There was a 2-CD release of X8, specially in the Japan/Asia area.
Capcom must have changed it for the Europe release into one DVD. ^^

o.o You can't order on that page. It's the Circle or the group who made the game.

There are a bunch of other sites you can try and get it from, like Rakuten.

Is the site's old art gallery on archive anywhere (like on that lol.rockmanpm site)? There's some good art there that I want to look at again.
The old art? I have it saved somewhere in a hard drive. Most of it at least. ^^;
I hope to bring it back someday, but I'm not sure when... o.o

Here you go, Gonzo~
The official artwork is on the very first folder. ^^

Um, I dunno.
Maybe SquEnix did borrow some things from Albert, but when you look a little closer, the final boss still has Sora's clothes and looks. >U<

Look closely at the trailer. There are a lot of explosion effects, more detailed sprites and separate body part sprites for big bosses and Slug mechas. I'm sure SNK Playmore have tried this game on a DS first. It can definitely handle a Metal Slug game (this is how we got MS7), but I'm sure they want to make a game that doesn't lag or slowdown. And maybe it's less troublesome for them to program for the PSP? If they used the exact same sprites, tiles and backgrounds, it might slowdown the DS. >.<

Lucky I got the PSP~ ^^b

Reviving this thread~

For a couple of days, I've been having fun with Half-Minute Hero (PSP). :3

I registered an account at the official ranking website.

There are some good records already, but I'm improving some more everyday.

If you want to join, you must own the game first, because there are passwords inside the game that you need to type on the website. o.o
The website counts Highest Level, the most Gold earned and the Fastest Time on each quest.

About the game...

It's so silly, fun and addicting. You have to beat each quest in 30 seconds or the world will be crushed. There are other modes too, like an Real-Time Strategy about a Beautiful Evil Lord, and a Shooter game with a Princess. Funny and silly dialogs that pokes fun at the game's plot and environment, kinda like Pole's Big Adventure. >v<

The main game, "Hero 30", is a fast-mode type RPG where you try to figure out what to do to beat the evil lord on every quest. Within the 30 seconds, you need to level up, buy gear, gather up items before time runs out. You can pray to the Time Goddess statue so that you can gain more time, but each time you do it it will be more and more expensive. Anyone can play it. It's more of an action RPG game really. No turn-based things. There are random battles tho. ^^

This is the real official website, with info and pictures.
The other one I mentioned is just for submitting high scores. >U<

One difference is a black screen that loads up every level. Fade out, then fade in.
Oh, and of course the language. ^^;

I'm surprised no one mentioned it. >U<

For those who can actually find them in (well-hidden) stores, the XLink Kai adapters that you connect to the USB-port should work for anyone who wants to play PSP games online. Yes, including the games that only use Ad Hoc. This also works for Gamecube and PS2 as well. There are Mac drivers to install too. ^^

Oh wait, Amazon has it. Someone should help me get one too >U<
