Honestly, I wish Ninty would do more along the lines of this game and MM. Both games proved you don't HAVE to have the Triforce and the other two holders of it involved in order to make for good games. Hell, it might be the kind of thing that's necessary, since it's getting so droll, now...

Just a quick question, since I haven't played as many Zelda games as most people in here, but technically, if you include all the handhelds, Adventures of Link & Majora's Mask, doesn't Nintendo have more Non-Triforce Zelda games than Triforce Zelda games?

Why can't they make quality movies based off of games? I am not sure of any specific reason of why or how they they can't come up with quality movies off games. I will take a stab in the dark and say that Hollywood doesn't games to seriously for the reason that they are games and that only children or nerds play games but I digress even if Mario Bros. or DOA isn't going win any Emmy Awards, it is still fun to watch and I can watch anytime.

As I said, it's because games do not have the type of storytelling that works for movies.  Hell some have NO storytelling at all, so they are left to create their own twisted version, which either works (Mortal Kombat) or doesn't work (Street Fighter: The Movie). Not to mention, that if the rare, RARE game that does have movie-type storytelling (like Metal Gear from what I hear) exists, what's the point in making it a movie?  It practically already is one, and one that you can play.  Why make a live-action version of a story you've already played?  I'm not saying they won't do this mind you, but there's little point.

You have to realize that game storytelling is, for the most part, not done well, and the fans probably care much more about it that the actual people writing the games.  There are exceptions to this, but for the most part, it holds true.  The Video Game movie market simply caters ONLY to us.  They know that most likely, we're going to see it, no matter what.  So why bother trying?  If they can put out [parasitic bomb], and it sells, then there's NO reason for them to try and make quality stuff.

If DBE, Speed Racer or this Prince or Persia is the best they can give us, I fear for the Death Note, Eva or Akira adaptations from Hollywood or any foreign movie Americanized by Hollywood.

 

Um, cept for PoP, that's anime.  Anime is also a different type of storytelling, and one that probably should never be attempted to be told by Hollywood.

On the other hand though, technically, the Raiden game, with its crazy "Lightning Bolt" genre name choice, has been rumored to be directed by Murata (who both wrote and directed ZOE2). It may not be ZOE proper in the least, and it's yet another MG game, but a new action by Murata is already something I'm looking forward to seeing for myself. Especially if it will involve Raiden just doing crazy actions that could do more to remind me of ZOE. That's something...right? 

Until I get around to playing the Metal Gear games, it's nothing! 

I mean, it doesn't bother me all that much as I really didn't expect it anyway, since ZOE really isn't that popular I think.  But still, 3 Metal Gear games after saying that after MGS4, he wants to take a break from the Metal Gear franchise and focus on something else?  Until I can see the fuckton of yen they put in his giant Kojimoney Bin, he's not forgiven!
 

Probe him for more information about these titles, especially, if you can! 

He hasn't gotten back to me on Bayonetta yet, but he says TMNT: Smash Up is [tornado fang]ing awesome, like Smash Bros. meets a fighting game, instant buy!

Quick update from the Ninja Lou at E3. 

-Played someone in TatsuCap who won 6 in a row.  Beat him.  QUEENZ REPRESENT!  This might possibly be on IGN.
-New Super Mario Bros Wii is awesome and Color Yoshi's are back
-Played Dragonball Ragin Blast on PS3.  It's good.  Looks better than Burst Limit.  Still Beta game
-Got beat by a Nintendo Rep in Wii Sports Resort Ping Pong. 
-Red Steel 2 is an absolute MUST BUY
