I would need much, MUCH more than 2 paragraphs to explain those games. And even then, there would still be a lot of confusing plot points. It's a very complex series. Especially VLR, which raises the complexity by A LOT. Lots of sci-fi talk and the like.

No, it's my own spin on the Morphogenetic Field experiment.

Although, in the first game (999), it was explained that the initial Nonary Game was established in order to place everyone with access to the Morphogenetic Field in one area, and force them to solve puzzles in order to survive (the participants have explosive watches). So basically, the entire game is an experiment so the (people who created the Nonary Game) could gather the Morphogenetic "power" for themselves, by using the kidnapped children as lab rats.

VLR deals with something completely different, in that it's not an experiment, but rather a last-ditch plan to prevent the end of the world (by traveling through time, using said Morphogenetic ability). Much, much higher stakes.

I'm not going to do the lab rat thing for the WilyRP.

Akane continued scoping around the facility when she came across a paper with Phi's mugshot; only she looked much younger than her present age. Next to the mugshot was a typed statement, boasting a plethora of pen-markings, circling and crossing out specific words and sentences:


Subject 04, Phi, shows brainwave patterns we never dreamed was possible. It goes without saying that all who established this project should feel accomplished at the progress we've made. The sheer dynamic scope of the waves are so vast and intricate, that even the EEG could not calibrate the electrical activity and ionic pulsations, produced by her brain. The ionic discharge seems nearly impossible to record, and the electric potential, as well as the membrane proteins, needless to say, is difficult to isolate for recording at this point in the experiment.

However, The Nonary Project is just getting started. The insurmountable obstacles will be but a faint, unpleasant memory.

Subject 04 is still in REM sleep. Her procedural memory should, hopefully, cause a fluctuation that our customized EEG can pick up and record. The EEG will be worked on further, and then we will see how much information we can output.
