Lessee... 151 Gen1, 100 new ones in Gen2, 135 new ones in Gen3, and 105 new ones in Gen4. The current total is 493. They need at least 107 new ones to break 600. Which they probably will...

Since Arceus is basically God, I have no idea how they'll top it. The birds and cats were elementals (same with the Regis), Celebi was time, Mew was basically the mind (could learn all moves, was psychic-type), Groudon, Kyogre, and Rayquaza, were Land, Sea, and Sky, Azelf and them were emotions, and Dialga and Palkia are Time (again) and Space. So what's left?

Also, it's about time for a WOMBAT POKEMON! Make it a starter!

Ever notice how Link can instantly master any instrument he gets? Can play anything with no practice. Now that's talent. He can play a flute, an ocarina, a pan flute, can howl on-key, and can conduct too!
