I recently discovered that Guren Lagan has a spin-off manga, Tengen Toppa Guren Lagan Guren Gakuen Hen. I found the first chapter hilarious, it also showed me that who needs doors when you break windows instead

Ok, now that I finally completely read it and because I need to distract myself from doing my homework, here's my opinion

1. A Great Cast with a Dud Script
-I agree that you don't need celebrities to have a good story, however, I also think that you don't need a good story at all unless you're an RPG/point and click adventure/MGS game.

2. Unreal Engine Overdose
-Can't say anything about this.

3. Sequelitis
-I agree and disagree. I agree mostly because of Activision and Guitar Hero, and disagree because of all the sequels to games I like.

4. Too Human Syndrome
-Agreed.

5. Wii Production "Values"
-Best selling console gets tons of shovelware. In other news, the sky is blue. More news at 11.
Also, the seal of quality has never meant anything other that the game works.

6. Sonic and Mario Visit the Rainbow Dentist (WTF?)
-I wouldn't call one main game each console generation as overused, and Sonic isn't that overused. Also, does he seriously expect a game where only one or two characters will ever win? There is a good reason for Sonic having his speed nerfed.

7. Motion "Control"
-Agreed that either it works or it doesn't, but really disagree with having Mario Kart Wii as an example.

8. Promises, Promises, Promises
-Agreed.

9. STRONG FEMALE LEAD CHARACTER = EDGY, CLEVER AND DESIRABLE

Lara Croft still kicks around, as does Samus. But alongside those two comes Alyx Vance (Half-Life 2), Joanna Dark (Perfect Dark), Rayne (BloodRayne), The Boss (MGS), Zoe and April (Dreamfall: The Longest Journey), Jill, Claire and Ada (Resident Evil series), Elika (Prince of Persia) and the list goes on. It's not clever anymore; it's not special. It's become a bad cliché that is as predictable as it is ultimately degrading. Let's stop pretending that's it's still a unique feature.

It is this single paragraph that makes this fail so much. Seriously, a strong female character that can defend herself and avoid being just another damsel in distress is just a cliche now? Seriously?! Also, WTF at his examples?! The Boss?THE BOSS?! Seriously?! Did he somehow miss EVA? And what about Ivy and Taki from Soul Calibur, or the whole female roster of the Dead or Alive series? Some one explain me how he could miss the REAL offenders?

10. CASUAL GAMING
-What? Are you telling me videogames are not toys?! I'VE BEEN LIVING A LIE MY WHOLE LIFE! D:
Seriously, does it really bothers you THAT much that other people now play videogames too?

I'm just mildly amused at the notion that people are seemingly REALLY taking one guy's opinions to heart. 

Like my Grandma used to say: Opinions are like assholes. Everyone's got one, and no one said you had to like anything that comes out 'em. So, that said, why care so much for what's basically [parasitic bomb] any way?
