Too bad. Dedicated servers are becoming less and less common among PC games. It's all P2P now.

They left everything as it was over here. =P

Also, Goku means "go ass", so we had fun with that too. =P The translators used his whole name all the time, and made it sound like Songooukko.

Vita version based on the console mater race etc version is basically confirmed via leaked code.
That's a nice surprise. Looking forward to having a portable version of the console game.

But what it all boils down to is making money. Some companies, businesses, people, networks, etc., do it in ways people like, some don't, but the ultimate goal is still the same no matter how they try to spin it to you. Some companies have a better PR system than others, that's all. It's no different than how men pick up women and visa versa. You're selling yourself in a different way than the competition and how you go about it usually affects how you score.

Capcom of America is actually pretty decent with connecting with fans at conventions and such. Lord knows how many pictures & conversations I've had with Seth Killian. The problem is that no matter how CoA tries to connect with their fans, there's little they can do if the higher ups say "[tornado fang] it" and go all cost effective.

Nope. Capcom's owned by a bunch of executives who don't know the first thing about gaming, and the PR is managed by a few poor guys who love gaming while being given obtuse orders on how to run the company.

Valve is actually self-owned. There's no shareholders, no big execs, no guys with money telling the employees how to run things. The employees OWN Valve. They OWN Steam. They manage the projects the way they want, how they want. Gabe receives e-mail from fans, and reads every single one of them. They are their own PR. They keep making free content for fans, after they're playing the same game for years and years. Working at Valve is considered the best workplace in the gaming industry. They are gaming's Google. And they make a lot of money easily with Steam.

Atlus has been an independent company up until 2010. They're corporately-owned now, but before, they were pretty much a fan-listening machine, they always brought over stuff people wanted, and always tried to make it so their job was fun. Always printed their games in small quantity and went in forums to listen to fans' opinions.

My point is that Capcom, aside from the cool people working there, has turned into a company who prioritizes the masses instead of the fans. Companies like Valve or Atlus would never pull bullshit like the Legends 3 cancellation, or the Devil May Cry reboot. They're targeting the mass crowd, going for mass appeal instead of listening to the people. That's the difference between one and the other. They're all in the business to make money, yes. But some prioritize pleasing the fans and giving them a worthwhile experience.

I believe he was censored on CN to Hercule. On the DVD's, he's called Mr. Satan.

Ahhhhh US Censorship.
Gotta love blue Mr Popo.

Oh well. Chi Chi was named Kika over here. That's probably because "Chi Chi" means "pee" in my language. =P

You can say that about any game with multi. I find it pretty fun, and I've played countless matches with friends. The matchmaking's terribly broken, though.

I've heard very mixed reviews on this game thus far. Suzu really recommended it, but someone at work told me it was meh. Haha, it's not like I have much time to play it anyway.
In my opinion, it's the very definition of a perfect game, flaws and everything. Play it when you have time. it's amazing.

They have tons of shirts, billboards and name tags calling him Mr Satan on the show. Unless American TV censored that too. I watched the portuguese version, which imported everything from France.

Pretty much everything is about marketing. Everything.
Different developers have different ways to make money. Valve connects with fans and tries to make what they want. Atlus makes products in a diminished capacity, to serve to a niche audience. Capcom is an entertainment mongul that serves only to the masses.

Honestly, those look a little bit too colorful and punk-like for my taste. I love the way the game ended up as.

Does anyone else think Jensen sounds a bit like a middle-aged Clint Eastwood?

It's because they love video games, and don't want to ruin any franchises. I mean, Matt Bozon has his own dA page, and I don't know of any other devs who have that.

Maybe that's not a great gauge, but it's a pretty cool thing to me.

Oh, as to what I'm playing...
Disgaea: Afternoon of Darkness
Dissidia Duodecim
Prinny: Can I Really Be The Hero?
Final Fantasy Tactics: War of the Lions
Mirby, I didn't mean that.

I meant that Wayforward and Telltale handle properties that are mostly based on old cartoons, movies, shows, comics, old games... stuff that isn't theirs. Stuff that most of the time, you'd see handed to EA or Activision, stuff like game movie adaptations, the Harry Potter and Transformers movie games, that kind of stuff! Or follow-ups of old classics, stuff that normally gets really shitty in the transition. I'm not gonna give "movie games" as the only example, since Wayforward have games based on Barbie, Spongebob, Despicable Me... just to give an example. Thing is, they turn what you'd normally consider shovelware, into REALLY good games, that are really faithful to their original franchise. Same with Telltale, who have revitalized Sam & Max, Monkey Island, Back to the Future and many others successfully. And will be handling The Walking Dead and Jurassic Park soon.

There are alot of companies that make good games and handle good franchises, like Platinum Games, Bungie, Bethesda, Naughty Dog... But I meant those two as an example of being able to make games based on any kind of franchise, and succeeding.

Atlus has a pretty solid track record as well. Unlike the Shin Megami Tensei franchises, their Trauma Center games are far more underrated. Yet I loved every bit of them, especially TC Under the Knife 2. Hooked from beginning to end.
I meant in making games based on licensed franchises and being true to them.

