I used the hell out of missiles in Prime 2, if only because ammo for the beams was a pain in the ass.

I think that's what Hypershell was referring to, Sato.  Super Metroid's sprite laziness being developer negligence, I mean.

Model F actually CAN shoot up, Superbat.

It's just stupid that they make doing so a special ability.

I believe he's referring to the fact that Super Metroid (unlike, say, Zero Mission) only differentiates the change in armor appearance for screen-facing sprites, so the Power Suit appears to have rounded shoulders in profile view even though it clearly does not when forward-facing or in the status screen.  I consider that developer negligence, not design.

That is what I was referring to, yes.  Also, the lights on the chestplate in Other M actually are the Power Suit design--it's just on both sides instead of on the right.

As for developer negligence, yes, that's exactly what it is.  However, that doesn't necessarily mean that Team Ninja didn't base their Samus model on the SM Power Suit profile view sprites.

I've said it before and I'll say it again.  That's not the Varia Suit in the Other M videos.  It's the Power Suit.  Compare it to the Super Metroid sprites of the Power Suit.  They're practically identical.

Well, we knew that it's being made, and that it's a Megaman game.

Now, we know that it's being made, and it might be a Megaman game.  Maybe.  Megaman might just be in it.

Yes, we actually know less about it now than we did before this announcement.

Curb your enthusiasm.  As far as being informative goes, on a scale of one to ten, this announcement scores a negative six.  There is absolutely no information here that we didn't already know.

And that "trailer" has about as much to do with the game as Megaman 2's box art does its respective software.  They are tangentially related at best.

So this is Capcom's big announcement, huh?  Good, now we know absolutely nothing that we didn't already know!  I.E., "it's a Megaman game."

Really?  Give us some [tornado fang]ing details.

Definitely a question of the ingredients available in the area.  Hell, even the water being used probably makes a difference in flavor.

Also, despite how I don't like Pizza Hut or Dominoes, I'd take those in a heartbeat before Little Caesars.

Maybe I've just had better luck with LC restaurants, but I actually prefer them over Pizza Hut.

Back in the 80s and early 90s, we actually had stuff around here.  A LC, a Godfather's, a couple of local places... I miss the 80s.

Man, this topic and all your responses just makes PB sad.  I mean, I know that Pizza Hut, Dominoes, and Papa Johns are probably the only options that people have out there, but still, that's just sad.

Yeah PB, you live in New York.  I live in a little podunk craphole in Wyoming that's lucky to have a McDonald's.  There aren't even any local pizza places around here.  The only thing we had was a Pizza Hut and a Domino's for -years.-

Homemade pizza is great, but I rarely have the time to spend making it.

I'd say my two favorite pizza places currently are Papa Murphy's and Little Caesar's.  Sadly the LC here has been closed for years, but Papa Murphy's just came back after being absent for a while.

Pizza Hut's alright, though I liked their crust better before they started using frozen dough discs for everything (I worked there during that transition, to boot).  Domino's has gone from barely edible to decent since they changed their recipe, but the garlic flavoring in the crust is just the shake-on powder they use on their breadsticks (I've worked there too, so I know that stuff when I see it), so they lose points for being cheapos.

I think my favorite pizza place of all time is a place called Sicily's that I used to order from when I lived in north California.  That [parasitic bomb] was incredible.

No, it's a badly drawn V-shaped belt.

Man, I wish I could make a Zelda game.

Steampunk world. Middle-aged war veteran Link. Living in his farm, with his wife and kids. Happy.

GANON COMES. FUCKS THE WORLD OVER. KIDNAPS WIFE AND KIDS BECAUSE HIS CHILD IS THE NEXT ZELDA

Link PUTS ON THE FABLED HERO'S UNIFORM. SNAGS THAT MASTER SWORD. Then goes on a quest all over the world to find Ganon.

I'd play it.

Are you sure that you're not confusing 64 with Assault? Because that's the one with the orchestral soundtrack (which I was not that much a fan of).

SF64's soundtrack was also orchestral-sounding.  Just... synthesized.

Because both temples look so much alike, amirite? 8D

The dungeon entrance IS the Temple of Time from Ocarina.  Putting the Master Sword in the pedestal opens up the rest of the place.

And it makes sense that the Temple of Time was a dungeon like the rest of the temples in Ocarina, just one that OoT Link never got to explore beyond the first room.

Just different styles really.  SF had kind of a techno-ish soundtrack.  SF64's was orchestral.  I can't really say I prefer one over the other considering the fact they might as well be entirely different games.

You mean that's not obvious just from looking at it?  I mean, you travel back in time to the Temple of Time from OoT for Christ's sake.

The art style looks okay to me.  Maybe a little too bright, but eh.  I never had a problem with the cel-shading in Wind Waker, but rather the character designs.

Also, it ends on a cliffhanger.  Which is why everyone clamors for a Legends 3.

Well, if you say so PB.  There seems to be slight but extremely noticeable lag between the remote's motions and Link's, which is more of a concern for me, but hopefully they get that ironed out too...

I seriously hope that the controls are a little more intuitive than that video seems to convey.

So all that Patriots bullshit is still in full force then, huh?

Good, I have even less reason to care about the game now.
