"Nonononono I didn't mean make them ourselves! Not on purpose," Taylor said quickly. "I meant finding reliable places to randomly encounter them!"

"So that's what that battle's about... Still, that is too much power for us to handle right now... HeatGabumon hasn't even been back for a whole day, and he admits he's not quite ready to Digivolve past Champion."

"Plus Taylor needs to get the Crest of Creativity back!" her Digimon interjected.

"Yeah... I do... thanks for reminding me..." she said sullenly, eyeing HeatGabumon. He shrugged in response. "Anyways, we still need to power up somehow... If only there were some way to easily find foes that weren't going to crush us in a single blow..."

"Think about what?" HeatGabumon replied innocently. "No seriously, what?" He had been too absorbed in his food to even give the slightest amount of attention to the discussion.

"Obviously that's not gonna happen. We're allies, and we won't spar with each other... But we do need to find some foes..." Taylor said, musingly. She took another bite of pie and continued thinking.

A short trip later...

"Ah... this is some great pumpkin pie..." Taylor said. "How are you enjoying it, HeatGabumon?" The Digimon was completely unable to respond due to his great enjoyment of the food. Granted, HeatGabumon enjoying food entailed him devouring it wholeheartedly like an animal. "I'll... take that as a yes..." She turned to Sapph. "So... we need to fight some more battles to continue powering up. Got any ideas?"

Not all boss rushes have those, and having them lessens the difficulty severely.

In fact, I'm pretty sure that wouldn't be much of a challenge at all with the refills between.

(for those who are unaware... child>rookie, adult>champion, perfect>ultimate, ultimate>mega... iirc)

The enemy defeated and the battle won, BlazeGarurumon reverted back to Rookie level. "Whew, that was a workout!" he said.

"How are you feeling? Back to normal?" Taylor asked.

"Just about... still need to reach Ultimate and Mega... but aside from that I'm feeling good!" HeatGabumon happily replied.

"Good, good... now to find a battle to fight in!" she responded. "Do you feel anything?"

"A little... my fur is all on end! I think there's a great battle happening somewhere... lots of power..."

"Can we handle it?"

"If I was MechaGarurumon then yes. Since I can't even Digivolve to InfernoGarurumon, I don't think so..."

"I see..." she said, a bit let down. "Sapph, you have any ideas?"

Taylor watched as the combined attack of the four Digimon pierced the core of the slime monster. It was almost as if it was happening in slow motion, the arrow of light being the same size as the core and slowly disintegrating it as it passed through. With the core completely eradicated, the slime monster quickly evaporated into nothingness.

"Well that wasn't too bad..." she remarked as the Digimon headed back towards her and Sapph.

That's a cop-out.
I agree with this.

You're changing the rules of the game to suit your own distaste for X6. I mean, to each their own, but still.

That's not really a fair comparison. That's like me saying I'd rather play a ridiculously hard boss rush mode where I'm fully healed after each fight than play a game which has no such modifications nor healing rules.

BlazeGarurumon was maintaining the barrier as Talyn and Wizarmon spoke, but was paying attention. The instant that Wizarmon finished, he yelled to Taylor to look out. His warning sent, he leapt into the fray and contributed attacks of his own.

Taylor ran over to the rubble Sapph was beneath and quickly uncovered him. She wasn't surprised to find him unscathed bar a bruise or two. She sat by him to ensure he was okay in case any stray slime came near. He may be stubborn but he was in no condition to do anything but lay there.

BlazeGarurumon was helping with the attack, and saw their chance growing ever nearer. "We'll need to hit with a combined force when the core is reachable!" he exclaimed between Howling Burners. "Ready?"

Guys, Guys, i think he IS referring to all the projects that started or in some way or another were announced here:

Mega Girl R (Mine)- Just working on the Assets (sprites, tiles, concepts, music) but no programming at all (we don't have an Engine yet, and MEX my programmer, he promised one but got sidetrack by his commercial projects), tough on a positive note, we have been liking how the project has been evolving.

ya know, I'm actually quite happy to hear this :3

good to see it is still alive
