It simply makes me mad that so many of those great old movies from the 90s and earlier got so many shitty sequels in the last few years instead of leaving them be.
Actually, Pixar pretty much handles the story as well too. You can tell, because Pixar's storytelling is second to none for animated movie. Hell, for movies in general. Disney just owns the characters and distributes the movie with their magical Disney money. Also, keep in mind that unlike the majority of crappy 90's Disney sequels, this is not a Direct to DVD release. All those sequels of Aladdin, Little Mermaid, Lion King, etc., were never released in the theaters, due to...well their lack of quality. However, this is Pixar. They make NOTHING but quality, excellent, timeless movies, like UP which I saw last night, which is a contender for best movie of the year.
I saw this trailer last night in Disney Digital 3-D. The theater pretty much erupted in applause when it was shown. I do know a little of what it's about too, but not much.

I just got home from seeing Pixar's new movie UP. I mean, I go into pretty much everything Pixar movie expecting excellence, and I still come out blown away by their movies. UP was another masterpiece of a film from Pixar.

Ahhhh. Here is the mistake right here. Playing damage control with nerds is truly a fruitless act. All you can really do is try the game out. If you enjoy it, fantastic. If you hate it, ah well. But just because others hate it doesn't mean you should try to defend the game to the people that do.
Take Sonic Unleashed. I thought that game was pretty awesome. The Werehog mode, which I wasn't too fond of when I heard about it, grew on me....well except for the damn battle music cutting in to the fuckawesome night time songs. It's the same with Black Knight. I tried the game out, and actually had a pretty fun time playing it. Hell, look at what Jericho was talking about with the GAF people disliking MK64, when I consider it my 2nd favorite game of all time.
In regards to Virtual On, make a Fei-Yin themed car, and I'd be happy!

« on: May 29, 2009, 04:36:07 PM »In other cases, when we DO get main series titles, complaining this early when all we have are a CGI and a handful of gameplay photos is kind of stupid. It happened with Unleashed, but that turned out to be pretty good... moreso on the PS3 and 360. With Black Knight, the idea was novel but it was really poorly executed and a good chunk of the game wound up being just collecting items to try and get more stuff for weapons Sonic can't even really use.
To be honest, from what I've seen, until SEGA releases some kind of classic 2D, 2.5D Sonic game, Sonic fans are always going to [sonic slicer] about any game he's in, whether he has a sword, car, magic ring, baseball bat, tricycle, Order Emeralds, etc.!

So, just so I understand you correctly, it's okay to get the bile out of your system, [sonic slicer], AND moan about how regular Sonic titles, made by Sonic Team, aren't true Sonic before the game comes out (I'M THE KNIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIGHT OF THE WIND)...but 2nd party Sonic games deserve more of a chance?
