I'm watching Lost in Translation on Netflix. I heard a lot of good things about it.

It also has one of the very few instances where it's about a man and woman meeting, and they form a strong bond of friendship, rather than cliche romance.

Lost In Translation - Lip My Stockings (Full)

Also, it has this. XD

(Don't worry, it's not naughty as the thumbnail suggests.)

Here's something to wrap your brain around.

Measurements are not exact.  They are only exact when they are measured, as they are being observed and thus they react.  Otherwise, a measurement is arbitrary.

Thus, you are not the height you think you are.  You are only that height when you are measured.

Quantum physics! 8D

That's some trippy stuff there...

Don't forget the radioactive isotopes! :P

Oh, I definitely won't forget that! :P

Ah, you meant for class. Actually yeah, bringing in a stuffed animal in a box and explaining the theory would be pretty cool. :P

Thanks for the suggestion. :P

Just make sure to bring a cat in a box, and show that the cat can be alive and dead at the same time.

Ah yes, the Schrodinger's Cat experiment. If something calls for that, I'll definitely have Phi bring that up.

Never understood the whole cat in the box thing.

The gist of it is that the cat is in a state between life and death when the box is closed. And the cat's fate only comes to fruition when you open the box and look inside; in other words, when the person opens the box, the cat will be either alive or dead.

It's kinda hard to explain. I'd have to go into an entire lecture.

Not exactly familiar with the subject of psuedo science, can you give me an example of it?

Quote
Pseudoscience is any belief system or methodology which tries to gain legitimacy by wearing the trappings of science, but fails to abide by the rigorous methodology and standards of evidence that demarcate true science. Although pseudoscience is designed to have the appearance of being scientific, it lacks any of the substance of science.

Promoters of pseudoscience often adopt the vocabulary of science, describing conjectures as theories or laws, often providing supposed evidence from observation, expert testimonials, or even developing what appear to be mathematical models of their ideas. However, in pseudoscience there is no real honest attempt to follow the scientific method, provide falsifiable predictions, or develop double blind experiments. Pseudoscientists often use the tactic of cheating the scientific method.

An example would more or less be what I posted in the WilyRP:

Phi suddenly had an idea and pointed to Asch, "Clap your hands, stomp your feet or shout something out loud. Choose one of these and do it."

"Okay..." Asch clapped his hands.

"What you just did, clapping your hands, that was your choice… in this timeline. By choosing to clap, you instantaneously created a parallel timeline from this one, where you chose to stomp your feet, and another where you shouted something. Hell, perhaps you just created one where you did nothing at all," Phi pointed out, "Do you see how fragile and bendable the laws of time are? By choosing an action, various different actions happen at the same time in parallel worlds, and events branch out from there, creating infinite possibilities; an endless spectrum of events and variables that make up who we are and, effectively, shape the future of the world."

Arche was speechless. How in the world did Phi know all of this? Did someone tell her this? Was it that Akane person she was talking about earlier?

"So, that's what you meant by alternate worlds being born from the smallest decisions we make…" Arche stated.

She nodded.

Yeah, Habenero Slim Jims are pretty damn hot. If it was less hot, I'd probably actually enjoy it. I just stick with the regular Slim Jims.

But more often than not, Jack Links is the way to go, in terms of jerky. Good stuff.

BAZOOPLES

BBT is one of the worst shows to ever exist. I haven't even watched it, but my mother sometimes has it on and I'm forced to hear terrible unfunny jokes with laugh tracks EVERY [tornado fang]ing SECOND.

Tidus' laugh makes it a bit more tolerable, I suppose.

Woah, Devil Survivor Overclocked's opening looks absolutely fantastic with the 3D on. Actually, it's probably one of the best showcases of the 3D effect I've seen thus far.

Not many games impress me in that department.

Is it bad that I was more entranced by the music, rather than the gameplay? Not to say I thought the gameplay was bad, but HOLY [parasitic bomb] the music. <3

Never was interested in seeing HIMYM.

Then again, after Arrested Development, I haven't watched many other comedies. Though I will say It's Always Sunny is really funny.

I wonder if the Great Sacred Treasure Mech will prove too overpowered for the WilyRP...

And I have awesome strict, hard eccentric and/or crazy teachers this quarter.

Believe it or not I really do like those types of teacher better since I actually learn something.

Yeah, I like eccentric teachers. They actually make me want to learn something, as opposed to teachers who just talk and don't seem like they're into the subject. If they're bored, chances are, they'll make me bored of it, too.

