You know, technically the best way to settle this Gyarados/Feraligatr debate is with a Pokemon Battle!  8)

Huh I never knew that I always picked the ones that had the best advantage in the journey such as Bulbasaur and Cyndaquil for Blue/Leaf Green and Crystal then experimented with Mudkip and Torchic Sapphire and found Torchic to be better then I just chose Piplup for Pearl cuz it was cute, I don't want to restart the game, and really those weren't my favorite starters.

I always start with Fire, in every Pokemon game.  I like fire!   8)

Cause I like Blastoise, but usually never pick him due to me always starting with Fire, no matter what.  However, I already have a LVL100 Charizard, and a pretty good one too, so I'm probably going to go with Blastoise.

Heh, I probably would've joined in, but I just got home myself.  Meanwhile, back to thinking up/writing more Characters/Stages for Bitchslap.

Heh, I'm kinda torn on everyone but Cyndaquil.  I already have a Sceptile at LVL100, but I kinda want a Blastoise more than a Swampert, despite Swampert's immunity to Electric.

Hmm now that we can get the 1st and 3rd generation starter pokemon, I wonder if I should choose Cyndaquil or Totodile for the first batch.

I think we both know the answer to that question, young one!

Gaming / Metal Sonic Confirmed for Bitchslap
« on: September 12, 2009, 01:10:44 AM »

Metal Sonic
I know a lot of people are thinking that Robuttnik should be in Bitchslap.  Well, that's all well and good, but for PB, his favorite Sonic badnik will always be Metal Sonic, and that's why he's getting an inclusion in the Bitchslap, courtesy of yours truly, Protoman Blues.  Metal Sonic will definitely not be a clone of Sonic....in the moveset sense anyway, as he has enough different powers to separate him from our Chili Dog eatin' hero.  Of course, when I get done with him, the word overpowered may be redefined!

Standard B: Black Shield
Metal Sonic generates a Force Field around himself to protect himself from thrown items and blasts.  Does little to no damage and knockback if hit up close with forcefield.  Items and blasts reflected back do the same damage as they normally would.
Up B: Electric Flight
Metal Sonic uses the jet engine on his back to fly.  While doing so, he generates an electric field around his body, which has 1/8 possibility of paralyzing enemies if they come in contact with it.
Forward B: Laser Cannon
Metal Sonic shoots a Laser Blast from the cannon in his chest, similar to Rob's.  Does decent damage with little knockback.
Down B: Scan
Metal Sonic fires a flashlight-like scanner beam from his eyes.  If an opponent is in that scanner beam, Metal Sonic copies the Standard, Up, and Forward B abilities of that opponent and replaces his own with them.  Metal Sonic can go back to his own B move abilities by pressing on of the taunt buttons.

Final Smash: Metal Overlord
Metal Sonic transforms into Metal Overlord and proceeds to rain terror down upon his foes.  Transformation is similar to Giga Bowser, in that Metal can still take damage, as well as the time it lasts.

Stardust Speedway Zone

Since I'm debuting Metal Sonic here, I thought I'd debut his stage as well.  This stage will randomly start out in either the past, present, good future, or bad future. Every 30 seconds or so, a spinning sign will pop up and either Past, Present, or Future will be written on it, showing where the stage is going to shift to 3 seconds after the sign stops spinning.  The present has a basic platform, with two rotating spring shooters hovering over the edges (similar to SSB64 DK Barrel, but stationary).  The past has two lower, smaller platforms on the left and right and one smaller platform in the middle.  Springs will randomly pop up on the platforms.  The good future are two long tracks which cross one another in the middle.  On the end of the tracks, treadmills will sometimes appear and send people flying across the track.  The bad future consists of a long track which has a dip in the middle that contains a spiked ball moving back and forth.  Also, Spikes will pop up on the track at times, but in the same place every time (can't be TOO random here).

