While I don't exactly disagree and think that they overdid it a little with the health nerf, I do think that he did have a little too much health. Yeah, he's a giant robot so he should have more health than most, but not THAT much. Then add the fact that he pretty much gets the best boost from XFactor overall (WHY did anyone think that giving him one of the biggest boosts in damage ON TOP of all the damage he already did was a good idea?). [tornado fang] Sentinel.

Yeah, I can and have dealt with it, not to mention that I AM aware of his actual flaws so no need to tell me about them, but that doesn't change that I think they overdid it with him originally.

Holy [parasitic bomb], tape does solve everything!

Sym-Bionic Titan was just cancelled.

;_________;

I've never gotten the chance to watch it but I still find that depressing ;___;

The best part about that? You can also find pokemon that need evolution stones to evolve in the wild, saving you from spending one just to fill the dex.

Also, I'll be honest, if you're having trouble handling anything in the postgame other than maybe Kyurem because I haven't fought him yet and the actually strong trainers (E4 rematch/Cynthia more specifically), your team sucks, period. It's one thing if they're all weary from continuous battle, but if they're all full health? You really shouldn't be having any problem.

Anyways, extremely random question, am I the only one shipping the MC/Black with that girl you ride the Ferris Wheel with? >.> Seriously, I dunno why but the  "Just...just until we start to descend...Please...stay..." while she was crying combined with the music got me for some reason.

...I demand fanart of that pairing >.>

After pretty much a week of searching for someone 1st Lord or above in ranked that ended in failure, today I found and lost badly to the guy that's #14 in the leaderboards first match I found. Wow, I'd say that was pretty lucky if it wasn't because of the whole "it took a week" part.

I'm up for some matches btw.

I don't think a fighter would work well. Not open enough the general audiences in terms of gameplay, and Nintendo likes to simplify thinks until they hurt.

The general audiences bought millions of SF4 and MvC3 anyways, not to mention the latter and its predecessor already have an extremely simplified mode in them already so I don't see why that's important.

My fellow RPM members! I've returned after being absent for 3 years! How is everyone?

3 years? Must've been right before I joined then. Well, welcome back to the crazy then.

Hahahahaha, holy [parasitic bomb]. There's an R4 for the 3DS out already.

So getting this.

As long as it doesn't actually end up replacing actual games in the stores I used to go for cheaper games like the original R4 did I don't really mind it or care much for its existence right now.

Currently I've beaten the Elite Four and am working on grinding my team and trying to complete the Unova Dex.  After the game there is an immense power creep and you really can't touch any new trainers as they'll grind you to dust immediately.

Not really. Sure, they're 60 somethings vs your 40-50 somethings, but they're still only stage 1 60 somethings so they die to everything that is SE.

So would Kirby, but he has to be there. Unless they pull out a Megaman in MvC3 and put Dedede instead of him that is >__>

I must say, I'm really enjoying this thus far. Especially the battle music. It's really good.

Yeah, it's probably the best OST of the series if you ask me. It just annoys me that to hear some songs in all their glory you have to go out of your way to search for specific NPCs that will start playing an instrument/sing after that.

Still, man, the music for the fight with the legendary pokemon is amazing, and I just love the theme in N's final battle (which showed me a really kick ass fanart of the moment when listening to it on Youtube, so extra points to it).

Or just save that "feature" for one or two items, like, I dunno, the Bullet Bill or something specifically designed for that. Stealing items by crashing into someone at max speed with a mushroom though? That has to stay.

I approve and sincerely hope with all of my soul that a Nintendo VS Capcom happens.

Other than that, as I mentioned in the Mario Kart thread, I REALLY want a Smash Bros Kart now. Mario Kart characters in the usual karts/cars/no bikes, F-Zero chars in their usual futuristic cars, Fire Emblem chars in horses/pegasi/wyverns, etc. With guest appearances of Solid Snake in a metal gear and Sonic the Hedgehog by himself of course 8D

I dunno. I think a Nintendo RPG would probably make the most money.

Don't care, I need my Nintendo VS Capcom game D:

Yeah, Rainbow Road 64 is the best one. What really needs to return in the next Rainbow Road is the character constellations. Seriously, they were such a great touch.

Also, PB's comment makes me want a Super Smash Bros Kart :(

My personal favorite track from MK64 is probably Toad's Turnpike.

