Vectorman (0.74 USD) and Sonic Adventure DX (2.24 USD) on Steam. The latter I bought for no logical reason since I've already got the original GameCube copy. Guess I just love wasting money.

Wow. Looks about on par with Among Thieves in GFX. Makes me actually a bit interested to get a Vita now. Though I'll wait to see what else they have to offer.

Just started Thief: The Dark Project.. er rather, "Thief Gold". Same thing just with some extra missions. I was a bit worrisome at how I'd do with 1st-person stealth after my brief skirmish with Deus Ex (which I will very slowly get all the way through), but this plays just fine. Standing in a little shadow in a corner and being nigh invisible is amusingly fun. The guards have some funny chatter between each other. I dunno what the hell a "taffer" is but I'm guessing something rather insulting in this game's universe. I look forward to being scared shitless by the later levels/games.

Also going to completely start over in NieR today. Apparently the weapon I'm missing to unlock Ending C and D is one I should've gotten automatically as part of the story. Since the New Game Plus always starts me after the point I get it, I'm forever stuck at 97%. Whatever though, I wanted to maybe do all those sidequests I missed in the 1st half anyways.

Sonic Unleashed (PS3) - 19.99 CDN
NieR (PS3) - 19.99 CDN

Apparently I had $55 in Best Buy gift cards lying around for the past two or so years. Figured I'd use em up on the last two game I had rented.

Also got Hitman 2 for sale on Steam at 3.40 USD. I already have the GameCube version, but love my Run Button too much to bare playing that one again.

By far one of the best anime openings I've seen, and one of the very rare times where it sounds better than the Japanese dub.
Funimation usually does a pretty good job at English covers, I find. I quite love their version of DragonBall's ending theme. Shame they never make longer ones.

Anime & Manga / Re: Dragonball: Episode of Bardock
« on: September 01, 2011, 07:39:55 PM »
There's so much What-If stories and other such things now that I'll just assume this is one such. In fact there's also another Bardock saved from the explosion that was brought to the timeline of DragonBall Online, which is more or less canon since Toriyama is fairly involved. I think SSJ Bardock might've appeared in that one very-much-non-canon Arcade game before this (along with such characters as SSJ3 Future Trunks and Chilled), so this is probably just something to go along with it.

RPM Punchout was a fun topic. Though Im assuming it was before the crash, since I cant find it in searches.

Anyone still have it saved somewhere or something? I dont recall if it was one big picture or individual ones.

But that's like two years old now. Though I think the only thing different from then is lack of facial hair.

Some original character by Rezi.

Wily II insists this is "Anime Irgy". I s'pose the hair might be similar but eh. Sure why not. Apparently I'm female now as well.

I had the same basic predicament about a month back. It was really bizarre though since not only did the local Chapters not have what I was after, but also every bookstore we stopped at during my trip to the states. Though at least I did get more John Steinbeck outta the huge Barnes and Noble we went to.

Anywho. Uh, I got up around 9am, did the usual morning routine. Had the place to myself most of the day. Probably should've used the opportunity to play some PS3 on the 50" upstairs, but instead wasted away my time on here among other sites. Applied to a few jobs online as per my mother's insistence finally. Emptied the dishwasher later. And uh, yeah. Only real productive bits there. Overall an ever so thrilling summer day. I just totally live life on the edge don't I

Ristar (Steam) - 2.99

Even though I already have it on Sonic Mega Collection, I wanted to test out my new debit card which pretty much acts like a Visa. Figured this'd be cheap enough and also something I'd actually enjoy and play on here a fair bit.

Limbo (Steam as well) - 9.99

Purchased it as a gift to someone as payback for the copy of Hitman: Blood Money they gave me a bit back.

NieR

A bit back an... acquaintance was insisting I get this. So, with Rogers apparently having a 2-for-1 rental deal, I figured I'd finally try it. I do not regret getting it. It's pretty damn good. In fact I can't think of anything negative to say. Unlike most Hack N' Slashers I've played, the enemies haven't gotten to the point of rage-inducing annoyance late in the game. The levelling system is simple enough for even me to use right. This is coming from someone that avoids RPGs like the Plague. One aspect in particular I enjoy, like most games, is the music. I'm seemingly a sucker for female vocals, so first hearing it in the village you start at and the main field just north was most pleasant. The story is also intriguing, and each character has a unique design and personality that makes them rather memorable (♥ Kainé, foul-mouthed as she is).

Other game I rented was Sonic Unleashed (PS3 ver.)

Played Colours before this one, and I find myself much preferring it. Not everyone has that good of reaction time, so the excessive [parasitic bomb] coming out of nowhere and "Press this to not screw up/die" just does not thrill me. The Werehog stages meanwhile I don't mind at all. Having just played God of War not long before this, I feel right at home.Well, aside from constantly hitting the right analogue stick, expecting it to make me roll, only to twitch the camera. But yeah overall, I really hope the stages in Generations are more like Colours' instead of this.

Saw those last night during a livestream. I'm liking the final boss a bit, especially their very UNCE UNCE stage theme. Everyone's been calling her DJ Youkai. Given the longass name I think I'll be using that to.

Also just WTF at the EX Boss. Though I find it ironic there was a fan character from ages back that was Chen's own shikigami, and was the same species.

EDIT: Oh, of course it's uploaded.
Here's the stage theme I'm talking about.
Dat bassline.
