Still kinda stings though.Friends with that sort of expectation are often the ones I talk to least out of avoidance for aimless and awkward conversation not worth anyone's time. It's the people you can just jump in and keep talking to after any days, weeks or months of silence that are really worthwhile.

Currently focusing on Dishonoured.
Cleared the campaign with Low Chaos already. Already going back to blow through levels without killing any targets this time. Also going to avoid any detection to get every "Ghost" bonus. Also also not using a single power since it just seems like a crutch for more inexperienced players.
In other words I'm playing it like Thief because it may as well be a vague spin off under a different name.

watching what few episodes are out for Initial D Fifth Stage right now.
I'm liking the song choices so far and uh yeah. Episode 4 got a bit dumb in that they suddenly brought in this concept of the lead character Takumi having these rare occurrences of getting crazy boosts in speed that even the wise leader guy just simply says are impossible. It's presented visually as a small teleport pretty much. I am really not sure what to think about it. Also they call it the "Fujiwara Zone" after Takumi's surname and I just cannot take that seriously. If it were anything but a street racing anime with plenty of in depth technical discussions then this probably wouldn't bother me much at all.

oh right so after like a year I actually went back and finished East of Eden. It was so looong but enjoyable nonetheless. If there's one thing Steinbeck always excels at is fleshing out characters and such. On that subject, I also read The Wayward Bus by him for my book report in English last year. Literally at least half of it was monologues on each and every character. Apparently it got a film adaptation like a lot of his other works, but that one in particular I couldn't picture translating well to any other form of media. Either way I quite liked it. I could give details but that was still like 6 months ago since I finished it.

borrowed Assassin's Creed III from work. Got through about 5 chapters and grew tired of it already. There's so much new crap and changes that they have to go over every single detail veeeery slowly and it just makes the start unbearable.
also still playing Borderlands 2. I like how I've put way more hours into it than my friend that bought me it to begin with.
