A bit back an... acquaintance was insisting I get this. So, with Rogers apparently having a 2-for-1 rental deal, I figured I'd finally try it. I do not regret getting it. It's pretty damn good. In fact I can't think of anything negative to say. Unlike most Hack N' Slashers I've played, the enemies haven't gotten to the point of rage-inducing annoyance late in the game. The levelling system is simple enough for even me to use right. This is coming from someone that avoids RPGs like the Plague. One aspect in particular I enjoy, like most games, is the music. I'm seemingly a sucker for female vocals, so first hearing it in the village you start at and the main field just north was most pleasant. The story is also intriguing, and each character has a unique design and personality that makes them rather memorable (♥ Kainé, foul-mouthed as she is).
Other game I rented was Sonic Unleashed (PS3 ver.)
Played Colours before this one, and I find myself much preferring it. Not everyone has that good of reaction time, so the excessive [parasitic bomb] coming out of nowhere and "Press this to not screw up/die" just does not thrill me. The Werehog stages meanwhile I don't mind at all. Having just played God of War not long before this, I feel right at home.Well, aside from constantly hitting the right analogue stick, expecting it to make me roll, only to twitch the camera. But yeah overall, I really hope the stages in Generations are more like Colours' instead of this.
