"What you just did, clapping your hands, that was your choice… in this timeline. By choosing to clap, you instantaneously created a parallel timeline from this one, where you chose to stomp your feet, and another where you shouted something. Hell, perhaps you just created one where you did nothing at all," Phi pointed out, "Do you see how fragile and bendable the laws of time are? By choosing an action, various different actions happen at the same time in parallel worlds, and events branch out from there, creating infinite possibilities; an endless spectrum of events and variables that make up who we are and, effectively, shape the future of the world."

Arche was speechless. How in the world did Phi know all of this? Did someone tell her this? Was it that Akane person she was talking about earlier?

"So, that's what you meant by alternate worlds being born from the smallest decisions we make…" Arche stated.

She nodded.

"Out of morbid curiosity would you know what would happen if you introduced a Point C?" Fugo asked against his better judgement.

"Well, there are countless, infinite points, if that's what you mean," Phi stated, "I'd go insane if I tried to go to even a quarter of those timelines. There are trillions and trillions of alternate worlds out there, each born from the smallest decisions we make…"

Phi fiddled with her pendant, "Now, if by Point C you mean during my trip to Point B, no, I don't think that's possible. I mean, I haven't tried it, but jumping from point to point without first going to my origin timeline (in this case, Point A) would be extremely risky. If I did so, I would be leaving myself in a comatose state in multiple timelines (recall the first explanation)."

She stretched her arms a bit, "In a nutshell, if I were to go to multiple points, B, C, D, E, whatever, I would always have to make my trip back to A first; only then can I choose to traverse to whatever timeline period I please."

Phi suddenly got an idea and pointed to Asch, "Asch, was it? Clap your hands, stomp your feet or shout something out loud. Choose one of these and do it."

(Further explanation: We're in Point A and travel to Point B. In order to go to Point C, we have to go BACK to Point A in order to get back in our own body, THEN we can go to Point C, restarting the cycle of switching.)

At the reactor room of the underground factory, Dr. Wily II stood as he admired the Omni-Gem. The artifact was gleaming in rainbow colours, clearly displaying its elemental powers.

DWII - Such a magnificent artifact...

Dr. Wily II hesitated, as he slowly raised his right hand, almost wanting to touch the Omni-Gem. However, being in RPM has taught him to never touch anything that's alien. Digging into his labcoat pocket, he pulled out a piece of metal that has not been used in a while. Smirking, he held up the piece of metal, and placed it onto the Omni-Gem.

DWII - ... Rock... ON!

The piece of metal glowed as it was imbued with the energy from the Omni-Gem, and soon, it was as if the metal was brand new.

DWII - ... And with that... Model W(ilyIIMan) is revived!! MWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!

(... So yea, I decided to bring it back again. :P)

(Yeeeah, I have no idea what happened. Was the Model W plot something near the beginning of this RP?)

Currently playing The Last of Us. Gorgeous as [tornado fang].

On the portable side, I'm also playing Ace Attorney Investigations, Etrian Odyssey IV, Crimson Shroud, FE Awakening, basically, too many damn games.

I really need to complete one already. Hopefully during the break when I don't have schoolwork in the way.

You know, I get if somebody thinks something is funny. But there's no need to post it three times.

I'm not even really sure how that video is "Trolling" capcom.

It's parodying this:

Arche glanced at Phi sideways, a bit freaked out by this. He was told of the ability to traverse realities, but not in this level of detail. To think that he had the capability to do this his entire life, but never knew until only recently, was not particularly comforting.

"When I found out about this ability, needless to say, I was speechless. I actually didn't believe it at first, until I was actually using it, firsthand," Phi stated.

Phi twirled her hair, "Well, in this case, we can't actually send our bodies to alternate realities, else it would cause a paradox. Rather, we send our consciousness (mind) to our alternate selves. We refer to this ability as jumping"

She cleared her throat.

"Oh boy, now you got her started…" Arche muttered.

Phi shot a glare at him and continued, "For coherency's sake, let's say the timeline we're in right now is Point A (starting point) and the timeline we want to travel to is Point B (destination)," she made gestures with her hands, showing the parallels, "The Point A version of myself will send my consciousness to the Point B version of myself. By doing this, we will switch minds; my Point A consciousness is now in the destination point, and Point B goes to the starting point."

Arche interjected, "Alright, so if I understand this right, "Point B" in this case is the destination timeline. And once your consciousness in THIS timeline, Point A, travels to the destination, Point B switches over here?" He scratched his head, desperately trying to follow her explanation.

Phi nodded, "Exactly. Though once I make the switch, my body in THIS timeline will go into a comatose state, as my Point B consciousness would now be inheriting my body, dormant. Until I return back to my respective timeline, my body here will be useless; an empty vessel, essentially."

(Okay, be completely honest, was that difficult to understand? I tried to make it as clear as possible, which isn't easy to do.)

"What...are you guys talking about?" Asch asked with a raised eyebrow.

"It almost sounds like she can read minds." Fugo stated.

"In layman's terms, yeah," Phi responded, "I can't 'read' anyone I want, though; only certain people. It's gonna take too long to explain, but the short version is, Arche and I can communicate with each other through our minds; you can say we're linked, in a sense. We're one of the very few people who can access something called the 'Morphogenetic Field'; that field gives us the ability to communicate 'telepathically' with others like ourselves, as well as… traveling to alternate realities."