Phi tapped on her forearm impatiently, a bit perturbed that Ephy ended the argument, but she respected her decision, "I concur. Best not to continue."

Arche sighed with relief, glad that he wouldn't have to potentially pull Phi away from a fight. However, from what he remembers about her, as well as his time spent with her right now, she probably wouldn't let it get too far. She's one of the more calm people he's met, although he did see a bit of bloodlust within her when she was arguing. Perhaps she's just good at hiding it.

He reached into the compartment and took out the first-aid kit. He removed the torn cloth from Phi's shoulder and opened the kit.

"What are you doing?" Phi asked.

"Well, what do you think? I'm gonna take care of that shoulder of yours," He responded.

"Thank you, but I can take care of myself," She insisted.

"I'm sure you can, but with the angle of the wound, it's gonna be difficult to patch up by yourself," He said as he took some peroxide and other disinfecting medicine, pouring some of it onto a fairly large patch of absorbent cotton.

Arche edged the cotton towards her wound, "Okay, this is gonna hurt a lot. If the pain gets to be too much, tell me to stop," he warned.

Phi tsk'd, "I'm not a child. I'll live."

"Don't say I didn't warn you..." He pressed the soaked cotton patch on her shoulder.

"Nnngnghh...ughn..fffffff....aeghhhrhgghh... Eeeeeep!" Phi made a sudden high-pitched "squeak" sound.

Arche simply stared at her, "Did... Did you just squeak?" He looked as if he was about to laugh.

"Yeah, I think she squeaked," Asch nodded.

"Definitely a squeak," Fugo added.

"I-I did no such thing! Y-you must have heard s-s-something else!!" Phi blurted out, turning red.

"Sure thing..." Arche continued to rub the cotton patch on her shoulder with a small grin on his face.

"I see you smiling!" Her face still red.

After, he placed a clean piece of cotton on her wound and wrapped adhesive gauze around her shoulder.

(To be fair, Phi's shoulder still has a huge gash and it may be infected. However, she isn't the type of person to let a comment like that go. She's tough as nails, and somewhat tomboyish. Either way, it really depends on Tron since he came out of nowhere.)

"Primitive you say? Hardly. Have I experienced interdimensional travel on much lower scale than you? Sure. Is my mode of transportation less stable than yours? Of course. However, a reality is just that; a reality. The laws of time doesn't change, it only expands; branching out into the infinite. The amount of worlds you've traversed hardly matters to me,"

She crossed her legs, "Akane and I have observed many realities, much like yourself, although not nearly as many. The Morphogenetic Field doesn't allow us the quickest form of transportation, but it's certainly a powerful force in its own regard. That field is all around us, and we can't even see it. I'm surprised your almighty Observer never told you about it," Phi sneered.

(Good idea.)

Kharaxel and Ephy, who until now, merely did things quietly and in the background suddenly came into a small part of the spotlight.
During this enire conversation of multiple worlds, she listened with interest. Kharaxel couldn't help but notice, that it was as if she waited for something.

He was right.

"You speak of parallel worlds, hmm, miss Phi?" Spoke Ephy, abusing a moment of silence "Interdimensional travel used to be an easy feat for me, when I was still part of The Trinity. Yes. Yes. I remember well, when thanks to The Observer's power we could visit hundreds upon thousands of worlds in a single instant, in a single moment and Observe all of their possibilities. Of course, it was all truly thanks to The Reality Subjugation System, which gave Observer his power."

"... Where the hell did you come from?" Phi said flatly.

"Now imagine she said that in a nice way..." Arche chimed in.

(Yeah, my phone can't handle the grooviness either. Ah well, it was fun while it lasted.)

"Absolutely," Arche agreed with Asch, "What really matters are the choices we make here, in the present. We learn from our past mistakes and move on to making better desicions. That's just how it is."

Phi, being a laid back person, simply crossed her arms and smiled, "And what ever happens next in this [tornado fang]'d up war, just know that you're making your best judgment call. Your decisions are absolute and no one can change that."

Phi nodded, "Yeah, it's not an easy thing to think about. It makes you wonder where you really stand; every decision matters."

Arche, like Asch, was also thinking about his decisions. His life as a ruthless bandit, and losing Luna. Could he have really saved her? What if he did, but lost Phi instead? Did the darkness inside of him spawn from a series of decisions he made, or was that just his nature? These were questions he could never dream of answering.

God knows Phi was also thinking about how Luna could have lived, if not just for another day longer.
