Just tell me if this is true.

I loved all his past stuff. Still going to watch this next friday. But this kinda makes me scared that we're putting Superman in this man's hands.

Oh well, he's amazing with adaptations.

The good thing about Superman is that he's not writing it. I think a combination of him & Nolan could work very well.

LoL, Friday was a lot of fun. You sounded like you had fun with it! Fun with singing is always good, especially parody songs. I should work on some again...

Also, you know I love when you make Blues look sexy!  8)

I don't know if I would ever be interested enough in "Aquaman: Rebirth" to warrant buying it. Aquaman always struck me as a blander version of Namor the Sub-Mariner though Mera was always hawt.  8)

Personally I think Aquaman is a bit more interesting than Namor somewhat, plus I think you can do a lot more with his characters moreso than Namor as well.

Here's what's stopping me from continuing reading what I'm reading.

Green Lantern. I'm about to finally hit Blackest Night. I see how it spans into all sorts of things and I wonder "Dear god, how much of this do I really need to read?". And being a bit of a glutton, I like to know everything going on. And then after that, doesn't Brightest Day span over frikken everything?

Like, what is the absolute essential and what can I skip?

Other than that, I'm dreading getting towards what's it called.. Batman, Inc? The whole concept just makes me weep.

With Blackest Night, you can primarily stick to the main 3 titles of Blackest Night, Green Lantern, and Green Lantern Corps. I forget which order you should read it in, but I'm sure a quick Google search or something will uncover that for you. If you want to read some of the mini-series you can, but I don't think it's entirely necessary. Some are much better than others. And Brightest Day is pretty much self contained. A good companion book to it is Justice League: Generation Lost. Green Arrow slightly ties in as well, but not enough where you have to pick it up.

And Batman Inc. is fuckin' awesome! Again though, if you don't like Morrison's writing, then I wouldn't bother.

You will try!  B(

Calm down, people. We got the same thing over here. Some stuff, like the most stupid words kids make up, make it to the dictionary as "Youngster grunt".

Heck, the UK's got "Bovvered" in their dictionary because of that Catherine Tate skit.

You know what my nation's currently doing? The entire portuguese language is being changed in order to make it easier for immigrants. Which means, make it more like the brazillian portuguese words and pronounciation. They're gonna squander the entire language just because more people speak it. Imagine if the UK had to change their words, in their language, for the sake of the US. It's sick.

Yessh, that's pretty messed up too. My real problem is that....they are not words. They are abbreviations.

Well, just got home from watching this movie. Josh & I were talking about it for quite a while afterwards. The movie is definitely a Zack Snyder movie, as it is both visually stunning and edited extremely well. Also, the soundtrack for the movie is quite excellent.

LoL, the problem is that the movie makes no sense. Like.....none. You have really zero attachment to any of the characters, which is a huge problem considering their situation & their goal, which you really don't care about seeing as how you again have no real attachment to the characters. Also the voice over dialog really just doesn't make any sense, which fits right in with the movie's story not making any sense.

To best describe the visuals, it's pretty much like watching a video game almost. It's really half a good movie. The visuals & soundtrack & actually movie elements itself are quite good. Sadly though, the most important part, the story & characters, are pretty much null and void.

Yeah I'm still suprised I remember that considering I never read the story of the Mirror World, or what ever it was called.

Does this mean your FRESCA is turning Sumg?

Hahaha, perhaps young one. Perhaps! That's up to the story writers.

Don't we already have Breakman Jazz?

You know, it makes me happy that people still remember that!   XD

But I figured that if heroes are becoming villains, then my egotastic powers might be used for naughty evil instead of sexy good.

PB is going to see Sucker Punch in IMAX tonight. I'm really looking forward to this movie, as one thing Zack Snyder does better than most is just make visually beautiful movies.

LoL, he promised us Larfleeze's oath so we'll hear it soon enough. I'm also curious as to the backstory of the Indigo Tribe as well. LoL, and the new book Red Lantern should be interesting enough.

As for Johns, after Brightest Day is over with, I really really would love him and Reis to work on an Aquaman book, even though I know it probably won't do well.

That's good. You seem to be in a decent shape from your pics. Swimming's always a problem without a public pool nearby or something. It is considered one of the best (if not the best) physical activity there is, mostly because it works on all of your muscles, it gets you used to a good posture, and it's good for your breathing in general. All of this would fit to a tee to me, having several breathing problems and living in one of the most coastal beachy countries ever. >_> But I'm too much of a [sonic slicer] to get over my hydrophobia.

Yeah, I'm in much better shape than I have been in a long time. This summer, if I can store my bike in my job (because it's a nice bike and I do NOT trust it outside), I'm hoping to bike back and forth to work every day the weather deems it okay to do so.

And yes, swimming is the best exercise for you because of all the reasons you mentioned, plus it's probably the most fun! I would try to find a gym that has a pool, but sadly this year is all about trying to save money, so a gym is an expense I can do without for now. That sucks about your phobia though.

Got nothing to do with either, really. The Adonis bod is something so ridiculously hard to achieve. I know a guy who went all the way, spent a horrible amount of money in proteins and weights, completely got obcessed with his body, and exercised an amazing amount of hours every single day. This went on for years. His arms certainly got a bit bigger, but he didn't look different at all. When he flexed, I went "Oh, he's not that skinny anymore", but after that, he might have been the most physically fit person I knew, but he didn't look a wee bit different. Most stuff about your body is sadly genetic. You won't become Flex Mentallo if you start doing a daily exercise. The objective isn't that, and was never that. The amount of training to achieve a status you're talking about is ridiculous.

I'm just talking about leading a healthy lifestyle. Being able to do ALOT more things without getting tired. Looking the same as you get older. Being able to defend yourself if necessary. Feeling better, not about your body, buy overall better, happier and with the right chemicals going through you and not worrying about beer bellies or bad skin. Your day will seem like it has more hours, you'll gain more vitality and will be hungrier and more alert in general. Your senses themselves will feel like they're improved. Even your memory will be better. Feel like working a longer day? You won't feel tired about it. Any frustrations you have will either disappear or be easier to handle. And your mind in general will feel clearer.

Heck, the reason I exercise isn't even any of those, but I do welcome them. The reason I do, is so as I get older, I don't lose any of my faculties. So my memory stays the same, so I'm able to work as many hours as I do today, so I don't have to feel as if I'm getting more and more frail or tired, or more forgetful as I go. I already had a great self-esteem back when I didn't lift a muscle, it's not that. It's having a longer longevity of all things in general. Never feeling useless at anything, no matter how things go.

BTW, look like Genndy's moving to Sony Pictures Entertainment. As long as they give him a lead position and let him do his stuff, good for him.

Lol, that was a lengthy response to me being silly. XD

Actually, I have been meaning to work on my upper body a bit, but I have been eating a lot healthier lately and have gone down two pants size, and I feel great. What sucks is that it is really hard for me to do my favorite exercise; swimming.

I definitely do not get to swim enough.
