i have no money for food, no food in my place, and i'm moving sometime this week to a place that doesn't have internet and, from all reports, far more drama than I really want to deal with (including the closing of the kitchen there so I can't even make food there).

The quest for supplies was going quite well. Taylor and HeatGabumon were easily able to procure what they needed, and there was more than enough room on the transport to carry it all. Taylor loaded the last bit of cargo into the ship, and decided to sit down for a minute. HeatGabumon sat down next to her and looked her in the eyes.
"Are you sure this is what you want to do?" he asked.
"I should be asking you that... I mean, are you sure you want to fight those other Digimon? He has quite a few..." she replied.
"If I must, then yes. Sapph's your friend, are you sure you want to fight him?" HeatGabumon responded, mirroring Taylor's own concerns.
"Yes... if I have to then I shall. After seeing that devastation, that destruction... there's not much else I can do. Seeing that Wily's actions caused all of that... I can't forgive him... And as a result, that kinda moves my allegiance from neutral to one parallel of the Resistance's." HeatGabumon nodded in agreement.
"The Resistance has strong fighters though... Wily might have caused all that, but they pulled through somehow. Which makes me wonder... are we even strong enough to be a worthy addition to their cause? I mean, if I could reach Mega then maybe but..." Taylor looked down at her friend and rubbed the fur coat on his head.
"Relax... All will happen as it must. And plus, we have courage!"
"Courage?"
"Yeah! As someone once told me, courage is the magic that turns dreams into reality. And as I see it, if we have that courage then anything we strive for can be achieved if we just work for it."
"So then... what is your dream, Talyn?" HeatGabumon asked.
"Peace. A period of time where we don't have to worry about being attacked or wondering when our world might be laid to waste... A world where we can relax and spend time with friends..." she mused.
"That's a pretty ambitious dream... but I'm with you all the way, Taylor," HeatGabumon happily proclaimed.
"Good to know, friend... First though, let's get these supplies back. We'll deal with everything else as it comes, okay?" The Digimon nodded in agreement as the two hopped in the ship and returned to the space station.
"Are you sure this is what you want to do?" he asked.

It was hard to believe that what was in front of them was a city not long beforehand. Debris was scattered everywhere, large buildings that touched the sky before now crumbled below the earth as the surrounding foliage was in danger of being crushed by collapsing walls. Sure, the Resistance may have been victorious against Wily, but at what cost? St. Acidburg was no more. Sure, they could rebuild it in time, but it wouldn't quite be the same. There was no feeling of life in the city anymore, and there were no sounds to accompany that life. The only noise that was made was the crashing of crumbled buildings falling to the ground, the sounds of a city in its death throes.
"This is... this is horrible..." HeatGabumon said solemnly.
"It is... but..." Taylor hesitated.
"But what?"
"I don't know... I want to remain neutral in this... and Sapph's creating his own little faction..." she explained. "But if this is the result of Wily's actions... I don't know if I can stand by Sapph."
"What are you getting at?" the Digimon inquired.
"We may end up joining the Resistance at some point. Which means that we might have to fight Sapph as well. Are you okay with that, buddy?"
HeatGabumon looked in Taylor's eyes, and the determination in his eyes matched her own. "If that's what happens, then so be it," he replied resolutely. "I don't want to see anyone suffer, or anywhere be destroyed like this. I can't smell any life left here; it's nothing but desolation, destruction, and death. No place should have to suffer like this one has. It's why I'm your partner, Talyn; we share these same ideals, don't we?"
Taylor nodded and grinned a bit. "Aye, that is true... So what next?"
"We should get supplies for the space station, of course."
"Good idea. Though we may have to part ways with Sapph down the road, there's no point in doing so now... I just hope he doesn't feel like we're betraying him..." Taylor replied, mumbling the last part just loudly enough for HeatGabumon to hear.
"It'll be for the best; the safety of the land comes first. We've always known this."
"I know... anyways, let's get going." The two returned to the ship and left to resume their task.
