Only glitch I've actually encountered through my game was the walking on loops. Or rather, standing still on a loop.

Of course Tails would have better control in SA2's Chao Garden, it was [tornado fang]ing SA2.

And Tails' attack doesn't need to be aimable when you can carpet bomb your [tornado fang]ing enemies.

Dummy Rings were worse in Heroes.
It was [tornado fang]ing SA2... but his gameplay was just created for the purpose of Chao Gardening. And it was still better than a level-spanning gameplay.

Heck, the only salvageable thing in the game is Silver's first level, because it can honestly be played logically without any HUGE bugs.

What pisses me off, is that Shadow could have potencially been great. The game could have just used him without referencing Sonic, and had a good, decent, gun-based gameplay they tried something new.

Instead, it was a very, very bug-ridden Heroes mod.

I haven't had a problem with tails' attack yet.
Sonic's slide is odd, but you have to hold the button to use it which is why it throws people off.
Haven't gotten to a knuckles segment yet.

Honestly, those people making all those videos of them playing the game normally (read: not intentional glitching.) They suck balls.

I'm just that good with shitty controls, trust me. I grew up with them.

EDIT: Oh cute, the shadows are all pixelly. The models really suck [parasitic bomb] btw, Half the time their mouth flaps don't even move correctly or at all.
Tails' attack is a throwable, non-aimeable ring container that spills everywhere. And that kills enemies slowly in a game where you're supposed to kill them quickly. he had better controls IN THE GOD DAMNED SA2 CHAO GARDEN.

And Sonic's slide can be used by mistake at any part by simply holding the button a bit more than the usual tapping. I fell many times because of it.

Whereas those board slide bugs and many others aren't just achieved by sucking balls. That video I showed, everything about that (except for the Sonic doubles) happened to me in my only run through the game.

At first I thought it was another camera, but given the way it projects light and actually tries to capture 3D space with 2 cameras, I have to give it some respect.

As far as using no controller, I can't think of a better way than to try to emulate the human sense of spacial awareness. Of course, the Wii has superior motion sensing via handheld devices. The Wii lacks in how the camera works due to it relying on a stationary IR light source, while the Kinect processes image data from a stationary point and sees the entire room. Combine the Accelerometers and Gyros of the Wii Remote with the stereoscopic image capture of the Kinect and it'd be great.

But this is just hardware talk. All this means nothing if developers just throw wagglin stuff at consumers.

PS: PS Move is a little of both, fails to be superior in any way, as a sum of its parts, or the parts themselves.
Thank you.

Seriously, people. Don't just talk trash without know what the actual possibilities are. Homebrew for this thing can be absolutely amazing, and I'm really expecting something amazing to come someday. I know, I know. Current lineup is crap apart from Dance Central. But the technology is just... it's got so many possibilities. I really hope they dedicate more time to games for this.

I can't get past the shiny balls reflecting on my screen when it comes to the PS Move, and so far, I've tried every game that makes use of it, VASTLY prefering the Wiimote Plus in terms of detecting and response (although I haven't tried Killzone 3 yet, and if it makes use of double analog plus remote aim, I might DIE OUT OF JIZZING).

Its hilariously bad. Its like a parody of bad games, no auto save, funky physics, loading everywhere.

Oh, controls aren't as bad as everybody says. I must just have a knack for shitty control.
They are.

- Silver not being able to kill anything quick unless he has "ammo"
- Knuckles getting stuck on walls every single time
- Tails AND THAT THING HE HAS THE NERVE TO CALL "ATTACK"
- Sonic's slide that has NO EXPLANATION WHATSOEVER

I could go on. Heck, try the "put all of the apples in the basket" mission with Silver. Let me explain:

So Sega dudes made Silver so he could pick whatever's in front of him with his powers, right? Well, he can't lock on stuff and pick it up, so he automatically picks everything in a wide area in front of him. He also can't control where he holds and drops them aside from turning towards a place and pressing a button to drop what he's holding in front of him.

Then they created this mission so he can pick up apples (tiny things, he ends up picking them up alot at a time) and put them in baskets (baskets are tiny, so when he holds the apples in front of the basket, they're still held in the air spread like they were in the ground. So they don't all get inside the basket). But no problem, right? I mean... I can just pick up the apples that fell on the ground and put them inside the basket few by few. NO. Because when you try and pick them up, YOU PICK UP ALL OF THE APPLES FROM THE BASKET.

