Personally, being that since the MM Universe is completely different from ours, due to the super fighting robots and what not, there's a chance that  I, Robot was never written, and that Dr. Light is the leading authority on the laws of robotics, as well as the pie eating champion of monsteropolis!

They dont have them inertly programmed in, the same way that humans do not have morals inertly implanted into their brains at birth. It is the way that just as a human can disregard the morals of modern society and kill someone, a robot can disregard the rules, and kill a human.

.....By this statement, are you trying to say that Asimov's laws aren't programmed in, but rather are the definition for a robot's moral code?

Technically, he only mentions the 1st Law of Robotics, in the X intro.  Who's to say whether he is programmed the 2nd or 3rd law into him.  I mean, keep in mind that Light is a douche.

Dr. Light follows his own rules!

#1. Clean up after my mess.
#2. Help me around the lab.
#3. Defeat evil.

You know, after reading the majority of this, I still hold to my thoughts that there is little difference between Rock & X.

Mushihimesama Futari (Arcade / 360)

Holy crap, these are awesome.  It sounds somewhat similar to the MM: Network Transmission soundtrack.  Either way, these are very good.  Thanx Vixy.

I'm discouraged.

Whenever I want to write, I tend to look at professional works - anime, books, songs, moves, etc. - for inspiration. However, this tends to have a painful side-effect; it feeds the demonic voice in my head that keeps telling me my ideas are no good. When I look at a good anime or movie, I am often impressed by the visuals and how they, without words or speech, can capture the viewers' imaginations. Then, when I go to write, I am left wondering if mere words can compare. As the old saying goes, "a picture is worth a thousand words". Do I have to write a thousand-word essay just to give the impression of a powerful figure, a splendid character?

And, of course, there is also the feeling that my ideas pale in comparison. When I want to write sci-fi, for example, I sometimes look to Gurren Lagann for inspiration. Now, this is highly subjective, but it would be difficult to say that Gurren Lagann is not an impresive visual feast, and it tells a good story to boot. It makes me wonder how my ideas can possibly compare to this animated masterclass. I'm also quite wary of drawing inspiration, sometimes, because what is inspiration to me might be seen as plagiarism to someone else.

Maybe I'm just discouraging myself here.

I need advice.

Write or draw because you want to.  Do not compare it to anything that anyone else has done.  Do your best not to plagiarize.

Most regular villains do your basic crime.  Stealing, robbery, maybe a hostage situation or something like that.  Super villains are the powerful, the anarchists, the ego-maniacal.

I think that it doesn't matter if you aren't the best. If you do something -right-, that you do it out of good will rather than because you feel you have an obligation, then you can make a difference.

You don't have to be the best.  You just have to think you are!  XD

For that matter, does the Joker count as a super-villain, given that he doesn't want to conquer the world, doesn't have any giant robots or death rays and usually works by himself?

The Joker is the most DANGEROUS kind of Super-Villain.  He's a psychotic genius & an anarchist.  He doesn't want to conquer the world, he wants to watch it burn and laugh while it does.

No it does not.

All it does is create a bunch of turdblossoms who believe it their right to crush anyone in their way so that everything goes in their favor. They feel justified of that just because they exist.

And that's terrible.

That's more Bullying than anything.

Egotistical Assholism is the belief that YOU'RE THE BEST....ARROOOOOOUNNDDD.  AND NO ONE'S EVER GONNA TAKE YOU DOWN!  XD

Well, what did he do? XD

If I had met you before high school I'd probably would've hated you a lot. I seriously couldn't take anything back then.

The question is, what DIDN'T he do?

And what's funny is, I'm actually not the worst of my friends, in terms of insults & not caring about other's feelings.  No, that honor goes to my friend JoshMack, who is the most morally inept person I've ever met.
