I also decided to try the FNaF demo on Android, to see how it compared to the real version.

« on: September 16, 2014, 04:15:37 AM »I kind of want to get a Wii U. I guess I'm weird in that I have no desire to buy a PS4 or a Xbox One, but I want a Wii U. I guess my mentality is that most of the games that come out for PS4 or Xbox, I can pick up on PC. The Wii U is the only next gen system with any interesting exclusives on it. It's the only place to get Mario, Smash Bros, and Zelda. And I really like the things I've heard about the next Zelda game.
My PC would not be able to handle most PS4 games, so I'm getting a PS4, regardless. Plus, Uncharted 4 is a Sony-exclusive, which is further incentive to buy the console.

The overall plot makes sense (for the most part), if you're willing to really pay attention to all the games and think about how they connect; however, it's by no means good and comes off as needlessly cluttered.

Huh, I had no idea you played that series. Personally, the main draw for me is the gameplay; it's just too irresistible, especially Birth by Sleep. I actually liked BbS' plot, but KH3D's plot was a train wreck in so many ways.

The stories in those games are always absurdly complex and hard to follow. It's done on purpose that way and it's just not a compelling way to tell a story. Multi-layered stories have a place, but only when they're written cohesively. The story in Xeno games is often loose and full of complexity for complexity sake, not because it adds something to the story. Basically, it comes off as pretentious and I stopped caring within playing a few hours of those games.
Kingdom Hearts comes to mind.

Just watched Chronicle.
Such an amazing [tornado fang]ing movie, I can't believe I've never seen it before. The ending was a bit anti-climactic, though, and cuts off at an odd point, but still great fun overall.
Definitely have to buy the blu-ray.