It's a Havok mod. A fan-made Half-Life 2 mod with Sonic models slapped on and the worst physics of all time. Only possible explanation.

Yeah, we've had this conversation before about the run up to Final Crisis with Batman. I'm trying to remember where I had stopped and it may have been just after Final Crisis. I know I've got Batman & Robin waiting for me somewhere around here when I get back to it.. Just, need to feel like it.

Read this before you do.

It helps. ALOT.

I'd prefer something similar to Steam or PSN. Nintendo just has some catching up to do. They're still stuck in a time when consoles didn't break.
And unfortunately, consoles are less and less made out of Nintendium. A good NES still works like a dream, but we're lucky if a console from nowadays lasts 5 years.

The good thing about Superman is that he's not writing it. I think a combination of him & Nolan could work very well.
Ah, I see now. And is the CG as weak as everyone says? Weak action without even the cool stuff action usually has? Video game quality CG that is kinda rushed?

And also, good thing he's not writing it. And it's an adaptation of the three Post-Crisis origins, John Byrne's "Man of Steel", Mark Waid's "Birthright", and Geoff Johns' "Secret Origin". They're going with Brainiac and Zod being the villains, and Luthor being just an arrogant ginger businessman at first.

Back when OOT, Majora and Wind Waker came out, Nintendo was willing to take risks. Go through with crazy stuff, and see if it stuck.

Right now, they're just hopelessly trying to pander to fans. Zelda likewise, since first, they tried to bring back OOT with TP, and now, they're making it more cartoony again but keeping adult Link, like the fans want. Trying to please everyone at the same time.

They should just go crazy and release something completely different, unexpected and controversial.

I can see it now. Link with dual pistols, riding Epona through Hyrule field shooting down any moblins that wanna get up in his face.
Heck, the new post-Wind Waker-new-land-discovery Hyrule has trains, right? Why can't it be the victim of an arid desert curse that turns the land into sand with a few towns and places in between, ala islands and station places? That way, you could traverse the desert with Epona, or by taking a train, Link would have a cowboy-ized green suit (his hat wouldn't change, of course) and carry a scarf to traverse into snowstorms. He could arrive in the local salloon and mow down any troublemaking moblins. Have midtown duels with bosses. An Enrio Morricone-like soundtrack. If the technology allows it, maybe even a dungeon that is a legendary huge Dune-like sandworm that traverses the desert and you have to enter it.

There are so many cool things. Bandit moblins. Highway/train robberies. Ganon as the actual desert King of Thieves, making Hurrahs in towns and robbing banks for artifacts.

"We don't take kindly to Hyrulians in this'ere side 'o the desert, pardner."

The possibilities are endless.

Aight, let's see...

For Blackest Night, you can read the three titles PB's talking about, and be cool with it. But if you're interested in The Flash, I think Blackest Night: The Flash is an amazing tie-in which explains alot of in-universe stuff.

On Brightest Day, it's not really a question of following everything. See, the repercussions followed alot of different stories, but you don't need to read any of which characters you don't care about. For Brightest Day, you follow Brightest Day. That's it. But it's by far NOT a Green Lantern book, aside from the White Lantern being on everything. Green Lantern itself deals with a completely different story which concerns the entities far more than the White Lantern, and follows with its own plot, completely independent. While Brightest Day is a Rebirth book for Aquaman, Deadman, Hawkman/Hawkgirl and Firestorm. Just follow it at your own pace, because the only thing that's likely to concern the GL book is the eventual fate of the white entity/guardian.

On Morrison... oh boy. My introduction to Morrison was the SAME THING. And I hated all of it. But I kept going, and eventually, I fell in absolute love with the man.

You gotta make a choice here. If you want to go deep into Morrison's writing, and actually understand the themes and style he's going through, Animal Man is the best introduction to his genre.

If you want to follow Batman, then start with Batman & Son. It's the start of his run, and then follow through with Batman: The Black Glove, Batman: RIP, Final Crisis, and Batman & Robin (reading return of Bruce Wayne when you get to the part when it tells you to). Reading the titles like this will give you a much better understanding for the whole story. And keep a notebook around you to write down a few themes you see, as well as stuff you don't understand yet. Because it all makes COMPLETE sense when you put all of the pieces together, and it's absolute genius.

