If there's a full moon that night, you can get solar energy from it. And also, maybe it sets the stage for challenge runs.
Also, why wouldn't there be a day/night system in a game that uses the physical sun?

That's likely why it was used in ReCoded as well (within the game, there is a mini-game where you can customize your avatar).It's more of a second mode accessible from the main menu, but yeah.
It was called Avatar Kingdom, and it linked to the normal Coded. Hence why it's in Re:Coded.

Maybe that's not a great gauge, but it's a pretty cool thing to me.

Also, I like how the character art style is the Avatar version, as seen in KH: Re: Coded. Also, player icons in Dissidia 012.
