My day was amazing.

- Got up
- Took a COLD SHOWER
- Had some eggs with spinach while checking my newsfeed (I still can't get [tornado fang]ing soccer news blocked in the portuguese feed, no matter how much I fiddle with the damn filter)
- NOBODY on the one single Stairmaster we use at the gym =D
- Felt awesome so I made some bean rice with cod cakes for lunch, and they turned out SO FLUFFY
- Hot as [tornado fang] day, so I spent the afternoon playing some pool with friends
- DREAM THEATER'S NEW ALBUM CAME OUT HELL YEAH so I go buy it
- See this when I go buy my LP and laugh loudly

- Go online, everyone's bored, ACE COMBAT MATCH WE HAVEN'T DONE THAT IN LIKE A YEAR
- BOGIES ON MAH SIX. BLAM
- Took an evening shower and damn the new soap smells hella nice what is this strawberries [tornado fang] yeah
- Take a massive dump, large enough to stand by itself and look like a big black [ray splasher]. Silently think to myself that if I shat that, I could make millions at hardcore gay porn
- Make Tortellini for dinner, wash it down with a MacGyver ep
- Come here, tell you all about it while listening to the new album

Hell yeah. Hella day.

Modern Sonic is about Speed. Sonic '06 experimented with autorunning speed segments, and Unleashed solidified the concept into decent speed based gameplay.

Colors took what Unleashed did and polished it off, as well as including more 2D segments. And since they werent restricted to regions of the world anymore, they were able to do much more creative things with the stages. They also brought back Eggman as the final boss, returning some of his lost dignity along the way, and they shed the 4kids actors, leaving only Mike Pollock cuz hes just such a great Eggman.

And Generations is following suit by actually having Classic pure 2D sonic in the game, and stages based on old stages from all across Sonic's lifetime.

Wow Sega. Wow.

Its just amazing how they have come this far.

Colors fixed the broken level design and loose gameplay Unleashed had. They actually fixed velocity, which was either stop-or-run in Unleashed. It was very nice.

Maybe Mega Man will follow suit some day?

You honestly think the fans would ever let it? No matter how much potencial it has? =P

Sonic's about actiony fast platforming with cool enemies blowing up and colorful amazing scenarios.

Sonic has never been about Speed aside from in Unleashed and the god-awful speed sections in 2006.

That's like saying Mario's all about plumbing.

I just honestly don't know the reasoning behind a Kid Icarus AAA game plus an anime, since he was far from the most popular character in Brawl. I just suspected Nintendo would make a new Mother/F-Zero/Ice Climber game as well.

Think about it a bit. They're not making a remake. They're making a HD port. Final Fantasy X is a title on the PS2, which means they just need to clean it up a bit texture-wise, upscale it and that's it. Also, it's a fixed camera game. Meaning, they got their work cut out with alot of pre-rendered pics they can just alter the resolution of. Way easier than XI or XII, which are bigger in size and have rotating camera, as well as a bigger amount of content.

It's money in the bank. It is NOT a remake. They are NOT going to remake some other game you love in 3D. This is just the easiest game they've got to transition, as well as a very popular one at the time.

Long story short: Square-Enix wants money. This port is easy money. Money is good. Port is made.

What I'd love, would be if they made a Fire Emblem game (I don't care if it's a spinoff for the sake of not pissing off the purists) with the depth and amazing gameplay of a strategy game, ala the Shogun: Total War series. I'd love to lead an army into battle and pick tactics on the fly like that. And get to strategize and send ninja to kill my adversaries while managing my conquering tactics.

But seriously, if anyone was wondering what makes Zelda a franchise in which NO GAME is bad, here's the answer. Every single Zelda game is started with the same thing: "How do we make this a really cool game?" And after that, they start making it more Zelda-like and inserting the elements. That is ridiculously awesome, and completely [tornado fang]ing amazing in the industry nowadays.

It's most likely a HD port. People call HD ports "remakes" even if all they do is some upscaling and cleaning up the resolution a bit. I can achieve half that crap by simply turning on a damn emulator.

I don't think I've ever agreed with you as much as I do with this statement. ^.^

I had a huge collection of walkthroughs when I was a kid. Almost no games or systems that ran them, so I could experience some of the stuff from those games through them. Magazines kinda tend to stick with you, and not just serve a purpose of read-and-throw-away kinda thing. Waiting for E3 news every month was way more exciting that way.

Anybody else think it's kinda weird that Nintendo's basically banking every single thing they got into a franchise that hasn't come out yet? I mean, this isn't even a case of testing the waters. They've done a full big-budget reboot of the Kid Icarus "saga" (which so far only had a single game), and now they're even giving it an anime? When the game hasn't even come out? That is a big popularity gamble.