God how I hate that stage. Nothing against it, I'm just returning the hate it has against me >_>

So, in short, what Nintendo needs to do to make Mario Kart totally awesome again is

-Better item balancing
-Get rid of cloud AIDS
-Some better track designs
-Get rid of cloud AIDS
-Bring back the good old battle mode (DD's/DS's balloon stealing mechanic should stay though, hell, IMO just bring back DS's battle mode along with the classic maps from 64 etc.)
-Get rid of cloud AIDS

Also, I still say we need more tracks like 64's Yoshi's Valley but ones that have more than one actual viable road (was there more than one in Yoshi's Valley? Because I definitely can't think of more than one).

Also, fix the goddamn lightning. If you can't run the tiny people over after shrinking them, then there's no point.

This so [tornado fang]ing much. I can't even find a way to describe my sadness when I found out that they took that out.

Well, the endgame is pretty awesome if you ask me. Also, I'll be honest, making TMs infinitely reusable made this game SO much better just because I could actually experiment with them now instead of saving them all for god knows when and never using them. Also, only one required use of HMs for the story/to reach any of the towns was great.

There's a patch out today supposedly, I'm not home yet to check.

They nerfed Sentinel. Yeah they did other stuff like removing Akuma's infinite (dunno if they left Cap's in), but who cares, they nerfed Sentinel's health and that's all I honestly care about :D

Sure, I could deal with Sent before (except laggy ones, [tornado fang] them), but that doesn't mean even the scrubby ones weren't a big pain in the ass to fight.

The hardest part about this game for myself currently is realizing that I really need to keep on top of a lot of things in order to get the most out of the game. The stuff regarding events that I unfortunately missed by not getting SoulSilver earlier is coming back to haunt me. I wants a Zoroark. :(

If you have any GenIV game
http://gts1.ceolbox.net/pkm

The end of your event pokemon problems.

On another note, anyone else completely curbstomp all of the trainers through the main story only to get stopped up by Ghetis and not even his team really, but just his insane fast Hydregion? Also, anyone else having a hard time finding places to build level until you can handle all the trainers and wild Pokes in the eastern parts of the map? I feel like every other thing hands my ever changing team their asses badly. XD

Funny thing, it was the E4 which curbstomped me. Repeatedly. Then when I got to N he did give me a good fight (mostly my fault for doing random [parasitic bomb] with Reshiram allowing Zekrom to kill it though), then I curbstomped (well, kinda, still lost like 2 or 3 pokemon) Ghetsis and his Hydregion (thank you, Dragon Dance Haxorus XD).

May I just say that this is my favorite gen ever so far? So creative. Only real negative I have for the games are that fire types that aren't glass cannons or ugly (looking at you Darumaka line) are pretty much nil. Countering that though is Volcarona.

Yeah, I'd have to agree with that. Honestly, I LOVE the endgame, that was so freaking awesome and had I not been spoiled about it it would've came out of nowhere and been even better.

Also, N > most rivals. Seriously
(click to show/hide)

Also, still looking for that Celebi and also someone that can help me trade evolve some guys.

Posted on: March 21, 2011, 22:44:44
Well, forget the Celebi, got it already with that GTS website thing I posted a while back. Getting all other event legends while I'm at it >.>

Still need a trading partner though.

I don't really feel like going to 4ch myself though.

Anyways, I'll quote what I'm talking about. This is about Steel Ball Run's scanlation (which has been literally years behind) and the new joint project between the usual scanlators (Jojo Project) and another scanlation group (Red Hawk) to do weekly releases until they catch up. You'd think they'd be happy about the scanlation of a series they love get a major boost in speed, right? ...Right?

Quote
Almost everyone was bitching about how Red Hawk is coming in to take over the series and messing up the translation and ruining the typesetting just because we want more attention. Not one single person seemed happy. Half of them didn't seem to notice it was a joint, and the other half didn't seem to know that the only thing we did was clean. We had nothing to do with any of the things they were blaming us for.

Then when the JJP people tried to set them straight, they accused them of secretly being Red Hawk agents doing damage control. We don't even post on 4chan, ever.

Next week is make or break. If we get a similar response, we're out. Shizuka says that JJP will probably quit as well if that happens. It's really not worth it.

I really hate 4ch so much right now (more specifically /a/). I swear, if their bitching ruins this I'm gonna...I'm gonna...well I can't do anything myself but I'll keep wishing every day that a [tornado fang]ing meteor falls on top of those retards or something >=(

I remember loving it when it came out and having a lot of fun doing shortcuts on Ribbon Road. Getting start ranks was a [tornado fang]ing pain in the ass IIRC though, but maybe that was just me.
