Some decent-ish footage finally.

There's also some new screenshots, including a Boss Battle with some plant thing and Metal Sonic.

Thief II: The Metal Age (via GOG)

I already bought the whole series for about $15. This cost $10 but also came with a proper soundtrack rip, and of course doesn't require I have the installation disk running in order to play.

I'm such a sucker.

I'll maybe-probably get that.

Also I'mma just ask here so uh, is there anything worthwhile on PSN I could get for this $5 I've got left over? My usual preference for genre are shooting, platformer and stealth. Already have Sonic CD by the way.

The Last Story is being published in North America…by Xseed. Nintendo of America just announced the game during their Nintendo Direct presentation.

Surprised? Maybe this isn’t as much of a surprise as you think. Xseed is owned by Marvelous AQL. AQ Interactive, before they merged with Marvelous, owned Artoon, the developer that worked on The Last Story with Nintendo and Mistwalker. Artoon was later absorbed into the company.

The Last Story will be published in North America later this year. Europe gets it on February 24th.

On a related note, Xenoblade's NA release has been confirmed as April 6th.

Things seem so off lately. I think I actually miss the panic of exams and final assignments from a few weeks ago.

Since the guy I borrowed games from hasn't replied when to actually return them, I randomly started an Evil Side playthrough on his copy of inFAMOUS 2. Also put it on Hard mode, as if the rocket and shotgun mooks didn't irritate me enough already.

Irgend, if you please!

It makes me feel all formal. Not that it has any particularly special meaning.

That's exactly why I'd love to see it ported. It's almost-sorta my fave level of Unleashed, just needed some more tweaking. I also really love its music track for some reason.

Thinking about it now, I'd love to go through all those water parts of Jungle Joyride with Generations' much tighter drifting.

Nice. Hopefully they manage to get things fully up to scratch and import Jungle Joyride :v

Edit: Hurp, just checked the related vids. Hoorah then

Sonic CD on Steam for myself and an acquaintance

(I don't even like this game and already have it on PSN, what's wrong with me)

Also got a friend The Binding of Isaac. I totally knew it happened to be his BDay tomorrow.

I myself am wondering if they could just use Christian Whitehead's Engine and/or import the physics into something with higher GFX.

Just started Sly Cooper and the Thievius Racoonus

Can't beat the stupid Submarine Minigame but other than that I'm thoroughly enjoying it so far.

Also, finished the campaign in Uncharted 3, but I was unaware I have to pay $10 for multiplayer, so to hell with that for now.

O yeah, forgot about dis thread

So, some time ago a friend made the observation that I resemble Buddy Holly, and even wanted to take a picture of a comparison >>

The suit was purely coincidental since I had Grad photos that day

I personally enjoyed Uncharted 2 far more, in terms of story and gun mechanics.
I remember hearing some mention of that. It's been ages since I played 1 or 2 though, so what's different specifically? Only thing about it I really notice is the sensitivity needs to be able to go higher >_>

One thing in Uncharted 3 that stood out for me, however, is the superb online gameplay. Useful Kickbacks, booster options, amazingly detailed maps and other great mutliplayer content made the $60 worth it for me. Don't get me wrong though, I didn't feel Uncharted 3 was bad, but rather the single player campaign didn't live up to the expectations of the masterpiece that was Uncharted 2.
Admittedly I haven't played the online for either game myself (I only borrowed Among Thieves, still haven't bought it).

That's what I've been saying since forever.

The level design was almost as if they slapped it together quickly, and trying to Time Travel is inconvenient at times due to hills and various platforms in your way. On the flip side, the music is by far some of the best in the franchise, and I like the general dark atmosphere. Overall, Sonic CD is overated. It had a terrific concept, but was simply executed poorly.
Yeah... the game plays a hell of a lot better with Tails, which should've been available from the start as a Retain My Sanity Easy Mode or something.

Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception

Definitely seems to be a worthy sequel so far, but there's one minor thing that's really irking me. Every now and then I'll reach what seems to be a stealth segment, with Nate even muttering "Better do this quietly". But, despite that implication it seems getting spotted and having a large fight with enemies spawning everywhere is the only option. The one time I did manage to take out everyone quietly, the game refused to trigger the next cutscene, with my AI partner just sitting there doing nothing. Like, I know stealth wasn't a key point of the gameplay but, I feel.. I dunno, mislead. Maybe it's just my slight perfectionist instinct having just played through the Thief series.

Also played through Sonic CD on PSN today

The best thing it's got going for it is the music, really. The time travel gimmick is cool and all, but leaves the levels a nauseating clusterfuck. Wacky Workbench in particular just drives me nuts since I can't stand still for half a sec before getting shot to the ceiling at Mach 2. Stardust Speedway is also rather poorly executed in its gimmick I find. The famed Metal Sonic race ain't that great either. It's okay overall I s'pose, but now I'm definitely of the opinion that it's overrated.

In the way of PS3 vs. 360, I think the only difference anyone has really noticed is some apparent pixelation in the first cutscene on 360. Unlike Unleashed, both games are capped at 30fps I do believe. I'm on PS3 version myself and it runs fine, with the only brief drop of frames when too much crap is getting destroyed on screen. Namely, stomping through a bunch of boxes in Crisis City and some rubble falling around me in Sky Sanctuary (ala Jungle Joyride now that I think about it). Not sure if this is present on the 360, but I doubt one version was optimized better over the other if they've been set at the same frame limit.
