How can you [tornado fang] up something that simple like a movie about ROBOTS THAT TEAR EACH OTHER APART.
Yeah, that bothers me too. I mean, you have to know that your audience are going to be a lot of people who grew up with the cartoon, and in turn, mindless silly "Commando" style action flicks. We don't expect much, in terms of story, plot, or hell even character development. But seriously, at least make the poor plot make some kind of [tornado fang]ing sense.
And really, you've got the possibly awesome (I say possibly because we only see them for about 10 minutes) Autobots to use in Ironhide, Arcee,, Sideswipe, and instead decide to make the racist twins your main stars.

SubZero is right. I mean, I saw how badly this movie was getting panned, but I went to see for myself. I mean, I may tell you not to go see it, which I am mind you because the movie is garbage, but always base your opinion of something via your own viewing, not by just my detailed review of it.
Having said that, don't go see this movie. Go see Public Enemies, or Up, or something. Maybe rent it when it comes out.

As for racism, I can somewhat understand it to a point, because when you live in such a diverse place as NYC, you notice that certain "races" if you want to call them that, have certain quirks about them that you notice. However, racism will eventually die out because the older generation is dying, and the new internet generation is too lazy to be racist.
