Very true. Ah well, I guess we'd just have to do!

LoL, I'm gonna have to make this Nintendo vs. Capcom topic, aren't I?  8D

SO BE IT!

The handling in SC was pretty flawless from what I remember. The coin thing was a throwback to SMK on the SNES, which was a fun concept and a mode I think could be brought back for a new Mario Kart game, as collecting coins added an interesting element to the game. In essence, the only game I thought had bad handling was Double Dash. MKDS's handling is very good, and so is Mario Kart Wii.

As for the Double Dash mechanic, if they had an optional mode for that kind of co-op gameplay, and just improve it in ways myself and others have mentioned in the thread, I think it could be fun, as long as it's an optional mode like the coin thing I just mentioned.

As I mention to Josh in my podcast, I like Spidey in almost every comic but his own. He's great in New Avengers, I like how Hickman wrote him in Fantastic Four, so I'm looking forward to him in Future Foundation, and Ultimate Spidey is excellent. And yeah, that Spidey strip I get in my CSN is also awesome. I really only dislike him in his own series.

It could be done with their characters. I think they could make an RPG that appeals to all ages.

And the vs. Capcom series are pretty much kiddish already, so I think a Nintendo vs. Capcom could work. Haha, just no Pikachu, as he'd be Servbot tiny enough to avoid most attacks.

Let's calm down, alright? Have any of you read the comic yet? I mean, when I first heard about the main idea for Blackest Night (canon superpowered zombies and corps of many colors) I found it the stupidest thing I've ever heard. Then I loved it. I'm gonna read the comic and check out the context of this "loss" before I say anything. I mean, did we already forget what freaky powers that "The Other" story gave him? Arm spikes and controlling spiders? Jesus, losing one power for an indeterminate amount of time might just be a simple bother.

Yes, I have read it. AND. IT'S. STUPID. Not to mention that I'm not even quite sure how he lost it. The Other was also stupid, especially considering the fact that those powers have pretty much been wiped out of continuity thanks to the other majestically awesome bit of STUPID known as OMD. Not to mention that they stopped being used about.....I don't know.....THREE ISSUES AFTER THE DAMN EVENT.

And what I also dislike about it is that he had to make a bullet proof Spider-Suit to wear, and it's hideous...

LOOK. AT. IT. It's [tornado fang]ing ugly. And until his Spider-Sense comes back, he has to continue wearing this abomination.

He's pumping out new suits like a 80's Toon Toy Whore Monger.

His new bullet-proof armor is absolutely hideous.

So apparently, Spider-Man no longer has his Spider-Sense.

...Wow.

I must say, I'm really enjoying this thus far. Especially the battle music. It's really good.

But they really need to get rid of losing items. It was never a good idea in the first place.

Or just save that "feature" for one or two items, like, I dunno, the Bullet Bill or something specifically designed for that. Stealing items by crashing into someone at max speed with a mushroom though? That has to stay.

The only item I think should do that is the POW block!

I still think that there should be an option to turn off losing items after getting hit by a strong attack.

Oh, that shouldn't even be an option. They need to immediately get rid of losing items all together. It's awful.

The items are already unbalanced in the MK games since Double Dash. To be able to remove items, with it's current system, would upset the fragile system they already have.

The problem with an Item Switch in Mario Kart is that unlike with Brawl, there would probably be a balance issue.

Behold TEAM MEAT-WALL

Good matches. Lag wasn't too bad, only had spurts near the ends of matches.

The end match lag reeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaallly [tornado fang]'d me over in that 2nd to last match. It would NOT activate the X Factor. That just pissed me off.

Either way though, good matches. Hopefully we can play again when I have FIOS.

Well seeing as how that idea seems to be gaining popularity, someone should maybe create a Nintendo vs. Capcom thread and showcase what characters they'd like to see on both sides, their fighting styles, what moves & supers you'd like them to have, and so on.  8D

Friend request sent to you PB. Ready for some matches.

Okay. First I have to download the update.

Lets see how this goes! XD

Right. I forget the 'rents are streaming something. The lag was probably my fault.

I can't wait till I get FIOS.

NinCap is easily the one with the most potential, especially if they go in the tag fighter direction.

I dunno. I think a Nintendo RPG would probably make the most money.

I was just thinking about this in the Mario Kart thread, and just thought I'd see what everyone else thought or could come up with.

Now, as we all know, Nintendo has a plethora of characters and universes that could be combined to form fun and awesome games, I.E. Smash Bros. Since the Smash Bros. series has undeniably been a hit, it's most likely inevitable that they will do it again in possibly different ways. The question is how. The other question is, how would you, the gaming RPMers out there, like to see them do it.

As I mentioned in the other thread, I think the Mario Kart series will eventually lead into a Nintendo Kart series, which could be very interesting in terms of items & karts. It might just be too crazy & item universal to work in a Mario Kart type atmosphere, but if done right, it could be interesting enough.

Now, a Nintendo RPG is probably the next, most logical progression. As I am not an RPG expert, I'm curious how the RPGers out there would like to see it done.

A Nintendo RTS game would also be interesting, but again, I know very little about RTS's either, so I'm curious how the RTSers out there would like to see it done.

A Nintendo vs. Capcom perhaps? I don't see any reason why not.  8D

Anyway, throw out your ideas here!

Yeah, MK64 Rainbow Road is my favorite Rainbow Road as well. My personal favorite track from MK64 is probably Toad's Turnpike. However, my BEST track in that game, as well as any MK track is hands down Banshee Boardwalk. I dominate on that stage to the point of it almost being a guaranteed win. I'm seriously not bragging either. I lose maybe 1-2% on that stage.

I haven't brought this up yet, but eventually I think they'll start adding in other Nintendo franchises to the karting experience.
