Screw Sniktbub. Guy's gotten lame. His offspring are far more interesting than he is. Trollverine alone (Daken) has had an excellent run, far better than his daddy has had in years. And X-23 is pure awesome. I'd even be okay with them being alternate skins.

Heh, I'm not the biggest Wolvie fan anyway.  At least Daken wears what I consider the proper Wolvie uniform.

First of all, thank you for giving reason to where it's due. Second, I'll type out a decent response, just give me a few hours. I don't do hangovers as well as I used to.

SO THEN I SHOULDN'T TYPE IN CAPSLOCK LIKE THIS, SHOULD I?   8D

Still need to get Batman & Son in a non-issue way myself. I have this OCD-like obcession on having all arcs in paperbacks. Helps me know the story by bookshelf-looking.

Well, in all honesty, it's technically better to have comics in Graphic Novel form today because of the way they are written nowadays.

Hmm. actually, If I may- we should try to set up a Post-movie Interview with him, to kind of follow up and close the deal, to go along with the pre- movie interview.

I was going to, but since he's been busy the past 2 years now, I figured he's earned somewhat of a rest.  But I already have some interesting points of interest that Eddie & I talked about today when I met with him at the screener in the city.

I will write up a review for this tomorrow after I wake up.

Another thing came to mind... the Wii Vitality Sensor. Man, what a wacky experiment that is. I don't think there's any real target demographic for it, just some hypothetical group that might exist somewhere. Maybe. I'd love to see what people manage to do with it, but I'm willing to bet lots of companies won't even bother with it, much like what they do for other peripherals.

I still don't really know what purpose it even serves.  Like I said in that long E3 post, it was the 2nd worst thing shown at E3 in terms of just marketing alone.  The worst was obviously the PSP Go!

I think it's safe to presume he meant the first 3 Vs. games, which did have something close to a storyline, even if it was the same rather nonsensical stuff that permeates most Capcom fighters.

Still, it did have rather interesting things happen, such as having Nash being turned into "Shadow" and such.

LoL, if you say so Ben!

Also, there's still a chance that Playable Blues can get in on this game.  He's been much more Playable lately, so it's definitely possible!  XD

Okay, being that I was actually enjoying my debate (Yes, not argument, DEBATE) with the Fastest Man Alive here, I'm actually unlocking this topic, as I found most of the posts in here interesting and such.  So, sorry Jericho, but I'm willing to keep going with this, as soon as I take care of one small issue...

Imma finding Kyouya so I can slap him for inviting you.. :P

At this point, you're arguing from a corner, and just repeating yourself. Which means all we can do is repeat ourselves. Just stop; you've lost, be gracious and accept it.

First of all, he was not repeating himself, but actually countering points and issues I brought up.  Second of all, this isn't about either of us trying to win anything because it's a [tornado fang]ing internet debate about video games.  Third, and finally, interrupt my or anyone else's debate again in the future with petty, nonsensical, and almost brown nosing BS again and punishment will be dealt.

I trust I've made myself clear on the issue.

Now, back to the debate...

The Wii Sports games really offer a new experience, but they both seem more like tech demos to show what the console can do than something you can lose hours in. And as for Mario, platforming isn't really the kind of game type to necessitate co-op, thus the constant mess the game offers of everyone throwing each other down cliffs and into lava. Co-op games should require other players to proceed in the action rather than them be a hinderance. Little Big Planet did this well. New Super Mario Bros Wii just rehashes most things the old Mario titles offered, without bringing anything new to the table. I don't feel like I'm playing anything I haven't played time and time again. The old games felt unique and like something wonderful. New Mario Bros Wii just feels samey.

I guess that's all in the eye of the beholder, per se.  I actually wasted plenty of hours with both Wii Sports & Wii Sports Resort.  Like I said earlier, I find Archery very relaxing in Resort. As for NSMBWii, the hindrance aspect of the game was what I found the most fun aspect of it. From what I can see, the game is pretty simple when you play 1 player. I wouldn't know since I never played the game one player. However, when you have 3-4 people playing at the same time, that's where the "new experience" and uniqueness come into play, at least for me. It's-a the chaotic aspect of having your friends hinder you that makes the game such a blast, in my opinion, to the point that you wanna jump on their head and force them down a pit or into lava. I'm not saying that the mechanics and such are anything we haven't seen before, but it's the co-op chaos which makes the game a truly unique experience for me, especially as a long time Mario fan. Honestly, the only thing I wish the game had was online play, so that I could've played the game with people here, or some of my other online friends.

Why the HELL do I want more sequels? I have Power Stone 1 and 2 for both the Dreamcast AND the PSP. I want to see Capcom try new things! Dead Rising, Dark Void, THOSE games took chances. One was awesome, the other was mediocre. But they TRIED SOMETHING NEW. And I applaud them for that. Platinum Games tries new things, and every single thing they put out is awesome incarnate. They tried new things back when they were Clover and Capcom put them out of the team. But Nintendo is swimming in rivers of money, and they don't take ONE. SINGLE. RISK. A tiny little innovation, ANYTHING. Nothing. Absolutely nothing. I like sequels alot when they try something new, but Nintendo is just throwing revivals and rehashes at us. I don't like it.

Sequels that try something new are definitely great, but sometimes not breaking the formula can work well too, especially in a business sense.  I mean, the Guitar Hero/Rock Band games try something somewhat new, it worked, and now they simply rehash the games over and over again because people keep buying them.  You can't really fault the companies for cashing in on their successes, just like Nintendo is doing right now.  The Wii itself was a innovation, a risk, and a gamble, and it paid off for them. Wii Sports, Wii Fit were also gambles for them as well, and again they paid off.  You're right in that Nintendo is most likely swimming in money right now, and they probably want to continue their dip in the money bin, so they are going to milk this for a while.  Dead Rising might be the next series to be milked as well.

