"Ah, but that would require Mewtwo to be able to memory wipe himself!"

Well Aegislash is one of my favorites from this generation, so I'm quite familiar with his capabilities.

"OBJECTION! Because Mewtwo already stated that at the time he attacked Carr, Carr's strength and power was comparable to his own! We already know Mewtwo is stronger than any of us humans, so a memory wipe wouldn't have affected Carr because Carr's psychic prowess at the time was comparable to his own! Furthermore, though his target was technically Carr, circumstances made it so it was Mewtwo versus Mewtwo! An equal battle!"

Yeah, Aegislash only defaults to Shield Forme when you send him out, even if you swapped him out while in Blade Forme. If you want to return to Shield Forme you need to use King's Shield on your next turn.

"I think what he's trying to say is that punishing Mewtwo for using one of his own abilities is like punishing you for practicing law, Nick," Maya whispered. A large bead of sweat began to form on Phoenix's brow.

Gee thanks, Maya, I couldn't have figured that on my own... And there are those who have punished me for practicing law... he thought, remembering a certain whipcracking prosecutor and involuntarily wincing in pain at the memory.

"Seems like there was no malice in suppressing those memories, merely trying to protect something important. Much like you were only trying to protect your family from Carr's manipulation, right?"

"So the memories can be regained over time, then? That seems quite a far cry from complete erasure of memories; even the mind can repress memories on its own at times."

I'm going to start raising a team of Dragons. Because why not.

Plan on it containing Salamence, Garchomp, Haxorus, Hydreigon, Goodra, and Noivern.

And they will ALL know Draco Meteor.

(Thanks!)

"Anyways, I'd like to call Mewtwo back to the stand, now that some of the details of the past have been brought up. There's a few more things I'd like to ask him..." Phoenix stated.

"Perhaps it isn't, Your Honor," Phoenix replied sheepishly.

(Okay I have no idea what to do to actually turn this case around :C)

Yeah, Froakie gets you Moltres.

Which sucks. I wanted Zapdos and didn't realize starter choice determined which bird you got.

Also I got Moltres by checking his location in the Pokedex. Yes, it was annoying, but at least I knew where he was.

you do realize you can check the pokedex to see where they are, right? it's not relying on luck, it's checking the pokedex for their current location and getting there, chasing them down.

as far as i know, it has always been this way with roamers.

There's a small post-game sidequest in Lumiose that leads to a daily battle with someone in that sidequest. As far as I know, their Pokemon are the highest leveled Pokemon for a Trainer in the entire game.

"Enough with the accusations and assumptions, Mr. Payne. Leave those to me; at least mine tend to lead to the truth!" Phoenix exclaimed proudly before realizing he had somewhat insulted himself.

"If Mewtwo is truly manipulating our minds, there is literally no evidence to disprove he is doing that. If he were to use his power for the reasons you claim he is, then there is no point in holding a trial as literally every single piece of evidence would be a product of his tampering. However, Mewtwo isn't doing any of that! He isn't on a rampage in the court, he isn't manipulating everyone, he isn't doing any of the evil things you claim he is doing! Mewtwo, unlike you apparently, has a conscience, and regrets his past mistakes. Why else would he have agreed to the tests and the trial?"

"Mr. Payne, you yourself said that this court relies on facts, and yet you keep resorting to wild accusations that have no basis in, well, facts. If Mewtwo were rampaging through the courtroom right now, his powerful psychic powers would probably have killed us by now. And then we wouldn't be able to imagine anything, not even this!"
