Holy [parasitic bomb], he really hit the nail on the head with this one. The entire season on the farm was [tornado fang]ing unbelieveably boring.

And I never noticed how often Shane rubbed his head. XD

Well, I just received the tablet 2 days ago. Disabling autocorrect wasn't exactly the first thing I thought about.

Or you could, you know, watch some of those shows you keep putting off because you 'don't have time.'

...

Yes, I'll get to them, too.

However, Korra recently started airing the 3rd season, and there's some aspects from TLA that I need to refresh myself on, as Korra makes references to it on occasion.

And dammit, Nexus 7, stop auto-correcting Korra as "Korea"!

Marathoning TLA to refresh my memory on a few things, and see if Korra created any plotholes.

Just watched Frozen.

It was alright, I suppose. Far from Disney's best.

Though, I will say "Let It Go" was indeed an amazing performance, like everyone stated. The rest of the songs comepletly failed in comparison. In fact, it was the only song in the movie I liked, and is worthy of standing among some of the exceptional Disney performances.

But the movie itself? Passable. Nothing special. Also, goddamn, Elsa was much more powerful than I thought she would be. She created an entire castle in 20 seconds.

Perhaps the most powerful Disney character, second to Genie.

Posting on my newly acquired Nexus 7. The screen is certainly really damn crisp, though for some reason, games like Asphalt 8 run at a sluggish pace. Guess I'll just have to stick to the PC version.

I also have to get used to typing with this thing, because the size makes it a bit awkward to hold.

It probably is pronounced like that. Still makes for a decent tongue-twister to say 5 times fast. 8D

Yeah, from the reviews and videos I've seen, the Nexus 5 is an excellent tablet. The downside, though, is that it only holds 16GB and there's no microSD slot to increase the memory...

But otherwise, the general consensus is that it's a really awesome tablet.

My sister bought a Google Nexus 5 for her husband a while back, but he ended up using his iPad a lot more. Apparently, it "suited his needs" better.

So, she's going to give me the Nexus 5 tomorrow, as she has no use for it!

So, after taking a little break from EOIV, due to being stuck for a while, I came back to it. And what do you know, I passed the part I was stuck in previously. Sometimes you need to take a breather before you can see the clear picture, I suppose.

I came across a village of Sentinals and had to fight their hulking leader, headphones on, and proceeded to rock out to the battle music

Etrian Odyssey IV - Music: Unrest - The End of Raging Winds

This glorious sex beast of a theme.

I should've came back to this game sooner.

Red Hood is absolutely amazing. IMO, that should be top priority.

Oh, and there's Batman: Gotham Knight. While it isn't technically connected to the DC Animated Universe, it's a really fun watch anyway. If you haven't seen it already, it's basically different takes/perspectives of Batman's life and adventures; a collection of animated shorts.

I hope the platinum reward on Club Nintendo is worthwhile, because all the other physical rewards are [parasitic bomb]. Even more now since they stopped manufacturing posters.

The digital stuff is fine, on occasion.

Wii U Get!!!

I bit the bullet and bought the Mario Kart 8 pack with system, game, and extra Wii-mote. Pretty sweet deal. Is it a bad thing if I duct-taped the sensor bar to the bottom of my TV. Said TV hangs on the wall.

Congrats on the Wii U. And count yourself lucky that you didn't get the dreaded system memory error that completely stops you from doing anything with the console.

Meanwhile, my Wii U is still in repair, taking forever. On the bright side, the building where it's being repaired is located in New York, so when it ships out, it'll arrive in no time.

I brought this up in the Thinking thread, but I'll repeat it here.

Would anyone be interested in a Trainer PR Video challenge?  Basically, you'd have to make the most interesting video you can, given the limitations.  They can be short vignettes, like the examples I posted, or just the most epic PR Video EVAR.  With the limitations, it forces you to think outside the box in order to tell the story that you want.

Would anyone be interested in doing this?  There won't be a prize, as I'm just curious to see what all people come up with.  If the examples took your idea, it doesn't matter.  See if you can make it better!  If we all end up making haunted house vignettes, then so be it.  Apparently, it's great for short horror flicks. :P

If I have some free time for that, I may try my hand at it. I have absolutely no idea what the theme would be though.

And I'm guessing you unlock more music, expressions, etc. for the PR videos as you progress through the game? I think i'm in the middle or something, as I haven't played in a while.

Pierrot doesn't use lots of motion, and that's a Japanese company. So yeah, totally depends on the company.

Pierrot is perhaps most famously known as the studio behind Yu Yu Hakusho.

It's a 90s anime, and as incredible as it was, it didn't have any particularly complex movements. I chalk it up to the fact that it's an old show, therefore animators were very limited with how much they could actually process, however, there's no excuse for their work with Korra. At least Hakusho had really intense, gruesome fighting scenes, despite restricted movement.

... On a side note, I keep thinking of "Parrot" whenever I see Pierrot. Those darn parrots and their crappy animation skills! 8D

Korean animation is best when it doesn't involve something that require lots of movement.

Korra requires a shitload of movement, and the Korean-made episodes look absolutely fantastic. It just depends on the company.
