Well with Magnetman his stage is easy, its an easy boss and having the magnet missles early helps. In the second loop my choice is Snakeman. Easy stage with an easy boss.

I would like to point out that from 4-6 the first boss for me if im in a lazy mood is the one that gives me rush jet.

As is im really digging that intro theme.
Im almost done with Counter Hunter theme.
Just need to lay the lead guitar and tinker with the drums.
I cant seem to get the same quality percussion as you though! :3

Took some ibuprofen, I'm calling it an early night.  I threw out my shoulder.  Literally.  My nephew wanted to play catch, so after I had spent an hour straight treading water (constant shoulder movement), I go spend another hour or so whipping this spiky glowing ball (no, it wasn't a Shadow Jelly-roll/Prune) around the yard.  So, I threw out my shoulder.
I hope you feel better soon! My shoulders and back are still achey from having to vacuum out every ceiling vent in the 5 story hospital i work at.

I do believe MMU impressions will be more and more positive with time. The game has problems, but clearly Phil put a lot of thought and heart into it. There are many great ideas here.

I just hope they don't forget about the game's technical issues. The memory/CPU thing in particular, they really should work on that.

That said, "easy mode" is kind of a dick move.
This is how i feel about it. Its like a strong whiskey. A bit off putting at first but after a few shots it gets a lot better.

409
Sounds like a plan to me! :3
I technically did Crystal Snail but not really in a way that would sound in-game, if that makes sense.
I wouldn't say I'm that good at it at all. I really just use it for it's simplicity and decent resampling rates.
I've also gotten rather good at making my own in program synth instruments. I also have made about 100 different EQ presets for specific types of instruments and guitar yada yada.
It's a great program and I've easily made over 100 remixes with it by now. Most of those being 'sound sketches' if you will haha.

Yeah I'm done programming all of the notes and I've learned it on guitar and bass (makes sequencing it easier for me) I just don't know how i want to tackle it.
Maybe Ill just make one heavier on synth and another vice versa and let the people decide. And since i know you have it i can send you my MX6 files if you ever want to play with anything i have made haha! XD

410
Hahaha awesome. That will make sending you tracks even easier! XD
Honestly I have no idea what DAW is. I've been using Mixcraft since Mixcraft 4. I usually just make my midi in guitar pro and then import it into Mixcraft because I can't understand the piano roll!! D:

Also what is funny is that i'm currently working on a Magna Centipede remaster of my own and I did Counter hunter 1 a few years back minus a drum track. It was bad.
Looking forward to your next release! :D

411
Well I have a thread here titled Invasion Beta 2.0 if you want to listen to some of the recordings I have done. Lots of synth involved myself. usually due to laziness hahah. I also have a bass i can use as well. I am actually more proficient with that than i am at the guitar. Despite having ten less years of experience. =P I just dislike the synth-tar because i always know it is fake but sometimes it has moments when it fits better than a real guitar. Specifically when trying to make it sound like an old school videogame! BTW what program did you use to make this? I use Mixcraft 6.

412
It may just be my phone's speaker but the drums seem a little loud. Other than that it is very well done and i agree that it would fit in just fine. My only issue, a minor one, is that i dislkke synth guitar. I dont know whethrer or not ypu own and play a guitar so if you want any guitar tracks let me know! Im not amazing but i like pkating guitar a lit so let me kbow! :D

I dont personally find Mmu too be terrible. I just think it is a little disappointing is all. I feel like they rushed to get it done when the end goal was in sight resulting in oversights of simple errors and poor choices. The only thing about it in my eyes are the checkpoints. I guess the cutscene art as well but i dont play megaman for its story so i skip the cut scenes anyways haha. I mean as frustrating as the game can be t times there are momenets that i feel like im playing a genuine megaman game and those are great moments. Its not in anyway any kind of masterpiece but you know what? I didnt spend any money on it and they didnt even have to make it so the fact its actually a fully completed fan game still is a really nice treat.

Sorry i couldnt help it! XD
The boobies are a sham! 8D

Anyway, let's keep the topic confined to the game itself from now on.  If this derails into unrecognizability again, it will be locked.  Thanks.

Speaking of the game, now that i have played it a little longer (therefore knowing what to expect) ive had time to actually enjoy the music and graphics. With the exception of Yoku and Trinitro themes, most dont sound like a megaman game. But to me thats a good thong. While im not exactly humming along to them theyre very well done and are mostly (rainbow mans is awful) a joy to listen to and i like them a lot. Especially Tank Man which sounds similar in style to Double Dragon.

The graphics are nice as well for the most part. The only real error i noticed are the spikes in the 2nd fortress stage which partially obscure the tubes in the background. They're crisp and detailed but not too much. I especially enjoyed the look of the 1st fortress stage. The decrepid (spelling?) Look gives me this feeling of foreboding at first. Very nice. Then you have Rainbow Mans stage which is just, kind if there and rainbow-y. Just overall too dark for a guy all about colors. The background's awkward dark blue just makes it worse. I expected something more cheerful like Clown Man or Ring Man.

@tron: i agree. If all you want to do is advertise go to the megaman network and e mail them when your project is nearly conplete. Not only will posting throughout the site help us like you, it will help you learn what aspects of mega games we like or dislike. As is most people will see your thread, see you only posted for an ad, and another 8 bit game and silently move on. Which will make it very hard to aqcuire quality feedback.

For the most part we have a really nice community with awesome mods and a wonderful owner. Please don't take her kindness for granted okay?

Well for the sake of not being a total embarrasment I hope he doesn't. That would be showing maximum butt hurt. More importantly I don't understand why people just have to fight online. Its so easy to just not respond and leave it alone! XD

But X6 didn't bug me so much because I find myself far better at the X games than I am at classic titles.

Likewise MM9 is absolutely atrocious in my eyes as it just had so much that wasn't fun about it. The lack of something like the slide didn't help either.
That is true. With the X games by default you have more abilities at your disposal to survive. In this one not being able to chatrge your buster feels more like a handicap than 9. I will admit i like it less than 9 and if you dislike 9 this will not be fun. I think you made the right call in dodging it! XD Also just putting this out there, these bosses rely on collision damage in my experience with Mmu.

I enjoyed X6, but I played it on easy.

Even when I played it on normal it wasn't too bad.
thats Exactly how this feels. Things hit you hard at first but you get used to it. Also if its too hard the game gives you plenty of bolts and e tanks and w tanks are only thirty bolts.

Problem is fun and interesting don't both apply to everything.

Is Ratchet and Clank fun? Yes. Interesting? Also yes.

Sonic 06, fun not especially. Interesting definitely.

Left 4 Dead isn't terribly interesting, but it can be hella fun if played with friends.

Megaman Unlimited isn't looking or sounding like it is very fun. And while it could be interesting I don't know how interesting could it be.
It's a lot like the later X games. Once you get everything THEN the game opens up and becomes fun. If you enjoyed X6 you'll like this one. If you are actually sane, you might be better off passing over this one. IMHO that is.

I'll be honest. I'm playing MMU on an 09 Toshiba laptop Vista SP2 and have experienced no lag or slowdown. Runs perfectly fine for me. But it possess my controller somehow, and Megaman does his own thing sometimes which almost always, leads to his untimely demise.
Are you using the default controller or something like Xpadder or Joy2Key?