In regards for Batman: INC, it's a whole new beginning for Batman, and the stories are basically Batman being James Bond. Being incredibly cool with gadgets and having a few shout-outs to the old wacky days with whole new villains and allies. It probably can be read on its own, although the underlying themes seem to be preparing for something big. The whole run up to the end of Batman & Robin was basically a worlds, times and dimensions-spanning war with
(click to show/hide)
that Morrison weaved through in the most brilliant way possible. The rest will probably follow through with it.

I can post you conspiracies, themes and all of the theories of the book that can be followed through all of the Batman books, and explain you all of the symbology present. But it's something you gotta choose if you're gonna follow, or quit. Because you gotta be somewhat dedicated with some of the themes to enjoy it.

The entire Morrison run

You're a bit out of the loop, Speedy.  DSiWare transfers from DSi to 3DS have been known for quite some time now, but it first requires Nintendo to get their 3DS e-Shop ducks in a row which will come via a future system update.  'bout a month away, I believe; you can't do it offline.  DSi-to-DSi transfers are nonexistant.

Console breakdowns, and downloadable games suffered thereof, are pretty much give-it-to-Nintendo-to-fix-or-you're-screwed.  You can redownload anything for free but only Nintendo can transfer your account to a new piece of hardware.  On your own, you can transfer your Friend Code data between any DS systems, and that's pretty much it.
So, pretty much like Apple. Removing functionality in order to keep everything simple. Kinda hate it that it's not in the hands of the consumer to have his/her own account overall. Would actually make things a whole lot simpler, and would allow people to legally take care of [parasitic bomb] on their own.

Yessh, that's pretty messed up too. My real problem is that....they are not words. They are abbreviations.
Yeah, but they end up being used without their normal meaning, and there's people going "oh, lol" when they see something funny, in actual words. Not laughing out loud but using it in the first place to refer to any kind of humor pretty much guarantees that the word does not mean what it's supposed to anymore, and has just gained its own meaning by itself.

LoZ actually fits in very well with the western theme.

Hell, I consider Red Dead Redemption more of a Western Zelda than a Western GTA, for the way your character and abilities grow, and for the costumization and richness of the open world. An actually western world Zelda would be magnificent.

Well, just got home from watching this movie. Josh & I were talking about it for quite a while afterwards. The movie is definitely a Zack Snyder movie, as it is both visually stunning and edited extremely well. Also, the soundtrack for the movie is quite excellent.

LoL, the problem is that the movie makes no sense. Like.....none. You have really zero attachment to any of the characters, which is a huge problem considering their situation & their goal, which you really don't care about seeing as how you again have no real attachment to the characters. Also the voice over dialog really just doesn't make any sense, which fits right in with the movie's story not making any sense.

To best describe the visuals, it's pretty much like watching a video game almost. It's really half a good movie. The visuals & soundtrack & actually movie elements itself are quite good. Sadly though, the most important part, the story & characters, are pretty much null and void.
Just tell me if this is true.

I loved all his past stuff. Still going to watch this next friday. But this kinda makes me scared that we're putting Superman in this man's hands.

Oh well, he's amazing with adaptations.

LoL, he promised us Larfleeze's oath so we'll hear it soon enough. I'm also curious as to the backstory of the Indigo Tribe as well. LoL, and the new book Red Lantern should be interesting enough.

As for Johns, after Brightest Day is over with, I really really would love him and Reis to work on an Aquaman book, even though I know it probably won't do well.
They'll probably do it. Although Johns is planning some other Rebirth thing with Van Sciver, I've heard.

Calm down, people. We got the same thing over here. Some stuff, like the most stupid words kids make up, make it to the dictionary as "Youngster grunt".

Heck, the UK's got "Bovvered" in their dictionary because of that Catherine Tate skit.

You know what my nation's currently doing? The entire portuguese language is being changed in order to make it easier for immigrants. Which means, make it more like the brazillian portuguese words and pronounciation. They're gonna squander the entire language just because more people speak it. Imagine if the UK had to change their words, in their language, for the sake of the US. It's sick.
