mirby, even though we had a big fight. Just a busy bee mostly. Working, schooling, and my car charger for my laptop keeps overheating. :(

Mirby left.

Fire Emblem GET! It's still out of stock in many stores and online retailers, so I feel especially proud on getting my hands on this.

I don't get it.

... seriously?

RIP = Rest in peace

Then he added "in peace" after that. Which makes it "rest in peace in peace"

I think I spoiled something about Fire Emblem for myself. I don't know how huge it is though, hopefully not the biggest spoiler.

Hmm, and I suppose I can use my ruler as a weapon too.

But seriously, I'm mainly concerned about the bus rides and how I'm going to handle it when it's crowded. I'm not used to carrying these huge things.

Okay.

You are seriously exaggerating, I barely even notice it myself.

It's very noticeable to me. Namely when you play a game using 3D polygons like SM64. I wouldn't say it becomes ugly, but the upscale makes the colors and pixels stretch out a lot. When playing it on the DS lite, everything is so much crisper and vibrant, as it is in its native resolution.

There is an option on the 3DS to downscale DS games to their native resolution (hold down the Start button when booting up a DS game), but it makes the screen extremely tiny to point where it's not worthwhile to play it.

edit: RMZX mentioned it already

Mine just get dumped on my doorstep.

That happens with me occasionally. Depends on who delivers the packages, I guess.

No worries everyone. I'm going to ship Quickie my old DS Phat.

I'm a hero!  8)

My DS Phat hinge is broken, now the screen wobbles whenever I use it.

Is your DS intact?

DS Phats are more durable though.

True. But after owning all three versions of the DS, I can say the Phat has the worst screen of the bunch. Especially when you're in a bright place, you can barely see anything on the screen. Both DS lite and DSi have a much brighter display.

I'm not sure if not signing for packages is allowed. Safety precautions and all that crap.

I need a DS and the actual game.  My saved game isn't on my computer!  But, I'm still loving the hell out of Phoenix Wright.

I suggest getting a DS lite. If you have any GBA games, you can play them on that as well. DSi is restricted to DS games, with no backwards compatibility.

Finally, Fire Emblem: Awakening arrived today by UPS at my doorstep... and no one was home to retrieve it. And I was at college the time of its arrival, so the UPS guy left a note saying he will try again on Monday. I could have had it today, in my hands, soaking in the beauty. [tornado fang] EVERYTHING.

No. In my honest opinion, the core gameplay was never good.
It's just that, it's even worse now. Because it was bad back then too, but right now it's as you said. It's own age age caught up with it, making it worse.

I had shitload of fun with various different versions of SA1 (SA1, DX, International). But SA2? IT'S HORRIBLE. EACH TIME.

I mean, it's just my opinion, so feel free to disagree, but...

The Tails and Eggman levels are no fun at all. The only kick I can get out of them, is when I play as Eggman, because it's Eggman.
Treasure hunting is boring and annoying. Which is strange, because I loved the SA1 treasure hunting.

Then there's the fact that Shadow is barely in the game, even though they advertise him as the next big thing.

In general, this game is a well made example of [tornado fang]ing up on the job, and poor planning too.

The only good thing about it, as stupid as it sounds, are the Sonic and Shadow levels. And even then there's not enough of them.

The only good thing I can say about it is this:
It's better than Shadow's game... which I outright despise.

The only thing I really disliked were the Tails and Eggman segments.

Otherwise, I liked all the other levels. I'll admit that I'm kind of a nostalgia fiend, so I'm a little biased. But I always loved running as Sonic or Shadow and jumping off a seemingly bottomless pit, only to land on a rail or platform. That took a lot of practice, and helped wonders with speed runs. If I recall correctly, Final Rush is the level that had those parts where you could fall far distances and land on a rail. The game never hinted or told you about these things, and It was awesome to fool around in those stages.

Treasure Hunting was fun. I didn't hate it, but I didn't love it either.

And as mentioned before, the Chao Garden. I spent SO MANY hours in that thing. Going from stage to stage finding animals to bring back to them. Overall, I personally think SA2 is a well crafted game.

As for Shadow the Hedgehog, yeah, I'm sure most agree almost any Sonic game is better than that piece of [parasitic bomb].

Because seriously, the core gameplay was good, but has not aged well.

With this powerful tech and Sony's greediness, I'm fully expecting AT LEAST $500. I mean, $400 for a system like this would seem like flushing money down the toilet. With games like
Deep Down
, the PS4 seems highly unlikely to be less than $500. Nintendo would probably go for $400, but not Sony.

We'll see.

Noooooooooope. No system showing. Also, no price announcement, which essentially GUARANTEES it's $500 or more.

I really hope the E3 announcement isn't FFXV or some iteration of XIV. Sqaure has been stalling with Versus XIII long enough, and I have a suspicion that it's been pushed to the PS4.

That racing game had really insane visuals. I usually don't care much for graphics, but damnnnn.

Its just been rising and I've had no problems since the sound came back.

I have to go pick up a pizza, anybody mind keeping the thread updated?

- Killzone: Shadow Fall
- Infamous: Second Son
- Drive Club
- The Witness (puzzle game)
- Quantic Dream's tech engine
- Deep Down (Capcom game, similar to Dragon's Dogma)
- Square Enix tech demo. It's actually an old trailer, you can find it on YouTube.
- Watch Dogs
- Diablo 3 (PS4/PS3)
- Destiny (Bungie game, PS4/PS3 simultaneous release)
