I read about the Flash and all that. It all starts to sound like a supernatural soap. But honestly, for me to ever potentially get into it, I'd have to start from the beginning. And honestly, no time to hunt down over 9000 comics about a douchebag that runs fast.

No offense. I just have more pressing things to do.

Actually, not really.  Usually when DC comes out with new comics, retcons, etc., they tend to have a whole Secret Files and Origins type comic or 6. Both GL & Supes has had one, and I fully expect one coming for the Flash soon as well.

LoL, and most animes are supernatural soaps.

I do agree that the movie itself, on 2D, looked absolutely amazing, although the story was bullshit. But the 3D effects really were derivative.

On IMAX, the effects were really incredible.

Which is also the greatest flaw of the movie, even more than it's overdone story.  It will never look that good again.

No IMAX available over here. But my problem is with the stereoscopic 3D itself. They won't manage to produce an actual 3D image, simply one that pops up in 2D on a different plane.

Fair enough. What I will say is that on the IMAX screen, the true IMAX screen and not the BS they peddle off as IMAX in some theaters, Avatar really did look incredible.

What people fail to realize is that there's a difference between movies like Avatar in 3D and everything else.  Avatar was specifically filmed to look the way it did, and it was meant to be seen on an true IMAX screen, and it looked incredible.  However, with other movies, it just doesn't look that good and it's just a gimmick to make people shell out $4-$5 extra bucks for the 3D experience.

LoL, because I will enjoy the real thing even more knowing it's not that crap.  It's like watching the original animated Transformers movie after watching Transformers 2.

Noooooo nononononononono. Watch the cartoon first. Trust me. If not, this is not just gonna spoil you of some of the best moments in it, but you don't really want to ruin the experience of what is pretty much the best damn continuity-driven cartoon ever.

Spoilers and stuff don't bother me, nor hamper my experience.

Dude, this is MUCH worse than Transformers 2. Transformers 2 might have been bad, but it's the kind of movie you go watch, talk with friends and enjoy the cool big robot fights and explosions. It's a brainless movie. This? THIS? This is a failure to even be a movie. It's like the Big Rigs of movies. Every single actor acts like he or she is reading from a script directly in front of their eyes, Events jump from one part to the next. Everything's changed for the worst. Roku's a dragon now. The sceneries look like they came from this old japanese crappy movie set. Appa and Momo appear, but aren't really explained, or have any chance to interact with anything. It's one of the worst movies I've ever seen. Honestly, I think Dungeons and Dragons The Movie was better than this.

We shall see, cause I hate Transformers 2 on a whole other level than most movies.  However, from what you and everyone else is saying, this might beat it.  I was going to watch the cartoon first, but perhaps I'll save it for after, in order to wash my mouth of the awful taste it leaves.
