And i usually hate growling. But they use operatic singing, choirs and classical instruments in such a way, that I just can't hate their stuff.
it's all about moderation when it comes to growling for me. Needs a good balance with proper vocals. Ok more like 70/30.

Dunno about the PSP, but the Vita definitely needs a stick for any storage. Be it music, games, save files, etc.

Cheapest you can get is 4GB for like $20. They're kind of a rip

saw the movie this Saturday

the humour was a hit and miss most of the time, but I really enjoyed the main story and characters. That's pretty much my only thoughts.

I actually didn't mind that fellow last time he was on. But Jaf's style of posting just seems eerily similar.

Hey all. JustAFan here, although if it's easier I guess Jaf will do.
I think I'll call you Shinigami No Tekken. It just leaps to mind when I read your posts for some reason.

Still trekking through Borderlands 2. Sorta slowed down on it a bit and picked up Unreal Tournament 3 and Killing Floor on the side.

Heavily considering picking up the Assassin's Creed series. Any words on that guys?
Don't even bother with the 1st one. 2 improves on it every way. If you like that then Brotherhood adds some new stuff but isn't that big a leap. I haven't played Revelation but only people that are really that big fans cared for it, from what I hear. And 3 I have no idea about.

Personally I enjoyed 2 a fair bit, but my biggest issue with the games is how badly executed the stealth aspects tend to be. Even when doing things properly, it still involved killing a crapton of guards or being more trouble than its worth. Getting over that and just trying to play it as a sandbox game of sort made it more enjoyable for me at least. My stealth standards have just gotten really nitpicky since playing the Thief series. Speaking of that, if you enjoy Dishonoured, then you should totally play Thief, which is probably its biggest influence in a lot of ways.

apparently in the process of this, Lucas Arts was also bought out.

I'd like to think by some irrational and baseless logic that this increases the possibility of another Jedi Knight game instead of some half-assed Force Unleashed or whatever else. I can dream ok? ;;

I didn't feel like or care enough to say anything about it till now, but jesus christ what is going on.

I am already confused with minimal effort so this apparent fad has just run me up the wall.

GJ peeps and thank you avatars.

don't forget this key bit:

Quote
The announcement said she will serve as executive producer on new films in the franchise, with Lucas as creative consultant. The announcement notes that Star Wars Episode 7 is scheduled for release in 2015, with more films expected to follow.

I dunno what to think, really. But I'm curious what arc they shall cover, if even any preexisting ones

I don't even know.

These [Top Spin]s banned viewing in the US. I'm just going to assume it sucks.
weird. Not sure why Canada is excluded from EMI's region lock bullshit then.

I've used this one many times before, but I just really can't bother finding something else that fits this res decently

edit: also I like how tinypic managed to make the filesize larger in the process of scaling it down from 1920x1080

Borderlands 2.

I bought the 1st one for about $7 a while back and never got around to it. Then last week my friend suddenly buys me this one, so I've felt some obligation to actually give it a run through. I've been having a good time. Coming off my typical Quake style of shooters, I'm glad my utter disregard for cover does not make the game much harder. Been buffing all my regenerating stats to make rushes even easier for the matter. I think one of my favourite things so far is the default vehicle for its infinite ammo, crazy fast healing and awesome powerslides/drift. Also igniting people's heads with a sniper rifle is rather satisfying.

and by this point I'm getting too lazy to give thought about Ys Seven which I'm still trudging through.
But here have its opening theme.

alright I think that's it. I don't really expect much of anyone to listen through those but I am just all ecstatic about this series right now.

Far Cry 2

Someone brought it into work with a bunch RTSes yesterday. Since used PC games tend to be.. inconsistent, each is only sold for two bucks, so I figured I'd nab this one myself. I'm having a fine time so far. Sneaking around in tall grass and flanking enemies is rather satisfying.

Also borrowed Gravity Rush. Quite liking it. Cerfainly has a unique charm.
