"Your identity is public?" Cardinal asked "Wow that's pretty rare, I mean I know a few people who kind of do but that's because they don't have a secret identity for one reason or another.  Of course that's still a minority though."

"Yeah, we're kinda like super hero celebrities. Especially me; I'm the face of the team. Sure, Reed is the one who really leads it, but my charm is what carries it!" A stupid cheesy grin stretched across Arche's face.

(The difference between this Arche and Wily RP Arche is ridiculous! XD)

Phi glanced at the van and then looked at Asch, "Perhaps it would be best if you rest inside the van. It's not the most comfortable place, but it's the next best thing right now," she suggested.

Arche nodded, "Yeah, at least for a short while."

(You know, I didn't plan on it, but many of the interactions between Arche and Phi are as if they're both wounded animals that are "licking each others wounds", so to speak. I initially just planned for them to develop a simple sibling dynamic, with some playful banter, but I never anticipated their painful pasts being the foundation from which they help each other.)

Arche took notice that Asch was constantly hunched over and catching his breath, "Hey, are you okay?"

"Oh, you heard all of that?" He scratched his head, slightly embarrassed, "Yeah, I guess you could say that. I mean, swords vary between weight and durability. Even for me, it takes time to fully master specific blades, especially if I want to pull off a certain technique," He rambled on for a bit.

"But essentially, yeah, I have enough skill and experience to work efficiently with any blade I choose."

"No, please, Arche, don't be modest," Phi chimed in sarcastically.

New glasses.  I think mayyyyyyybe I should have gotten the anti-reflective stuff on the lenses.

I never could tell the difference when wearing glasses with and without anti-reflective lenses.

Phi witnessed the huge explosion from Omega Joe's demise, and opened the van door.

"Nnghh... still not fully healed," She groaned out as she tightly gripped her shoulder, "Not that I expected it to be in such a short time, but should it really be hurting this much?" She said to herself as she walked towards Arche.

Arche saw her at the corner of his eye and turned around, "See... told you I'd be careful..." He said in a pant, exhausted from using all those techniques.

"Heh, I should have known better," She said sarcastically. Phi glanced down at the floor, holding her crossbow lazily to the side of her thigh.

"What's wrong?" He asked.

Phi stared at him briefly before answering, "Nothing... it's stupid, really..." She bit her lip and sheepishly crossed her arms.

"Hey, you don't get to hide your problems away from me. Not after I exposed my guilty pleasure to you," He laughed wearily, of course, referencing when he told Phi about his urge to kill. Perhaps making light of his condition was the best way to go about it, rather than letting it consume him.

She sighed, "It's just that... I was of absolutely no use to this team. Funny enough, I didn't even want to fight initially, however, after seeing everyone out there putting their lives on the line... I felt... selfish."

Arche shook his head, "What are you talking about? You helped us fight off the mettaurs and t-"

"And those Saber-wielding robots? That's what you were going to say, right?" She interrupted him, "And look what good that did me. I couldn't destroy one single [tornado fang]ing Saber robot, or whatever the hell they're called. The mets were small fries. Clearly, I'm no use in a real battle..."

Arche folded his arms and then slowly looked at the sky; it was gray, as if there was rain only moments before. He took his attention back to Phi, and walked up to her, handing her one of his katanas.

Phi stared at his sword for a brief moment before hesitantly taking it from his grip, "Why are you handing me this?"

He pointed to the blade, "Do you know how I ended up using these? This was a pair of wooden nunchucks, at first. Then it became a bow, then afterwards, throwing knives. Ever since I could remember, I always wanted to become a formidable fighter. I went through countless weapons, never finding the "right" fit; never feeling like I was at my full potential."

He placed his hand on his sword, "Then I came across two identical swords. Back then, I thought they were the most beautiful things in the world," He lightly chuckled, "Looking back now, they were a pile of crap. But it was a gateway for me to perfect my craft. I started low, and ended high; finding what I was truly adept at. Unfortunately, that led me to some... darker times... but, that's a different matter entirely."

"So, you're saying my crossbow is only the beginning. The beginning to a greater path..." She stated as she compared her crossbow to Arche's katana, holding both weapons to the sky.

He nodded, "Yes, this is only the beginning."

"... Then I'll just take your "greater path" with me and be done with it," She said as she pretended to steal his sword.

"Ah, ah, I don't think so," He laughed as he took back his blade from her. He stopped for a moment, not remembering the last time he has genuinely laughed. After everything that's happened to him, he's convinced himself that any happiness would be forever lost to him.

Phi smiled, "... thanks for the advice... and stuff," She said under her breath, given she wasn't used to thanking people, much less connecting with them after Luna's passing.

"Hm? What was that? I couldn't hear you," He gestured his hand behind his ear, as if he was listening closely.

"Oh shut up," She lightly pushed him back.

"I probably remember what happened because I'm thick-headed, or so I've been told," Arche quipped.

"But seriously, I can certainly relate to the sibling dynamic you two have. Not everyone has the privilege to have someone so close to them. You should cherish that.

My sister, Sue, was all that I had. That is, until I met Reed and Ben. Hell, we've been stuck together for so long, we're like a family..." He paused for a moment, then vigorously shook his head.

"Ugh, I can't believe all that sappiness came out of my mouth!" Arche scrunched up his face.

"Anyway," He continued, "I suppose I can't really blame her for setting up her frying pan death trap everywhere. While I can't relate on the paranoia aspect, because, you know, my perfect face is right out in the open, I do understand what exposing your secret identity can do to the people closest to you. It's a risk, for sure."