Phi crossed her legs, waiting for the inevitable confused looks to come across their faces.

Arche meekly raised his hand, "Yeah, Arche here, I don't really get too much of it myself," He chuckled nervously.

WHY

Roleplay / Re: Wilypocalypse NOW
« on: April 01, 2014, 05:20:36 AM »
"Honestly in my honest opinion...that's not something a hero would do...that's just giving up when the going gets tough.  Sacrificing yourself...instead of trying to fix things...is not the answer...especially when the people that care about him were willing to do anything to save him....I don't like how he was actually willing to abandon them without a second thought.  I understand that...this is hard for anyone to go through, believe me I do....but that was just selfish to me...he only thought about himself and his pain....and I think the person who has to pick up his slack....may have thought the same way...." Asch explained in a serious manner.

That weight; a hero's burden… I may have to carry that on my shoulders one day. I wonder if I'll ever grow to comprehend that feeling; If this torn, damaged soul of mine can even bear to heal in the light of heroism... He thought to himself.

Phi flicked the side of Arche's head.

"H-hey, why'd you do that for?" He rubbed his temple.

"This isn't [tornado fang]ing Shakespeare, for crying out loud. Jesus, is that what usually goes on in that head of yours?" She teased.

"Wha- You were reading my mind?!" Arche snapped.

"Not reading, more like skimming. Your thoughts just happened to be in the neighborhood and I decided to stop on by," She nonchalantly picked at her fingernails.

"W-well could you cut that out? It's unsettling!" Arche sternly stated.

(Because he's needs a nap but he's not going to get one until he knows Borock-bot and Zeta are safe.  He's just tired.)

"Oh [tornado fang]ing hell no, did you not listen to our conversation of Wily brainwashing him and basically destroying this city?" Fugo asked with a raised eyebrow "Or the fact that everyone kind of hates the Resistance at the moment because they think PB himself caused this mess of his free will?  The only reason we're going right now is that you guys are new so they might not think you're Resistance members right away."

"Not to mention....he wanted to commit suicide...so the crowd can have their vengeance...for killing their loved ones and stuff....and no one wants that....so he's being confined in the Sex Station and his rank has been temporarily stripped so he can't leave." Asch continued.

Arche nodded, "Indeed, I did hear all of that. Still, I was curious if he was hiding out there or, I dunno, doing something over there, despite how they feel about him."

He crossed his arms, "He wanted to sacrifice himself to give them their vengeance, huh? Is that something a hero would do? Making the ultimate sacrifice for something you care about…" He wondered aloud.

"Is it though?" Phi chimed in, "Or is it just foolish? If a supposed "hero" dies, that's one less person to keep the world safe… if you believe in that heroism nonsense, anyway," She threw up her hands nonchalantly.

"I suppose. Though I'm not too sure if sacrifice has a definite right or wrong answer. Either way, that can't be an easy choice…" He sighed.

(Wait, haha, why is Asch still out of breath after all this time?)

"Huh, well, there's certainly a possibility that I have heard of him at some point. I suppose his name kinda rings a bell, although, particularly back then, I had a habit of ignoring people that didn't interest me. I primarily steeled myself toward those whom I wanted to challenge or if they had something in their possession that I wanted," Arche scratched his head and lightly chuckled, "Basically, I was a major [dark hold]."

"Anyway," He continued, "Is he going to be there when we arrive?"

Arche sat there, curious to the people that Asch and Fugo were referring to, "If you don't mind me asking, who is this "PB" dude? Is he also part of the Resistance?" He asked while rubbing his chin. After all, Arche was still very new to this team, and oblivious to a lot of this information.

Phi simply sat back with her legs crossed; a peculiar expression on her face.

Six portable classics are about to hit the North American Virtual Console on Nintendo 3DS! The four remaining Game Boy Mega Man titles AND Mega Man Xtreme 1~2 (of Game Boy Color fame) are nearly ready for their eShop debut, and both Capcom Unity and Nintendo want YOU to decide which one launches first!

Vote in the above poll by 10am PT April 14 to make your choice known. Which of these classics will take the top spot? Mega Man V, with its unique Mega Arm and Stardroids (no Wily!)? Or perhaps you'd prefer Xtreme 2, with playable Zero and DNA Soul System?

Either way, the winning title will release on May 1, 2014. After that, it's "Mega May" as the remaining titles release each Thursday. Pick your favorite, but should your choice not release first, it'll still be out mere weeks later :)

While I will keep my vote secret for now (can't sway the vote!), please share your choices and rally others to get your favorite out on May 1!

"Nnngh!" Phi groaned out, gripping her shoulder, "Why the hell is this wound still hurting so damn much?"

Arche lifted up the torn piece of clothing that was wrapped around her shoulder and examined her wound, "It looks infected. We need to get the proper medical equipment, as soon as possible. Hopefully, the Fxenodrome has some in supply."

"I'd imagine you have your fair share of battle scars to know about this stuff, huh?" Phi leaned back against the seat.

He nodded, "That I do."

Arche signaled to Fugo, "Hey, does this Fxenodrome place have a treatment center?"
