Wow, shame on me. I just noticed that Spidey IS voiced by Josh Keaton, his Spectacular Spider-Man VA. He just does him a bit older, but that's definitely him.

This makes me all kinds of happy. He's probably tied for my favorite Spidey VA with NPH, if not my favorite.

See, I've always disagreed with the sentiment that a fanbase can ruin a certain product, whether it be a game, movie, or other form of entertainment. If you enjoy something or don't, and have a certain opinion on it, that's all the really matters. I agree, TTGL is an overrated anime, so is Haruhi as well. But I still think both are actually quality animes. LoL, hell I also think that FLCL is absolute [parasitic bomb], but it has such a huge fanbase that loves it. Essentially, to each their own, I always say.

In terms of Sci-Fi, he's famous for Forbidden Planet, a very classic sci-fi movie. However, he's more famous for his comedic roles from being the doctor in Airplane to being Lt. Frank Drebin in the Naked Gun movies!

As for Irvin Kershner, it's more understandable, as a lot of people who don't know all that much about Star Wars primarily thinks of George Lucas as the director.

What's so interesting about that specific scene is that in a talk with Harrison Ford recently, Ford said how both he & Kershner had to fight Lucas to actually include that dialog in the movie, cause Lucas didn't think it was romantic. This, THIS is why The Empire Strikes Back is the best one among the 3 (not even counting the prequels), because Lucas didn't direct it.

He also worked on SeaQuest as well, a show I enjoyed very much. He will DEFINITELY be missed.

Today, Leslie Nielsen of Airplane & Naked Gun comedic fame passed away. This one kinda hit me hard, as I have sooooooooooo many fond, fond memories of this man making me laugh. Not only that, but he was also awesome in Forbidden Planet, The Posideon Adventure, and countless other roles. Thank you for all the fantastic laughs, Mr. Nielsen. May you R.I.P.

The spikes on the drill are a reference to the Servbot Borer's "Hyper Drill" in The Misadventures Of Tron Bonne (no, PB, that's not a sub-Ether engine).

I thought it was because they both know Kung Fu.  I've seen the Karate Kid.

Not just Kung Fu, but the best Kung Fu.
