Oh, I might not do anything. What I have planned for her might have nothing to do with PBPB and Fxeni!  8)

"Hey, are you Sailor Sun? Cause DAMN YOU'RE HOT!"

It's not, sadly. I wish it were though.

Yeah no, that's tracing alright!

Soooo I'm moving out tomorrow. Sorry, I haven't been on, packing was, is, and always will be a [sonic slicer].

No need to apologize, even though we miss you when you're not on! And yeah...packing. I have a closet full of model kit & toy boxes for my eventual move, whenever that may be.

Eh... I try to evolve it as organically as possible, if it's there at all. Occasionally I'll make one in the backstory, depending on what I'm trying to achieve and the circumstances. Otherwise, what happens happens.

That's why I'm kinda enjoying PBPB & Fxeni right now!  [eyebrow]

Anime & Manga / Re: What Anime are you Currently Watching?

There's so many flashbacks... so so many. Of all sorts. All over the place. Maybe I'm spoiled by the UC stuff, but the various series would have been able to survive without watching the ones that came before it. This one might be able to as well, if they took out all the freaking fluff of flashbacks.

It's just a symptom of the extreme laziness of the series. By now you've probably started to notice the same fight scene over and over again with the two mechs spinning around each other firing beams, then one chasing the other.

Not gonna lie, I think that color scheme is sexy!  [eyebrow]

I know it sucks, damn mind distracting me and stuff when I should be doing that.  Another thing is I need a smooth transmission between the meeting and the Red Alert, but as I said I am getting it done slowly.

I'd have the Red Alert take place during the meeting, then fast forward to the battle at the Fxenodrome. No need to draw out them actually getting there.

The problem is that I don't want to write the next part because I'm excited about the other parts but it is getting done slowly.  Other than that I got nothing.

Wait...what? You don't want to write what's next because you're excited about writing future stuff? Haha, but you have to write the next part in order to get to that stuff.

Home, my bro is still in the hospital.

Ah okay. Sorry to hear that. Perhaps writing would take your mind off of things? It helps me sometimes.

So I'm up to 23 in Gundam Seed Destiny... man those flashbacks. He's sad that his family died... I don't need to see it every episode. I get it. Well, maybe it isn't every episode... but it sure as hell feels like it.

It gets worse.

I agree. Waiting sucks. I've seriously gone to stores in NYC and paid more for stuff because I hate the wait.

I have problems.

It really irks me when someone tells me that I shouldn't go to Hobby Lobby because they're run by Christians.  So the [tornado fang] what?  Look, it's easy for you to avoid going there when you live in an area with more choices and everything's closer together and easily accessible.  Try living in an area where things are spread out across four or five counties.  Also, try living in that area with no transportation of your own and be forced to rely on others to get where you need to go.

In an area such as Gettysburg, all the larger stores are either in York, Franklin, Cumberland, or Dauphin county.  NONE OF THEM are in Adams county.  When I need to go somewhere, I will choose the location with the shortest driving distance, and it is quicker to go to Hobby Lobby--which is a straight shot west on Rte 30--than it is to go to Michael's or AC Moore, none of which are on 30.

This is what I tried to explain to people at this nerd social gathering thing I went to at the Way Station in Brooklyn, which is a Doctor Who themed bar. The gathering was asking about nerd culture in today's society and how people there thought it had become accepted. The thing is that these people are living in NYC, where just about everything is accepted and there are multiple places to go to & have easy access to.

But it's hard in the rest of America because there's not much out there in the country. Little to no transportation and not much else offering up into the world of nerd society, whether it be anime, comics, figures, or whatever. Sports still reigns supreme in the majority of this country and in a lot of places nerds are still seen as outcasts, especially now that they can retreat to the net.

I find the best way to get to know someone is to simply listen to their interests and see if there is even a shred of common ground to work with. Popular TV shows are usually a good "in" so to speak. Breaking Bad, The Walking Dead, Game of Thrones, and other such shows help with this. From there it's possible to build upon that and move on to other likes & dislikes and hopefully form a friendship.

As with most things, it all depends on the character and the situation. Sometimes it's good for the situation and sometimes it's not. Love always can make for an interesting plot point, but it depends on how it's done.

Personally, I find Traumatic Present much better than Traumatic History.

For example, one of the greatest pieces of storytelling in modern day...anything is TNG's The Best of Both Worlds. It was not only a story showing the growth of Riker, but actually showing the downfall of the show's title character, Picard. Captain of the flagship of the Federation, and he came this close to wiping out everything he held dead, after killing thousands along the way. How it was done was so beautiful as well. The Borg stripped him of everything he was, everything he had become and then assimilated his knowledge & wisdom into helping them murder & kill. It's perfect. That's true character development.

That's what I was trying to go for with PB in the Wily RP. His ego is his greatest weapon. The source of his power, so to speak. So what if someone turned his own power against him, twisting who he is, and used him to kill. How would he cope with that? That is where I feel trauma is used best.
