Nice to know I wasted my [tornado fang]ing time for digital rewards.

I'll just get Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D a.k.a. the inferior port, and be done with it.

I'm never doing this again.

They're literally just sitting on store shelves, waiting for people to buy them. At this point I'd just buy the games for when you actually do get the console so you don't have a backlog or anything.

I still have MK8 and Wonderful 101 on my shelf, taunting me until my Wii U comes back from repair. D:

"Is the tattoo's meaning really that secretive to the point where you had to kick out the nurse?" Arche asked.

"It is," Phi nodded.

He sighed, "What do those words mean? Memento Mori if the Nineth Lion ate the Sun?" He said as he sat down on a chair, "Also, what language is 'Memento Mori' from?"

"Memento Mori is a Latin phrase. It translates to "remember death" She replied.

"That's just charming," He said sarcastically, "Remember death if the "Nineth" lion ate the sun? Why the extra 'e' in the word "ninth"?" Arche wondered.

"The extra 'e' is needed for the anagram," She responded.

"Anagram?"

"An anagram is a phrase (or word) that has its letters rearranged to create an entirely new phrase. Think of it as word play," Phi explained.

"I see. So basically, if you were to rearrange the letters from that phrase, you produce a completely different phrase?" He asked.

"Correct. Rearranging the letters from the sentence on my tattoo creates a new phrase..."

"Well, what is the new phrase?" Arche leaned in closer.

She paused briefly before responding, "The Man on the Moon rules the Infinite Time"

Arche tilted his head, " Man on the moon? Infinite time? What does that mean?"

Phi crossed her legs, "I can't tell you more than that at the moment. It could ruin our plan and potentially cause a paradox if I reveal all that I know."

"Our" plan? What on earth was she talking about? He couldn't begin to understand.

Arche sighed, "Oh God, here we go with this 'paradox' nonsense again. Do you really expect me to believe that?"

"You don't have to believe anything. However, I need you to trust me, Arche," She stated.

Could he trust her? She is easily one of the strangest people he's ever met. But she is the sister of Luna, and he has history with both of them. Out in the battlefield, despite her faults and shortcomings, he could always rely on her help. Perhaps he could overlook some of the cryptically odd quirks and secrets that this white-haired woman held.

"Fine... Can you at least tell me what Memento Mori if the Nineth Lion ate the Sun alludes to?" He asked as he rubbed his temple.

She thought for a moment, possibly thinking about what she could disclose at this current time, "Okay, but what I'm about to say may prove to be a bit... unsettling."

"I'll live," He replied.

"The phrase is referring to an alternate timeline. A timeline where I frequently traveled to during my journey with Akane. It was the reality where WilyII successfully... conquered the world," She quietly said.

"Wait, what the [tornado fang]?! Why the hell would you put that on your back then?!" He shouted.

"... As a reminder to never give up on my mission. A reminder of the consequences," She said as she gently gripped her pendant, "But it's not all negative. The man on the moon rules the infinite time... that phrase gives me hope."

"So, the anagram has two meanings. One of hope and one of consequence..." Arche said as he crossed his arms.

She silently nodded, "The sky turned red that day. Debris, pollution, smoke... there was destruction and madness everywhere you turned. The air was so filthy that red was the only color that made it through the atmosphere."

"My God..." Arche whispered as he felt his body slump in the chair.

"When most of the Resistance were defeated, some of Wily's ships converged down from the sky, while he sent his robots to hunt down the remaining Resistance. One of the ships that descended from the sky partially overlapped our view of the sun. The shape of the ship beneath the sun looked as if a lion's mouth was closing down on the sun..." She seemed a bit shaken recalling all that information.

"So, the "lion eating the sun" is a symbol of the Resistance's downfall. The day that WilyII won." He seethed angrily as he tightened his fists.

"Memento Mori -- Remember death. Remember our downfall," Phi said as she stared at the cieling.

"Remember death if the lion ate the sun."

(Light is composed of various colors; red travels the farthest. So that's why red was the only color visible through all that pollution. That also explains why the sun is red on her tattoo.)

My god this would so help for lowering the items I want to get for Christmas.

This would make for an awesome (early) birthday present to myself. I have my eye on Mario Golf and Kirby.

I would've snagged Bravely Default if I actually liked the battle system.

Maybe the rest of the forum wouldn't be so dead if people spaced out their posts a little to different threads.

People post where ever they want to post.

Posting in different threads won't necessarily provoke others to do the same.

Yay!  The Eevee is ready as it just hatched.

Now to watch the PR videos of random people...

I hate that you have to ask permission to watch other videos. What's so private about it?

It seems counterintuitive.

Phi and Arche stuck around a bit to hear Kit's story, then made their way inside the Fxenodrome.

The two walked around the interior of the building, admiring the various machinery and mechs that could be seen behind massive glass walls. They soon approached a room that had "Infirmary" labeled above it.

"That was much easier to find than I thought it would be," Arche said as he opened the door.

"Oh, hello there! Are you in need of medical attention?" A nurse, bearing a name tag that read "Amber", approached the two.

Phi nodded, "I have a wound that requires stitching."

"Okay, please have a seat here while I get everything set up," Amber said and turned away to retrieve the appropriate medical supplies.

Arche paced around for a few seconds before speaking, "I guess I'll just wait outside until y-"

"You're staying right here," Phi spoke quickly, like a stroke of a blade.

"Why? I'm just-"

Phi shot a rather terrifying glare at Arche. Although she said nothing, what needed to be said was written all over her face.

"O-Okay, fine," He sighed. Either she wanted to talk to him about something, or she didn't want to be left alone with a stranger, he thought. He quickly redacted the latter, as he couldn't imagine Phi as the type to be paranoid around others.

Amber came back with the supplies, "Alright, if you would please take off your jacket and remove the bandaging from your shoulder, we can get started."

Phi did as she was told and the nurse began stitching her up.

As the process was underway, Arche's focus was on Phi's tattoo that was located on her shoulder blade. It was ominous and something about it was... calling to him, somehow. It was of a Lion devouring a red sun; the words underneath it read: Memento Mori if the Nineth Lion ate the Sun.

He couldn't help but stare, and he couldn't place a finger on what was pulling him in.

As Amber finished up the stitching, she applied a fresh piece of cotton on it and wrapped it with adhesive guaze, "Okay, and we're done!" She smiled.

She stretched and rotated her arm in a circular motion, "Thanks."

Arche spoke up, "So, Phi, about that-"

"Tattoo?" She interrupted.

"Yeah, something about it seems... I want to say familiar, but I'm not sure." He rubbed his chin.

"Familiar..." Phi repeated and a small smile appeared on her face. She turned to the nurse, "Hey, can you give us a minute here? I'd like to keep this conversation private."

"Uh, I'm not really allowed to-" Amber started to say.

"10 minutes, tops. Here, get yourself something nice," Phi reached into her pocket and dumped two coins into Amber's hand.

"This is only 2 zenny..." Amber said blankly.

"Are you seriously bribing a nurse?!" Arche exclaimed.

"It would appear so, yes." Phi answered flatly.

".....….."

"Look, just hurry up and leave, this is confidential information I'm going to disclose!" Phi stated sternly.

"Sorry about this..." Arche said to Amber as she left the room puzzled.

(Next post will be about the tattoo.)

I still love Weird Al!

That's pretty awesome.

But I swear, I keep hearing Happy all the time on the radio when I'm out. I'm pretty sure 90% of the Earth's population has heard it by now.

Nothing wrong with buying a book only for the pretty pictures! XD

No objections there!
