The Lion Turtles just gave the elements to the people, but they learned how to Bend from the dragons/sky bison/badger moles and so forth. Before Wan learned how use it, he would simply shoot it out. (No seriously, me and practically all the NYCC crowd squee'd when he was doing the Dragon Dance).

Ahhh, okay. That makes much more sense.

I always knew the badger moles helped Toph control her bending, but for some reason, I had it in my head that the dragons granted firebending.

Thanks for clearing that up.

Finally, a black girl that doesn't look totally out of place in anime-style.

Other than that

Why?

So many people are going crazy over this latest episode. Some went as far as to say it was one of the best episodes of the entire franchise.

I... don't really understand the hype. It was a great episode, sure, but something felt off to me.

Didn't Avatar Roku explain in the first series that the dragons were the ones who taught humans how to firebend? Yet, here is the lion-turtle, granting everyone with the power of fire. Might be a plot inconsistency. In this episode, the dragons simply seemed to influence Wan in using bending as an extension of his body, but the power itself doesn't come from them.

Other than that, it was certainly a fun watch. I'm hoping the real meat will come in the next episode.

The Judge glanced at Officer Jenny fumble out of her seat, shrugged it off and continued eating his sandwich.

"Maybe I'll get pastrami next time." He said to himself, with his mouth full.

(Okay, since most people seem to be outside of the courtroom, I edited my post, rather than re-announcing the recess period. Everyone has a 30-minute break. That should be a fair amount of time.)

Hmm, deciding which final opening I prefer.
FMA Opening 4
or
FMA:B Opening 5
.

Leaning towards Brotherhood's emotional opening, but FMA hits me right in the nostalgia.

Nostalgia is a [sonic slicer].

The Judge nodded, "Yes, I do believe a break is much needed."

He reached toward the spot he usually rested his gavel, but noticed it was on the floor.

"What in the..." He reached down to pick it up and banged it once.

"We will now have a 30 minute recess." He announced out loud.

"Of course, the court accepts this entry." The Judge stated.

He paused and signaled to the bailiff. "I think I have a turkey sandwich in that paper bag over there. Do you mind passing me it?" He pointed to the table next to the bailiff.

The bailiff scratched his head, "I don't think it's very professional to eat during a trial, your honor."

The Judge pouted, "Really? But I see a few people in the audience snacking. Snack time is precious time, Daniel." He addressed him by his first name.

"... Yes, your honor." The bailiff sighed and handed him the bag.

"Sometimes I wonder if I'm speaking to a grown man or my 8 year old brother..." The bailiff muttered under his breath.

Payne stared wide-eyed at Mewtwo. It was doing the same thing again, acting as his own defense attorney, and acting smart over it!

"Your Honour, if Mewtwo feels that it can act as its own defense, I suggest we kick Mr. Wright out of the courtroom!!"

"Erm, I don't think that will be necessary, Mr. Payne... nor would this be a proper trial, if that were to happen." The Judge stated.

"The defendant is allowed to assert their accusations, as long as it fits within the confines of this case."

(Whoops, wrote "witness" instead of "defendant".)

The Judge crossed his arms, "Hmm, while it's true that the memory wiping is unsettling to hear, it is one of his, erm, 'abilities', is it not? This 'Mewtwo' creature can't fight something that's apart or him. Why, one time I was making a PB&J sandwich and some jelly was about to slip off the table, when I caught it with my beard! Because it's apart of me, I couldn't help but use my beard ability!"

He paused for a bit and pondered if that story even remotely compared to memory wiping.