"Ah you're the guy who actually tried to enter my boss' room without knocking." Cardinal chuckled a bit "Head still throbbing?"

"Oh... She told you about that?" Arche chuckled nervously, "nah, my head isn't throbbing anymore. Though I swear I can still feel the frying pan pressed against my head."

Arche cleared his throat, "So, how is it like working with someone like her? She definitely seems... direct," He said as he rubbed his forehead a bit.

I'm gonna edit Wily's RP post, so Arche can get a good hit in. No worries though, Mirby will still deliver the final blow.

If you have any objections, doc, you can just edit it out.

(Well, that's terrific. Arche didn't have his turn yet.)

Edit: (As I stated in the thinking thread, I edited your post, doc. Of course, since it's your post, you're free to remove any of what I edited in there, if you wish.)

"Cardinal." Cardinal said as he put his hand out "Bat-Sakura's apprentice or partner or whatever you want to call me.  We just don't like to use the word sidekick."

"Tell me about it," Arche sighed, "One of my teammates, Ben, sometimes calls me the 'team sidekick' to annoy me."

He shook Cardinal's hand, "My name is Arche Storm."

"I think I may have heard of you guys once or twice." Cardinal shrugged "There's just some many heroes out there that me and my boss have a hard time keeping up with them to be honest, that and I'm like 4 years old.  I think our information broker might have more information on you guys."

"Yeah, I can understand that. Heh, I hope that information broker of yours has a list of all my arrests! I've put away hundreds of criminals over the years... with the help from my team," He mumbled the last part under his breath.

Arche scratched his head and chuckled, "Sorry, I was rambling on, and I just realized I don't even know your name..."

"Some kind of call from some kind of team you're part of?" Cardinal asked nonchalantly as he was sitting on the couch as well watching television.

Arche nodded, "Yep, that was my sister. We're part of a team called the Fantastic 4. Honestly, I'm a little surprised you haven't heard of us."

(It was "Fantastic Phi" initially, but I'll just keep it as Fantastic 4.)

Not too long after Arche made it back to the Dragon Ship, his Fantastic Communication Watch started to ring:

(click to show/hide)

He pressed a button on the front, causing a small hologram to pop up.

"Arche? Can you hear me?" A young blonde woman spoke.

Arche plopped down on the nearest couch, "Oh, hey, sis! Long time no see."

His sister, Sue, breathed a sigh of relief, "Thank goodness, I was worried that we wouldn't be able to reach you. We're in a building that seems to be interfering with our signal, though now it seems to have cleared up. So, are you still in that "huge ass ship" or whatever it was you called it?"

Arche chuckled, "Haha, I just got back, actually. It's been a really crazy day. Not outer space, alien army type-of-crazy, but still pretty nuts. Anyway, aren't I too old to be checked up on by my sister?"

"I think I know my little brother well enough. You're not exactly immune from getting yourself into trouble," she teased.

Arche rolled his eyes, "And you should know I can handle whatever comes my way, sis."

Soon after, a rough-sounding voice was heard in the background, "Hey, Sue, is that the little brat you're talkin' to?"

"Who else?" Sue sighed.

Arche spoke louder into his Fantastic Watch, "Heeeeey, Ben! I knew I recognized that walking boulder on the screen!" He quipped.

Ben cracked his knuckles, "This "boulder" has a nice, painful fist sandwich waitin' for ya when you get back!"

"Wouldn't miss it for the world," Arche responded sarcastically.

"Ugh, Arche, can you please knock it off?" Sue sighed, "Anyway, we're getting closer to Doctor Octavius' hideout. Reed will fill you in on the technical details, if he needs you for anything," She said with a whisper, as the group were slowly arriving to where Doc Ock was hiding out.

Arche leaned his head back and sighed, "Oh boy, more of Reed's riveting techno-babble..."

"Hey, I married the guy. If anyone has a right to complain about hearing science speeches 24/7, it would be me," She laughed, "Anyway, our time for chatting is over. We're getting closer."

He smiled, "Alright, sis. Give the doc a nice big punch for me!"

Sue smiled and nodded, the hologram image soon fizzing out.

Just witnessed a fiery car crash. Well, I didn't actually see it happen, but I heard the crash right outside my house.

I went outside and the entire front of the car was smashed in; debris strewn about everywhere, and in a matter of minutes, most of the car was devoured in flames.

Thankfully, they were able to get the woman out of the car before it caught fire. This is, what, the 20th crash that's happened by my house? Jesus.

I almost forgot that I had Ace Attorney Investigations inside my DS lite, so I was playing that for most of the day. I am now on episode 3.

After I finish the game, I'll go back to Ace Attorney 5.

Also, just to clear the air, I do get the need to discuss Pokemon. I really do.

Sure, I may not be a huge fan, but I do have Pokemon X, and I can see why people love the series. But, for me, as well as some other people, seeing it constantly can get a little grating. Again, I don't really care anymore, however, I will impart the suggestion to keep most of it in the Pokemon thread.

I love Breaking Bad, for example, but I've only mentioned it here like 10-15 times during the entire duration of this thread. The reason being because I know not everyone is familiar with it, and they would get annoyed very quickly if I brought it up constantly.

By using the Pokemon thread, you can filter the people who are actually passionate about the series, from those who are simply "bystanders" looking at the discussion and not understanding what's going on.
