East of Eden by John Steinbeck.

About 600 pages evenly. Almost halfway. Enjoying it a fair bit so far.

It's actually written directly from John Steinbeck's perspective. He tells the story of Adam Trask, whom after striking rich from his inheritance, moved to Salinas and became friends with Samuel Hamilton. Things don't go well as Adam's rather strange wife Cathy, ditches him shortly after giving birth to twins, later named Caleb and Aaron. From there it focuses on them and such I do believe. Haven't gotten to that yet. But if the blurb is anything to go by, it winds up like something along the lines of Cain and Abel. No clue how much of the whole book is true though, since Samuel Hamilton is apparently John Steinbeck's grandfather.

Either way, quite good. Definitely liking it more than The Grapes of Wrath.

IIRC they usually show transparency as black in thumbnails on ImageShack

This is why I avoid Teletoon and YTV like the plague now (well actually just TV in general).

Honestly I'd love to disown most of the [parasitic bomb] our country has spewed out in the past few years.

Its amazing, but his resemblance to a fat John Lennon is astounding.

That's actually fanart anyways. They couldn't snag the actual image used during the announcement for whatever reason.

I should probably watch Pan's Labyrinth to see how this guy is.
I hardly saw any of that movie, but very early on he smashes a guy's face in with a wine bottle. Charming stuff.

I've only played Blood Money (the latest one released, there's a 360 version actually) and a bit of Silent Assassin so far. But from what I hear, pretty much all of them are good except the very first game. For the matter, there was a "trilogy" pack released that contained 2-4. Contracts has remakes of a few of the 1st game's levels anyways.

I always wanted to play Hitman.
You can get almost all of them on Steam for 10 USD each. Except Contracts, which couldn't get the license renewed on one of the copyrighted songs it used. I actually got Silent Assassin for the GameCube though. There was a new one confirmed just this past E3. It's lookin' pretty nice.

Hitman 2: Silent Assassin

My disguises, they do nothing D: Had to kill a random guy to sneak out in the first mission. Apparently that doesn't lower my ranking from the titular Silent Assassin to Professional though. It even gave me a silenced weapon as a reward, so hooray I guess.

If I have the proper income/money to waste by release, I'll be sure to get this. I dunno why but I'm kinda excited, despite knowing very few of the characters or hardly playing any fighting games.

Finally got that 'Windows not genuine' crap gone. Though I don't think I even mentioned that on here before. Ah well. Now then, if I could just get my custom Google background to cooperate.

I like how you couldn't get that [parasitic bomb] to stick on Wikipedia, so you did it to the MMN wiki. A wiki no one gives a [tornado fang] about anymore.

Good on you.
Because I was totally the one that actually did that just because I screencapped it

It was still like that when I checked one moment ago. Still, I reuploaded the screenshot somewhere else, hope you don't mind.
It seems fine whenever opening through here, but when clicking back from the Edit History, it's gone. I dunno.
