Mom loves her DS and Puzzle Games.
Dad doesn't play much anymore, but use to go toe to toe with me in Mario Kart 64 Battle Mode.

Never knew my Grandparents.

Took this today, while standing in what might as well be a wind tunnel along the Susquehanna and dealing with a very strong dog who wouldn't stay still.

I think I was in mid sentence in telling my dog to "wait."

Looks cold!  XD

It's terrible! Also, even if anyone gives me suggestions, I doubt I have the cards you'll suggest to swap out, or anything. xD

Hey, if you don't have the cards, then you make due with what you've got.  But yeah, in terms of a Fusion Deck, it's not very good.

Ranma.

Do you really think this game could handle the Saotome School of Anything Goes Martial Arts?

LoL, indeed it is Cyborg 009.  Kick ass!  XD

Haha, by the time we get this, the Wii will have announced their Wii Tablet, a touch screen pad for playing games, which they developed for their next big game, Wii Draw!   8D

19088
...Touch screen? I don't remember saying anything about that...you sure you saw what you saw?

Around 2:00 in the first vid.  It certainly looks like a touch screen.

19089
Haha, touch screen Arcade Game?  Yeah, NO chance we'd ever get this here in our pitiful arcades.  Not even Chi-Town will get this.

Still though, the game is looking more bad-ass with each vid & post.

I could think of several ways of how to improve this deck because it does seem a bit unbalanced in my eyes.

How so?

6 Trap Cards Total

Dark Paladin/Last Warrior Deck Total
45 Cards / 5 Fusion Monster Cards

This is one of my better decks, IMO.  This deck first started out as a basic Spellcaster/Warrior deck, but thus evolved into this.  What I love about this deck is the many combinations it has, not to mention the great search ability of it.  King of the Swamp searches for Polymerization, if I need it.  Emblem of Dragon Destroyer gets me a Buster Blader from the Deck or Graveyard, allowing me to pretty much discard him if I need too.  Reinforcements of the Army can be used to get me Gobby, if I need brute force, Marauding Captain, if I need to use the MC Wall Stall, Zombrya if I need another stall or if I want to fuse him to get Last Warrior, or good ol' Exiled Force to get rid of something before pulling out a Fusion.

Also, if you notice, this deck is very Magic heavy, and really has no Traps except for Mirror Force, which really goes in every deck, and the Seven Tools/Dust Tornado's which are meant to stop or destroy trap cards.  The Magic Cards are pretty much either Search Cards, Fusion stuff, or Magic/Trap destroyers.  Otherwise though, this deck moves pretty fast.  I can't tell you how many times I've gotten Dark Paladin out on the first turn.

This deck's main weakness is Creature Effect cards, or a deck that specializes in stopping magic, like a Silent Swordman deck.  Otherwise though, I'm very happy with this deck.  Granted, sometimes the Crohn's Of The Cards likes to give me NOTHING but my LVL 7 Monsters all at once, as well as an Emblem of Dragon Destroyer just to [tornado fang] with me, but overall this is definitely one of my favorite decks to duel with.  Oh, how this deck, and I, miss Sinister Serpent though!  XD

Questions or Comments would be fun!   8)

What's funny is, I'm have tempted to see if I can go to the midnight release of it on Thursday, seeing as how I get out of work at 11 anyway.  So it's not like I'll be that far from a theater!    8D

Heh, I think I can talk Wil into it!  =D

Entertainment / Who Watches The Watchmen?
« on: February 20, 2009, 09:48:51 AM »

Normally, I would just keep this in the At The Movies thread, but I thought a movie of this grand scope deserved it's on topic.  Now, it's probably safe to say that Watchmen is my most anticipated movie of the year.  Sorry Dragonball: Evolutions & Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun-Li, but Watchmen just beats you out.

Needless to say, my anticipation for this movie grows more and more each day.  I'm seeing more posters, I'm seeing more TV Spots, and I'm also getting feedback from places like the Comic Con ing-awesome.html]and from Wil Wheaton, that this movie is not only [tornado fang]ing awesome, but very very very true to the Graphic Novel from which the story comes from.  Not just in terms of the writing either, but also in terms of direct scenes from the novel itself.  Basically, technology has finally gotten to a point where this movie could be made.  Using the 300 style effects and such, there are literally scenes so awesome, it's just like watching the Graphic Novel itself.

For those who don't know, Watchmen is probably one of the most, if not THE most, famous Graphic Novels ever released.  Ever.  This book, as well as Frank Miller's The Dark Knight Returns pretty much changed comics forever.  Whether for good or for bad is a discussion that can go on for days.  However, they changed comics not because they were bad, but because they were so [tornado fang]ing good.  This movie is Rated R for a reason too.  This is not your typical Superhero story at all.  It's not Spider-Man, or Batman, or anything like that.  Do not go into this movie expecting a fuckton of action or anything like that.  It's the story itself that makes it so good.  Heh, for those MGS fans out there who did know, your boy Snake, David Hayter co-wrote the screenplay.  I'm sure that will make some people happy!

My tickets for the IMAX showing of this movie have already been purchased, and my showing is already sold out.  LoL, I haven't set the bar as high as my friend, who literally proclaims that "If I don't walk out of there thinking that this is the best movie ever made, I'm demanding my money back.", but my bar has been set pretty damn high.  I highly recommend that people go out and purchase the graphic novel either before or after the movie.  Either way, March 6th cannot get here fast enough for me.

19094
I had pretty much the same kind of luck with my first ever booster pack. Mirror Force was so damn good. Then it got stolen. D:

Someone jacked your Mirror Force?  That's just wrong.

...Although it's just so useful.  But still, WRONG!

Either way, maybe tonight or tomorrow, I'll go through what decks I have right now and post what cards are in them.  I'd like to here other opinions on it and such.

ANY WAY!

Hehe, couldn't resist.  Sorry!

Oh...this is looking so very, VERY Sexcellent.

Holy Damn!  First of all, the gameplay, while not as fast as VO, still looks very stellar and sexcellent!  The different units will probably make for some bad-ass 10X10 battles.

Second, I really like that song in the 2nd video.

Go back?! What about those of us who have yet to go?!  >_< 8D

Ummmmm...then I'm sorry you missed out on the Bandai Museum...   8D

I highly recommend it though!  It's fun!  XD

Those shots of the Joysticks really do look awesome.  Man, I have to get back to Japan when this comes out in order to play this!

Ya'll really need to stop with the flattery. Really. It's too much.

But how can we stop with the flattery when your art is so awesome?  XD

19100
Oh, I agree.  There's nothing wrong with New & Awesome at all.

Oh but Ben, if only you could understand.  LoL, I was in Japan and I played the bestest best arcade version of VO:OT.  It was [tornado fang]ing heaven.  How I long to play that game again, or at least get a proper sequel.  Sega tickling the VO license recently isn't helping either!

Alas though, that's nothing against this game though.  I was excited when I first heard about it, and even though it's not VO, it still looks damn good, damn interesting, and damn sexy.  Who knows, it could even be better than VO.  Heh, of course, until either I go back to Japan and play this in the arcades over there, it gets released on a console, or heaven forbid we get this arcade game here, it's going to be a while before we find out.