I beat BloodRayne: Betrayal. WayForward did a very awesome job at making the game! <3

Jake 'Virt' Kaufman (once again) did a beautiful (and sexy) work with the music (and the 8bit versions too)~ Respect him so much! :cookie:

I recommend it to everyone that loves a mix of Castlevania/Rockman Zero/Shank type gameplay, mixed with handdrawn visuals. ^^

Speaking of handdrawn things, I would have liked Rayne to wear the more revealing outfit from the Concept Gallery. :3
Planning on playing. Why is it that Wayforward is the only company that can crank out consistingly good games, all crafted out of pure commercial set-in-stone franchises, and all of them are fantastic experiences?

Oh, wait, stick Telltale in that basket too.

On that subject...
I was never too much into Warhammer 40K. I have very little knowledge of it, and the only thing I do kinda know is that Space Marines fight for the God Emperor or something.
Will I be able to enjoy this game without knowing all this stuff about the universe? I mean, I am not even talking about the "plot" but more about the feel and all those "Warhammery" things they probably put into this.
Either way I'm gonna download the demo from steam later "today" and see how I like it. Still, I want to know what I wrote about above.
Thanks.
This game is to Warhammer 40,000 what Batman: Arkham Asylum is to Batman.

You'll miss quite alot of references that would make a fan cream his pants, but aside from all that, it's an amazing, solid and magnificent game I'd recomend to anyone.

Matchmaking in multi is kinda meh, though.

The best dogfighting series there is, is getting a brand new demo in the japanese PS Store and XBox Live in three days. Who's excited? I'm excited.

http://www.siliconera.com/2011/09/12/ace-combat-assault-horizon-to-see-a-japanese-demo-this-week/

In case nobody ever tried out any of these games, I really recomend them. Controls take a bit to get used to, but they are amazingly smooth, and the combat situations they pose are friggin' awesome. Zero's the best in story mode, but multiplayer in Ace Combat 6 is FANTASTIC with friends. I have fond memories of dogfighting and watching my friends' backs as we repelled invaders.

Considering from what I've gathered from this site's fangame section, around 90% of the people who make them are complete morons. So I honestly can't see being 'referred to as a mentor on the subject' as much of a big deal.

Well, you seem beyond bringing over dA drama no one cares about over. So have fun.
Fangames are basically kids who found out GameFactory or some other building block program, and are having fun experimenting with it. Nothing ever comes from fangames, aside from a few tiny exceptions.

Capcom have simply evolved into an Activision-type industry. They don't want to connect with fans, they want money. It's like saying Universal Studios or Paramount Pictures have any interest in pleasing people. They don't. Do you see any Universal or Paramount fans? No. For what they are now, you shouldn't see any Capcom fans either. Because that's exactly what their structure has become. Businessmen making money.

The demo is... amazing.
The demo is... also almost too much for my notebook, even on lowest setting.

But still pretty badass.
Don't enter for the kill right away. This isn't Dynasty Warriors. See, Orks are simply big dumb frightful creatures. First, you've got to raise some chaos. Throw a few bolts into them when they're in a group. When they start running in all directions, cut through them in one single direction, until you get to the other side. Keep running, while shooting at them while walking backwards. Take out the riff-raff with a few shotty bolts. One or two will get away, alert the majority. When the big ones come, do NOT attack them directly. Dodge them while always shooting, and slice a few while they're distracted. Then, use your killing blow to recover your health.

And above all, do it for the Emperor.

The executions have plenty of that later.

There is SO MUCH LOVE they have given to the scenarios. Clanks clanging and machines booming. Feels like my 40,000. Wish Chaos Marines were playable outside of multi, though.

YES.

And from my point of view, they're both amazing games. The original had much more variety, was much bigger and it had way more options/endings.

But Human Revolution is bloody beautiful, the characters seem more likeable, and the action is done way, waaaay better, specially the stealth. Not just that, you find yourself not even using the weapons during most of the game. I love that. Bosses can go screw themselves, though.

Also, Sarif ending is only ending.

did someone says deus ex.....??
one of the best game evah...!!!!!!!!
but, i haven`t played invisible wars..... is really so bad?
really warren spector make a horrbile game?
Take about a weekend or so to play the game. It's kinda like a bad fanfic. It's not the most horrible game ever, but it's awful when compared to how amazing Deus Ex was. Has a typical Mary-Sue character who is related to the main character of the original, and it deals with a ton of Jesus apocalyptic bullshit.

Capcom has me by the balls with Street Fighter and MVC. If it wasn't for that, I could boycott them completely. I'll play the games one way or another, but the company will never see the revenue from me.

DLC kinda throws a monkey wrench into that type of plan though. You cant second hand or pirate DLC typically without sacrificing something big like online play. So for Capcom fighters, they got me one way or another. I just can't pass it up.
Then buy them used. Or pirate them. Or borrow them. But at least stand up for your principles long enough to stop giving a company you don't like money.
