What, nothing bad to say about Kid Icarus?
Didn't see it, I'm swamped with replies. And damn, I played that YEARS ago. Just remember the first level was always going up.

Hm..

Terranigma?
Just had that recomended to me this week. Gameplay videos that I've seen of it seemed quite good.

A friend of mine, obviously you wouldn't know him. I'd say his name, but I don't think that would be cool of me to do. I don't think he's Portuguese though, and I'm pretty sure he's never even left the country.
Ah. Well, you can't really see me well in those pics. And I normally have naturally spiky hair to the sides. Kinda happens no matter how I comb it.

Well I've already done that! :P

Tequila's nice, one of my preferences along with rum and whiskey.
Tequilla, gin, scotch, vodka... as long as it tastes well, the combinations are endless.

But I like being buzzed until the morning after.
You can be buzzed, but if you ease into the stuff, means less headaches.

Never been there myself, sadly. My great grandparents moved from there to America, back in the 20s or 30s. I do plan on going there and to the mainland someday though. Will be a while before I can afford it.
You'll like it here. It's a great place to be. A bit expensive to live in, but still good. Game/DVD/CD prices are through the roof. >_>;;;

You forgot the voice acting, unless you liked THAT.

Anyhoo, Dark Void Zero.
What, in the 3 to 4 cutscenes in the ENTIRE game? Oh yes, that truly ruined my experience. And never played it, don't own a DSi.

Age of Empires II (with or without expansion)

- Hahahaha, I got a buttload of units (HALEALEALEALEOOO) GOD DAMMIT DON'T TURN TO ENEMY SIDE
- How do you turn WHAT on?... AAAAA CATAPULT SPACE CARS
- Damn relic hunting. >_>
- Kill historical character = mission over "FFFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUU..."
- I THOUGHT WE HAD A PEACE TREATY. I LET DOWN MY GUARD BECAUSE OF THAT

Galerians 8D
Never played.

He could swim in Super Mario World and now in Galaxy 2. They decided that water instantly dissolves the Delfino Island Yoshis for some odd reason. Can be annoying, especially when trying to reach that pipe with the goo that only a Yoshi can destroy be vomiting on it.

And I was only teasing, no arguing here.

Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars
Yeah, Yoshis were pretty darn annoying back then. I haven't been to a place with water on Galaxy 2 yet, but I didn't remember that fact about SMW. I kinda thought they sank or something. Must be my head playing tricks on me.

And I played that one, but a looooooooong time ago. Can't remember alot of things about it.

Sweet! That's pretty cool. Which do you prefer, the city or the countryside?
Both have their good and bad sides. The city isn't some huge giant metropolis, but it can get pretty darn busy, and still have alot of historical landmarks. The countryside is incredibly peaceful and quiet, but the people over there are a bit less cultured than me. Haven't been there since I got into a bit of trouble with my dad's family.

The Azores. I think Faial.
Never been to Açores myself. Almost to Madeira, but never actually got to go. Heard it's beautiful, though. Ever been to the mainland?

I prefer the harder stuff myself. I don't get completely drunk though; just enough to get a slight buzz. But I rarely drink anyways.

Anywho, welcome to the forum and enjoy your stay!
Harder stuff's good. But before you can enjoy something like Tequilla, you gotta go through the soft stuff. So you can last longer.

Flash is Portuguese? I'm a quarter Portuguese... the majority of my heritage. That's pretty cool.
Born in Lisbon. Spent some years in the countryside, then moved back to the city.

Lessee... I'm a quarter Portuguese, an eighth Russian, a thirty-second Cherokee, and a bunch of other stuff (some Scottish is in there too if I'm not mistaken).

And some of those still applied as random facts; mayhaps you were getting uncomfortable with the topic?
Portuguese? Where from?

No wonder you hate Legends so much; you suck at it. :P

Flash: I agree with you on Sunshine there, liking it more than 64. Also, you forgot to add YOSHI DIES IF HE EVEN TOUCHES WATER? WTF?

Sonic 3 & Knuckles.
I said no arguing. And Yoshi has never functioned in water, as far as I know. Now, as for S&K...

- You need to buy two games in order to get it
- S&K alone has no save mechanic and no Tails. S3 alone has no Knuckles.
- No way to start right on the S&K part, which means you play two half-games, and the difficulty curve spikes down in the middle.
- No way to retry bonus levels easily.
- Knuckles and Tails going super-formed = Whole fanbase goes batshit insane and considers it part of the canon, although Sega will never revisit it again.

Grand Theft Auto 3

- Swimming
- Shooting controls are cunku
- Scenery seems lifeless and empty many times
- There's almost no characters you end up "liking". Except probably for Cipriani.
- Missions are sometimes kinda boring and lifeless.

Super Mario Sunshine (I haven't played it, though)

- The funnest mechanics of the water pack have to be obtained as powerups and can't be used for long.
- Yoshi missions aren't really fun, and he dissapears  if you don't keep gobbling food like a maniac.
- Some shine missions are a bit vague and stupid.
- The old-school jumping stages can reach certain extreme unfriendly difficulties for someone just looking to finish the game.
- The swimming controls are worse than in Mario 64. Too bad, because underwater sections like the coral reef look great.

To be honest, I ended up liking Sunshine ALOT more than Mario 64. I like the environments and levels better, they seem more "alive" in general.

How can you bash Dark Cloud 2 and not mention spheda?
Because I played it a long time ago. And didn't finish it.

Man, if this keeps up I think am going to have to lean how to speak Japanese, cuze From the article I read, TokyoPop lost a GRIP of manga titles but they are trying to get'em back, but I don't think that's going to happen.

Personally I found Soma's design to be quite interesting. and hilarious, considering it takes place in 2035, and yet he looks like hes out of the 70's with those flare pants and shoes. Though i dug the fur trim on the coat.

Now, his design change in Dawn of sorrw, I found REALLY uninspired and bland.

Technically, all it really ends is Dracula's castle. Soma can still become Dracula at any time if he succumbs to evil.

or, whatever plot twist they ever decide to introduce in order to bring Dracula back without getting rid of Soma.

How about...
Mega Man X8... 8D
Never played. And the original Dracula is gone.

I like that.

Castlevania Umm... Aria of Sorrow.

- No "real" Dracula fight.
- Soul use is kinda boring.
- Whole thing sounds like some kinda pseudo-sequel to Symphony, without any of the flair and excitement.
- Soma has a boring and uninspired design.
- Pretty much "ends the series", in a way, on a not very epic note.

Dark Cloud.

(click to show/hide)
Didn't play it much. Will do of Dark Chronicle.

- Breakeable weapons
- Mech is slow to upgrade meaningfully
- Samey dungeons become a bore
- Problems with building placement.
- Monica gets kind of annoying.

Mega Man 2
Samey games, so Mega Man in general.

- Little gameplay evolution through the series
- Ugly helmet man sprite who actually looks like the US MM1 cover
- No password system for mid-Wily levels
- Certain gameplay elements make little sense, such as spamming small jumps to get through conveyor belts
- Boss weakness knowledge requires tons of trial and error

(Hope I don't get lynched for this, since this is a Megaman fanboard, but hey, I've had alot of fun with the original series, myself. Just think it's FAR from perfect. =P)

Got Initial D vols. 29 to 33, kindda mad that vol. 33 is the last volume that USA is gonna be getting for now since TokyoPop failed to renew its licence with the Japanese company that allows them to do so, forgot the name but yea, all the Initial D mangas are now out of print. So sad, very sad.
First, CMX is gone. Now, Tokyopop is failing to renew licenses. Is Manga failing?
