Actually, I am a huge fan of both sports & video games. Lol, I work in the sports field as well. XD
Like them both too. Heck, currently cutting down on games so I can pay for my gym membership.

Funny how geeks are pretty much the same as jocks in some lines of thinking.

Jocks go "sports good, games bad!"
Geeks go "games good, sports bad!"

There goes any trace of superiority they could ever have. They're just the new kind of jock now.

This is probably gonna be a SOCOM-like game, which means tactical third person shooting with squad elements. Zombies will most likely have some kind of intelligence to them and will be able to overwhelm you.

I like to question Teletoon on how can they get gay stereotypes on their idiotic show and pass it off as a "children's cartoon". I've seen those mole people, and they look gay as hell.

P.S.
For the record, I'm not a homophobe, but those outfits they wear look like they just came out of a gay pride parade.
AND THOSE EYELASHES
! 8D
Some stuff gets censored.

Like the Barbecuor episode. Because of the blatantly homosexual "Silver Spooner".

I'LL HAVE YOU KNOW I'M NO WHIPPERSNAPPER! I just live in the day and age so I can enjoy them moment when I'm actually in it =w=b

Ohohoho! And this is where our tastes diverge, my friend~~
I, on the other hand, love the insane amount of blood splatter/bullet holes/debris/etc. And the Beyond the Impossible moments. And the general thrill ride.
See, this is why I'm a total Nihei fan, but that's a story for somewhere else.
See... I read stuff like this in Hellsing:

http://img2.bleachexile.com/manga/hellsing/009/HellsingV2C3_11.jpg

And I'm used to seeing choreography like this in comics:

http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_Ew7U77z42eo/S3rn2ctM7UI/AAAAAAAAAc4/3KA_aMm8zzY/s1600-h/BR080009.jpg
So I get kinda confused reading it.

Nope. You're not normal. You're a nerd. And so are the rest of us here, discussing children's cartoons and video games.

I am optimistic.

REORC could be cool. But I'm more interested in the RE4 and CV remaked. Or HD ports. Or whatever.

But yeah, good news to me. Thanks.
Yep. Always happens.

>New game announced
>People say how they loved the previous ones more and how they wait for their remakes

Why do people like playing the same thing over and over so much? Not talking about you specifically. Just... kinda gets to me how this ALWAYS happens.

I was gonna quote that. You beat me to it.

"Relies exclusively on cartridges"

That word. I don't think it means what you think it means.

PS: I grew up with SNES and NES.
He looks older than me.

Did he wait until he was 20 years old to start growing up?
Some people "grow up with games" older. I played since I was 3, so I still went through the 8-bit generation, but most people who play games today started in the 32/64-bit generation.

I don't intend to have my stuff lost in a myriad of crap, so webcomics are a no-go. Local publishers are just that, local. And indie comics are hit-or-miss. I'm gonna stick with what the pros said. They had to break in somehow, they know what the market's like these days.
You want to break into the industry?

Become friends with someone from within. That's pretty much the only way.

Okami was such a great game, any sequel of it is prone to certain expectations.

So basically, without it to compare to, Okamiden is a bit hard to analyse.

I'd like to say a few words of possible advice:

Independent Webcomics. They will love you for your writing skillz~

Try the indie comic community, that's a good place to start too, that's where hits like Spawn, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and of course, Hellboy came from.
Spawn was written by already-successful-comic-artist Todd McFarlane. TMNT had a big luck strike for being a Daredevil parody, and Hellboy was fortunate enough to have John Byrne's name accompany it and lead it through the comic world wherever it went at first.

Honestly? The Indie comic community sucks. And as far as webcomics go, 99,999999% are either absolute ant total garbage, furry crap, opinionated bullshit, or fetish comics determined to appeal to a certain audience.

Well he did lose his precious
He did, but he's still got a ring and half a charge of an entire lantern corps.

He's pretty much as powerful as the rest of the New Guardians, if not more.

And when the hell are we gonna hear Larfleeze's oath?