In another sense, sequels that improve upon a somewhat proven formula are also great as well.  ZOE2 is probably my best example of that.  I really liked ZOE1, but it had its flaws, whereas ZOE2 essentially fixed every problem I had with the 1st game and improved upon it.  Power Stone 2 is probably another example of improving upon a certain formula, which is why I would love a Power Stone 3 to improve upon the Power Stone formula I already love and fix some of the flaws that the game had, as well as give Wang Tang back his Super Spirit Bomb.

Getting back to the point though, if Nintendo is not trying anything new, then what would you define Metroid: Other M as?  I haven't played the game yet, but from the vids I've seen, Ninty & Team Ninja are taking the series in a new direction in terms of what seems like more background story/info into Samus herself, with much more voice acting and possible plot development, etc.  Also, the gameplay quickly switching from 2D/2.5D to 3D FPS like that seems pretty new to me, in the sense that I can't recall another game doing it ever.  I'm no gaming expert, but I could be wrong.  To me though, this seems like a risk because they could probably make more money just putting together a new NSMBWii or another proven $20 Million seller.

Also, for that matter, what about the Wii Vitality Sensor?  Sure, it can be a gimmick for who knows what, seeing as how at E3 Nintendo gave us nothing to work with regarding it (terrible marketing IMO).  But who knows what they have planned for it.

I'm still not entirely sure whether that means that Wily was faking the whole "the robots stole my machine!" thing or if his plans went terribly wrong for him right after this point. But between this track and the manga I'm thinking it was probably all a lie for Wily to gain access to Right's lab once again and make sure that Right didn't have a cure in the works and that Rockman would exhaust himself and become infected and helpless before Wily announces his takeover scheme to the world.

Yeah, I was kinda curious about that myself.

Well, on the positive side of MvC3 having TatsuCap controls, I now have much much more of a chance in the game!  Yay!   8D

Also, MvC2 had a story besides just wanting to take me for a ride?

X-23, Daken and Hulkpool would be pretty sweet.

X-23 AND Daken? Don't we have enough Wolvsturbation in the Marvel U already, without bringing it to MvC3? XD

I'd much rather have Nightcrawler or DA FALCON!  8D

Yeah, someone I use to work with read 2 1/2 of the Twilight series.  He stopped half way in the 3rd book cause he couldn't stomach anymore.  He told me everything that went on from what he read, and as he described it to me I kinda wanted to punch him in the face to make him stop.

Read all of Grant Morrison's arcs, starting with Batman & Son, going through The Black Glove and RIP, Final Crisis, then Batman & Robin. Best way to know the plot.

Yeah I have them all.  Heh, I'll probably read through them all again one day when organizing comics.

Not insanely new experiences, the way Nintendo showed they could be on the new consoles, but we get AAA titles coming out all the time. And new franchises. The point of the Wii was that it didn't have as many buttons or analog sticks as the other consoles, so the gameplay would have to change to make way for new games and new experiences. Developers just ended up making typical games for it and added waggle.

I guess it really depends on the type of game.  I mean, if you take Wii Sports & Wii Sports Resort, for instance, it does offer a "new experience" in terms of gaming and such.  My personal favorite is Archery, as I could just relax with that for hours.  In another thread somewhere, I made a post on what I'd like to see offered up for a new Kid Icarus game-icus, using the Mote-Chuk system.  But I'm not a game developer, so I don't know if it's feasible or not. Also, for me New Super Mario Bros Wii was a truly new experience, because it was the first time that I've ever played a true Co-op Mario game with friends, and out of all the great games that came out last year, that was my favorite. I got to throw my friends into lava and poison lakes. It was such a blast.

Although I'm gonna call absolute bullshit on the "not making their money back". Nintendo is SWIMMING in money. If they've got few teams and employees, then HIRE MORE. If they've got few resources, EXPAND. It's what Capcom and Square-Enix did. Every company has to expand if the want to maintain their position on a certain market. Nintendo needs to spread their tentacles on every direction and grab ahold of everything they can. They can't just sit in a comfortable position for ages and expect to be like that forever. Their overall salves went down 20% this year. I'm betting they wouldn't if they had taken more chances, spent more money on meaninful choices. If Nintendo had the money to blow back in the Gamecube days, they sure as hell have it now. The DS is prospering, it's time they pay attention to their home console.

As for this, Nintendo is indeed swimming in money, but the difference between Nintendo and Microsoft & Sony is that Nintendo's sole focus is in the gaming industry, while for Microsoft & Sony, this is but one division.  It's the reason we see DS after DS, because that's where the money is made.  People talk about the Wii faltering and such, being a fad, etc., and what I think a lot of them don't understand is that when sales for the Wii actually do start to take a significant drop, they'll simply make a new system.  With meaningful choices, for them Wii Fit & the new Wii Party coming out are the meaningful choices, cause judging by sales the 20 millions copies sold of each of those types of games (excluding Wii Music I believe), that's where they make their most money from.  At PAX EAST, I had a chance to talk with Seth Killian about Power Stone 3. He told me that Capcom has talked about making it, but they're a business and they have to weigh there options. Despite how much I, he, and other Power Stone fans would love a new Power Stone game, they know that a new Street Fighter, Devil May Cry, or other more popular franchise would easily guarantee them more money in the long run, so they sit and sit on Power Stone. It's probably the same reason why I could never see a ZOE3 made, because Konami knows that a MGS game is going to sell tons more.  So this is also what goes on at Nintendo as well, and despite swimming in money, they still have to weigh their options carefully and since I'm just a Nintendo fan and I don't sit in on their business meetings, I'm not one to judge.

Also, s-kill is a huge Power Stone fan!  XD
