I was watching some episodes of Spectacular Spider-Man from the complete set.

Apparently, they had help from a Korean Animation studio, much like Avatar/Korra. I guess Korea is the cheaper way to go or something? I fail to see why the American studios couldn't handle all the work themselves.

I hope you're joking.

No. It almost looks like Pixar quality, which is a huge compliment.

Keep in mind that it's a show, not a movie, so on a technical standpoint, it's quite a feat.

Most people who watch Korra either like it or love it. And there are people who prefer TLA (like myself), but still enjoy Korra for what it is.

And then of course, you have those who hate it simply because the feel and pacing of the show is very different from TLA.

I hope New Game+ counts for the 1 hour, 30 minutes speedrun.

Just wanted to say that Studio Mir has done almost all the animation for both A:TLA and Korra. It's just several episodes in Korra Book 2 that Pierrot did, and the difference is quite noticeable.

I believe Nickelodeon Studios had a fair bit of involvement with the animation, too. If not more so with TLA.

And I'm pretty sure Mir only worked on Korra.

True I certainly would have preferred this magical girl anime made by the french to have stayed anime instead of going into Pixar quality CGI, though it still looks pretty damn good none the less.

See, that's one of the very rare examples of TV show CGI done right.

Gonna give them more money?

"$100,000 for English voice acting"

what the [tornado fang]

Um, I think Digital Frontier is a Japanese animation company, not American.

Oh, I see. Still, my statement stands regarding American cartoons.

Also, I just looked it up, and Avatar/Korra is mostly a mix between American and Korean animation. Studio Pierrot also helped out with Korra, which is a Japanese company. Those really great looking episodes of Korra (like the ones with Wan), I believe was done by a korean studio by the name of Studio Mir.

Meanwhile, Nickelodeon Studios seems to be the only American company in the mix. I'd assume that's where the creators animate some of the episodes, for obvious reasons.

But yeah, it's a mix.

I'm tired of modern American cartoons being either CG or very simplified 2D. What happened?

Take some cues from Avatar, please.

Hm, I may have to write down one of the WilyRP posts as a Word document first, as it'll be somewhat difficult to describe Heinrich von Ryker's (such a fun name to say with an accent) abilities. I need to make drafts, just so it doesn't come off as confusing.

The Chaos Sphere is a relic. It's a projectile that bounces like a ball, hitting enemies in its path.

You can use relics by pressing up and Y.

It auto-saves whenever you go to the world map.

It also auto-saves after you exit the options menu.

I can't wait to spend ~$550 for the entire series.

I honestly can't tell if this is sarcasm or not.

Downloaded a demo of a game called Exogenesis, which claims to feel like a mix of Zero Escape and Ace Attorney.

I'll be the judge of that.

I probably won't play that for a while, either. I have a ton of games on backlog, but I download/buy them for whenever I do get the chance to play them.

I bought Arkham Asylum, for example, and didn't play it until like 4 years later. I just like having options.

That's not to say I just get random games. I get something if I hear a lot of positive things about it and/or see promising gameplay.

To be honest, I didn't read much about it. I keep hearing about it, so I downloaded it because whatever.

So, after dying multiple times on the final boss the first time through, I just faced her again... only this time, I beat her in a little under 2 minutes.

If you can time the pogo-jumps right, she's actually extremely easy to defeat. I'd actually say her normal form was more difficult.

Oh, and I just downloaded Katawa Shoujo.

You can never go wrong with Lego games. Never.

The only thing is that most of the fun comes from co-op. Single play is fine, but not quite as fun.

Tinker Knight's stage has 3 sheets because stage theme and 2 boss themes.

And the last 5 sheets are all in the same room in a level. So while it's usually 2 per stage, that isn't a hard number.

Do you remember the level that held the last 5?

I recall getting 3 music sheets in one of the later stages; I forgot which one though.

But yeah, there does seem to be 2 sheets, at the very least, for the average stage. I could've sworn I obtained 2 for each stage, maybe I miscalculated.

Oh those Propeller enemies that push you? They were the bane of my existence.  >_<

Haha yeah, everyone who played the game says the same thing. I now see what they mean...

Beat Shovel Knight a few minutes ago. I'm going to find the last 5 music sheets before starting New Game+ and getting the rest of the feats.

And by find, I mean look for a walkthrough on how to obtain them! 8D

Perhaps you should take some temporary downtime from RPM and get some needed rest.
