The key to eating a whole pizza is waiting for it to get cold and making sandwiches.

Kramer's voice is sex.

That doesn't fit his personality at all.

Sounds like an Anime. Are all American Live Action shows cast like that?

Really, after having had a taste of game grumps playing games they're actually good at (or just having Barry be one of the players) I can't watch most of the videos without feeling frustrated.

I think you're watching the wrong show.

I'm glad I never paid full price for a Ti-83. Only does 9 digits of decimal places.

More proof that JonTron is much better than Game Grumps.

Just like how The Completionist is better than Beard Brothers.

We're talking about a portable device with the power of a Gamecube. Why would a portable device have interlacing?

I take it you mean money.

Anyway, lots. Like 6,800 yen. ($68-$72 in USD).

No, Mega Power was how large the ROM size was.

No, they're "Megadrive Glasses", hence the coloration and the "16-BIT" on the sides.

How many Mega Power are they?

Why would a portable console have Interlaced video?

1200 wide (600 "per eye) would maintain the proper aspect ratio.

You're the one who brought up number of pixels as the sole crutch of the argument.  All I did was point out how senseless that was.  If you want to argue model quality or any more "meaningful" performance issue, be my guest.  I'd love to see some actual specs on the 3DS seeings how they're so freaking hard to come by.  Or you can just nitpick the visibly evident shortcuts in modeling that everyone takes when they work on handhelds anyway (God knows I've ripped into MHX on the PSP often enough on those grounds).

Huh, now I'm actually curious to know what technical flaws/shortcuts one could dig out of Monster Hunter Tri Ultimate...

At 400x240, the 3DS will never render something as well as the Gamecube. The models can be as great as they want, but when you only have 400x240 to work with, it's gonna end up looking bad compared to the Gamecube.

"Sole crutch of the argument."
Cool strawman.

You mean Nintendo frowns on it? I have no doubt that, if they had permission, and a dev felt they could make a game that only used the top screen, they would. Though, if they really wanted to, they could probably just send an image to the second screen and then never update it and that might use near-zero resources. Assuming the second screen could hold an image without constant updates to the video signal. And how often is the second screen actually rendering something complicated?

"3DS is as powerful as the Gamecube because it has to render a second screen", just sounds like excuses. I have yet to see a 640x480 game on the 3DS or that uses both screens to render something on par with the Gamecube's graphics, at the same time. From what I've seen the second screen is usually rendering something the Gameboy Advance or N64/DS would render, not something the 3DS is "capable" of.

Keep the second screen for Backwards(maybe Digital downloads for DS and 3DS?), make the main screen 2560x720(1280 "per eye") or 1280x720(640 "per eye", make it powerful enough to render things on the main screen on par with the Gamecube with those extra shaders you love so much.

PS: I'd rather have a system that had real power than one that was "better because it has bloom and blur".

Does adfly have an insane time between downloads?

I could get every other download and we could combine them.

Edit: The one you linked to worked. Thank you.

Edit: I found a value that makes Doppelganger Dante ignore my gamepad input, but the keyboard makes both players move and movement doesn't work at all on the keyboard. Maybe I'll look more into it later and see if I can get a two player mode going.

Found some values that let Doppelganger persist after cutscenes and room changes.

Working on values for Devil Trigger Yes/No.

Later I may try and see if I can get Virgil as the Doppelganger in normal play. I doubt it. I think his resources are specially loaded into RAM for that fight.

I found a DMC3 "modding" community, but all they seem to be interested in is retexturing things. Useless.

I think I got Virgil to be able to use Neo Angelo's moveset last time I did this stuff, but I'm not sure.

If anyone has any sort of ideas or requests, let me know.

Same resource logic applies to two players in the same setting.

And you're 76800 pixels short.

Are you counting the second screen?

It has the same filename as one I tried before, and all the ones I tried before had "everything" unlocked, but didn't actually have a file complete. Which means no Devil Trigger, no extra guns and weapons, and no extra Styles. I'll try it just to be sure when I have time later. Thanks.

Would it be too off-topic to mention that PS3 and Xbox can barely render a game at full HD resolution? If at all? Also, if the 3DS had the power of a Gamecube, then all the games would probably run at 60FPS.

FYI, the total number of pixels the 3DS displays is only 1/8 less than that of a single 640x480 TV screen, and the top screen is at most times being rendered from two separate angles.  A split-screen GCN game that looks as good as a decent 3DS game is pretty few and far between.  I mean, there's Rebel Strike, and...what else?
(God, I miss Factor5...)

192000/307200 is 0.625, not 0.875. And often times the resources are the same, not unique. Like, textures, music, sound effects, geometry, animations can all be stored in RAM and executed the same. There doesn't have to be two copies of everything in the process for stereoscopy to be used.

Anybody have a Save for Devil May Cry for PC that has at least Dante and Virgil beat in any difficulty? 100% would be nice though.

By that logic, the 3DS would have the power of a PlayStation 3 or Xbox 360 system, if it had an HD screen.

By that logic, Santa Claus is a champion chess player.

Reminds me when it was a really 'good deal' when I got my PSP 2GB memory stick for 120$. Was totally worth it in the long run though, given how the PSP got blown wide open.

120 is more than what I payed for my PSP 2000. I never paid more than 40 dollars for a memory stick. 40 for my 2GB, 40 for my 4GB, 40 for my 8GB, and 20 for my second 8GB.

Edit: I saw a 4GB one at a local shop, used, for 10 dollars. I asked if it was the right price, and they said yes.

Well, there's always Remotejoylite for the PSP, or a working video out cable for the PSP-2000/3000 models. Or even PPSSPP.

RJL uses PSP and PC cpu power. Framerate is pretty bad on more demanding games.

I'd have so bought this if they did it with the old PSP (UMDs and such, I mean, I know this thing plays PSN PSP games).  But yeah, I'll definitely be watching Vita's library a little closer now too.

I'm curious as to how exactly the PS Vita upscales/stretches/windows/whatever for its output, especially when playing PSP titles.  I have output cables for my PSP but the thing creates a pretty small window on a TV screen...

Dithering was a problem?

SNES MMX game sprites typically used about 4-8 colors. Now imagine how bad your GPU would have to be to necessitate dithering those colors. But the PS2 GPU is fine, I have no idea why they dithered the colors.

Whoa I just noticed the faster loading between screen transitions and the lack of freeze-frames. That must be the X Collection, I guess. >U<

You mean the massive dithering and bad music looping wasn't the first clue?

Some things I find important or interesting.

Wikipedia lists Vita as having "PowerVR SGX543MP4+" for a GPU, while the Vita TV will have "IMG SGX543MP4+".

Video Output modes include 480p, 720p, 1080i. Does 480p crop or downscale the 960x544? Also, who no 1080p? 720p is the only one of those options that fully supports the PS Vita resolution.

The device seems to bypass the DAC the Vita would use and outputs the sound via LPCM on HDMI.

"Those users who are not playing but in the same room can enjoy the televised game play that the PS Vita TV users are playing." I like that they needed to point out that you can watch a friend play a video game. The 80s called.

You can play 2 Player PS Classic games with 2 controllers.

Will Sony eventually sell a special Vita Controller? Will you be able to use a Vita as a controller? Will you be able to use a PS4 controller? Can you play with any of those via the USB connector for wired play?

Value pack costs the equivalent of 50 USD more and includes a special edition(colored?) DS3 and an 8GB Memory Stick.

Includes a USB cable, but makes no direct mention of how USB will be used.

This needs to get cracked so we can use it as a homebrew box. I don't even care about pirating games, I just wanna see how well this can emulate.