Genndy needs to become a freelance cartoonist and grab a Youtube account if CN's gonna keep whoring the works of ManofAction and thurop, and get a DA account while he's at it. Most of the guys who did Flapjack and Foster's did anyway..
Because we all know guys like John K are rolling in the dough from going freelance.

He does what makes him able to make cartoons. Just that.

Well we still have to see Hal vs. Guy, and Sodom Yat and the Daxamites are gonna join the fray soon I think. We'll see. And yeah, the Guardians thing was hilarious!
Hal vs Guy wil certainly be entertaining, although I hope Johns doesn't write it, because he always seems to give Hal the upper hand on everything he does. I want a fair fight.

And I hope Larfleeze escapes and starts wreaking havoc like the old days. What happened to all of his amazing godly powers of an entire corps?

I wonder what would be better, keeping everyone in its own style like Smash Bros, or experiment with having everyone in a consistent style like NxC?

Anyways, will post my ideas later, but I'll just say, while making a Mario moveset I just noticed that he's pretty much Ryu already XD

It's not like it has to look like he's shooting bullets. They could make up some BS saying that he's shooting magic or something and modify the look of the attacks accordingly.
Nope, guns are guns. Turn them into Wii Zappers or something.

...also, Pauline was here. Peach and Daisy are sluts.

From the way they were hyping it, I honestly think that brainwashing and setting the general NPC Corps against the main heroes is kinda weak.

I mean, I know comics aren't represented by those covers, but I wanted to see Hal versus Guy! Kyle versus John! And no brainwashing, I mean real, actual "different sides" thing.

Well, one thing that I like is that War of the Green Lanterns is only gonna span 4 issues. And those 4 issues are gonna be of different series. The way Sinestro Corps War was, and the way Blackest Night should have been. Self-contained.

I lawled like kurazy at the possessed Guardians, BTW.

Anime & Manga / Re: What Anime are you Currently Watching?
« on: March 24, 2011, 04:52:12 PM »
Oh don't get me wrong I liked the Trigun anime. In fact it was the first 'serious' anime that I watched (dubbed as well) and I had loved it~ But there were always these little things I didn't really get.
I later read the manga and things make more sense after completion and
(click to show/hide)
I think overall the manga was more satisfying that and I'm weak to still images and moar ax crazy!Legato so I'd like to see it done if only for the epic action scenes.

I didn't hate Badlands Rumble, but the plot was a paper thin excuse to bring back all that we loved. It worked, but I still want my completion >O

Also, lusting for the 90s? My my, don't we sound old.
I will agree the moe crap we get nowadays is terribad though. You know, because KyoAni starts doing it and everyone else is following lead. And also story doesn't matter anymore because fanservice is more popular. :U
I lusted for the 90's because if I lusted for the 80's, people would call me old. >_> I guess you youngsters are more whippersnappers than I thought.

And I liked the anime more, because it was simpler. The manga sometimes crashed and burned with some characters being more than they should have been. The anime kept everything neat and simple, and explained it all. That, and I don't really like the manga art much. Just like Hellsing, it's too confusing for me to tell what the hell is going on sometimes.

Badlands Rumble was perfect. It didn't mess with the perfect canon we have, and it gave us more of the same. The plot was more of the same of the first half of the anime, and it bore no relevance to the overall story. All in all, it's awesome.

I know there are a fair few Star Wars experts here, so I suppose I'll ask, anyone know the specific name/album/whatever of this song?

http://www.rockmanpm.com/player/player.swf?file=http://www.fileden.com/files/2010/2/2/2747625/bespina_explore.mp3
Ripped it from Star Wars Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast. It was used for the Bespin Streets level and Menu for the GC port. Given Sony likes to block most videos that have the SW Soundtracks, I haven't been able to figure out its proper name by myself.
It sounds like a rhapsody of alot of different Star Wars tunes played a bit more softly than usual. Maybe it's an actual song from SW soundtracks, but I can't remember it.
