Watched The Hunger Games on Netflix. It was [parasitic bomb].
I could barely tell what was going on during the action scenes because the camera was shaking like crazy every [tornado fang]ing second; even in the very beginning where the protagonist is simply jogging through her village, the camera was going nuts.
Afterwards, they spent way to much time sitting around in The Hunger Games stadium or whatever the hell it was, when they should've started the game 30 minutes earlier.
The part where the game first began was awful: everyone was running towards the weapons/supplies and the killing scenes were just unbelievably bad. Most the killing was off screen for whatever reason.
Most of them didn't show any remorse or mercy. No hesitation. All of the contestants are children, and a group of them were [tornado fang]ing laughing while murdering the others. It made no sense.
Now for the positives:
- Jennifer Lawrence is a serious babe
- The acting was generally pretty good for the most part
- The soundtrack is... passable
... that's about it. No backstory on anyone, they don't let you feel or care about the character, "the future" looks like the [tornado fang]ing 80s with a vengeance and, well... I just don't give a [parasitic bomb] about the world they live in or their totalitarian system, because they don't give the viewer a reason to. Terrible movie direction right there.