Music
A Medley of Stardust Speedway Zone (JP) consisting of
Present,
Good Future,
& Bad Future
from Sonic CD
Spring Yard Zone - Sonic the Hedgehog

Chemical Plant Zone - Sonic the Hedgehog 2

A nice Remix combining
Death Egg Zone Act 1
&
Act 2
from Sonic 3 & Knuckles.
Run Through The Speed Highway - Sonic Adventure

Won't Stop, Just Go! (Green Forest) - Sonic Adventure 2

A combination of
What U Need (Sonic)
&
What U Need (Blazy)
from Sonic Rush, just like someone did with...
Sky Babylon Act 1 & 2 Mix - Sonic Rush Adventure

Blue On The Run - Sonic & The Secret Rings

Knight of the Wind - Sonic & The Black Knight

What I'm Made Of - Sonic Heroes

Rooftop Run - Sonic Unleashed

Am I the only one who made it a point to collect Zero's parts, or what?  Boss theme is fine, fanfare for trash-talking the final boss after pjwning your clone is better.

Regardless of whether or not you collect his parts, it still sounds more boss battle-ish.

Except its been stated multiple times on the issue of hotlinking. Why else do you think DZ has gotten to screaming his E-lungs out? cuz no matter how many times he mentions dont hotlink, people dont listen and it still happens.

LoL, do you know how many times we have to tell you children to not do stuff because someone missed a post, or didn't pay attention the first three times myself or one of the other mods mentioned it?  Look at what happened in the Ecchi thread.  The problem was solved there, just like it has been here.  Move on.

Also, since we have 3 Gatchaman characters, would it be too much to ask for one of them to have the US G-Force theme?   8)

while having almost no story outside the manual is the safest bet, i feel S3K did in game story right. the small cutscenes and transitions into new zones and acts really helped the presentation.

Exactly.  It's simple and not drawn out.

I just want a sonic without overcomplicated story....seriously why did they bother giving Sonic a story at all.....

I fully agree.

And I would have no problem with this if the newer games had concepts that were fully fleshed out and executed. It's also troubling that to me, not one of Sonic's 3D outings has nearly as much replay value as the 5 Genesis games (sans Secret Rings for some insane reason).

Actually, I have a lot of fun replaying Daytime Unleashed levels a lot, trying to A and S rank those.

In terms with the SNES Zero themes, the reason I like X3's the best is because it's sounds so much more heroic.  I mean, I love X2's Zero theme, but it's more boss battle-ish to me and not so much a theme.  X1's theme is classic, and I'd be perfectly happy with them using that theme for Zero as well, especially if it's Zero series Zero.  But X3's Zero theme will always be my favorite because it's the most heroic sounding one out of them all, in my opinion.

Rockman Series / Re: Unaired Ruby-Spears Megaman Episode?
« on: September 11, 2009, 08:47:11 AM »
I like zelda and I liked the cartoon, the whole SMBSS in fact, even the live action bits x3  I dunno, can't you think of the Ruby-Spears cartoon as it's own thing?  It's jus a goofy cartoon o.o

It can be argued that the rap intro to the Super Mario Bros. Super Show is among the greatest cartoon openings ever.

However, I agree with Cephi.  Yeah, Super Fighting Robot MegaMan is definitely not a true representation of the Classic series, or even that good in the grand scheme of things.  But I still think it's a lot of fun.  It's cheesy, it has a kick ass opening, the VA work is awesome (I mean, no one but Scott McNeil should ever EVER be allowed to voice Dr. Wily), and it's just goofy like Cephi said.  I mean, I'm a hardcore Blues fan and I still enjoy the show even though Blues is evil and has no Shield!  XD

Most fans of Batman turn away in disgust from the 1960's series

I'm going to have to disagree with you there.  The huge majority of Batman fans I know are huge, HUGE fans of the Adam West Batman series, myself included.  Campy as it may be, that series is a damn near perfect representation of what the comic was like back in the 60's, and it's enjoyable to look back upon.  That series is still currently the most wanted TV series on DVD that has not come out yet.
