I was hoping for another song, but you're awesome anyway.

That's a redone version of Return to Zero from the first game....ooh, it's lovely.
Err I thought you meant XII. Sorry.
Since we're in a a KOF thread already, does anyone here play on 2DF (now Supercade) or GGPO? It'd be nice to play with someone you know >_>

Ya know, part of me could see that happening, if only because Square Enix knows it could use an easy way to get at the upcoming 3DS fan base, in a way that an original or remake FF game couldn't hope to do.
It wouldn't be a platformer, exactly, but it WOULD still be a Mario game launching with the platform. And for both Ninty and Squeenix, that could be all that matters.
I got mine for full release day price... 60$...

2 Power Gloves and 2 Power Shoes.
Virtual Boy goggles.
FIRST VIRTUAL REALITY CONSOLE!
Judging by the average lifespan of a console, which is 5-6 years, we've still got at least another year before anything is officially announced regarding this. Then again, since Sony's keeping the PS2 alive because it's such a money maker, maybe Nintendo will do that with the Wii...Your speculation is quite the downer.
To be honest, I would just be happy with being able to play classic multiplayer games online with my friends. Mario Kart 64, StarFox 64 Battle Mode, and so on. I would happily pay for the service.
Nintendo acquires Sega.
Nintendo uses Sega Arcade console for the fun games like Wii Sports, etc. Shovelware devs funneled to this cheaper console.
Then develops a high-powered console for the other fork of their strategy. Serious third-party developers latch onto this one.
?
SMB I could understand for reasons of screensize, since some people prefer squishing to a cutoff, and you obviously have a lot more horizontal room (and besides, the Deluxe SMB2j isn't the "real" one in that it uses the SMB1 tiles and lacks the hidden levels).
