I'm not sure if you thought I meant that it's named Sonic to PC, PS3, 360 there as well. Sounds like you did. What I meant was over at OCR it's titled Dreamcast Library to PC, PS3, 360.
Misunderstood what you said. And yeah, they got it right to treat it like Dreamcast ports in general. Sure, it's okay to make a topic about Sonic Adventure coming to new systems, but people have to stop treating this like a single game port.

That sounds familiar, but I can't quite put my finger on it.
First sequel in western literature. Second book ever.

Over at OCR that is the topic title, coincidentally.
Because Sonic's obviously a popular franchise with a fanbase, something that Crazy Taxi is not. And because of that confusing "will it be the DC or DX version" thing. Both were registered on the ERSB, I know, but I still maintain that this should be treated as "Dreamcast ports come to current-gen consoles" or something.

I append all of my sentences with "old sport" when I speak. Just like Gatsby.
Now there was a man. As for me, I have a bow only I can string. So next time I come back from work and see a pack of hoodlums eating my food and courting my wife, I can feel entitled to slaughter them all.

I don't know, it sounds to me like they're trying to milk one of the only 3D Sonic games that didn't suck since they can't make a good one nowadays.

Although my asessment of that might change depending on what they actually do with the port.
It's strange that people are simply saying "Sega is milking Sonic" when this is announced as a Dreamcast release alongside Crazy Taxi. Don't read too much into this. It'll be a simple port, without bells and whistles. Heck, the topic should be "Dreamcast games come to PC, PS3, X360", but it seems everyone just got ahold of the "Sonic" part. More Dreamcast games will come out after this. This isn't a "Sonic thing", and the game won't have alot of attention paid to it. Straight port, that's all.

Whenever I see/hear an idiosyncrasy of an anime character that I like, I have a tendency to incorporate it into my regular behavior.
Just anime?

*nom nom nom* Yum yum! Honey peanut butter is delicious!

Also, this is my opinion of Twilight:

"Twilight, the story of one girl's choice between beastiality and necrophilia."
Not much of a choice. She just wants both.

I am awesome at making up huge speeches in a single second without having thought about what I'm going to say and knowing the minimum amount possible about the subject at hand to talk about it coherently. And I can handle large audiences like a pro.

Unfortunately, alcohol is prohibited in the venue I'm going in. and there are already lot of people wearing sombreros and lucha libre mask.   XD

Now if we're talking about Aussie game....
Not permitted doesn't mean you can't take it. There are AWESOME places to take alcohol in. Don't you have a flask or something?

That's why shields are so important!  And even then, they won't always save you. XD
Well, GOOD. Because shields are only useful 5% of the time when you get them in other games.

Only took a SHIELD Helicarrier to stop Sentry...
Jesus Christ, that was one of the dumbest endings I've ever seen. If it worked like that, SHIELD could conquer the universe with Helicarrier bullets. They could take down the Hulk, Galactus, Thanos... Just by throwing many Helicarrier bullets at them. I mean, it's not like the Sentry can bend the Earth in two with a pinky finger. Dude gets defeated by the equivalent of what a paperbut would be for him.

Yes!

The items are completely fair, well thought out, and balanced IMO.  I'll give a little more info on the weapons...

Missiles
LVL1 - Missile shoots straight ahead, does not lock on, ricochets off walls about 2-3 times before exploding into wall.
LVL2 - Two missiles shoot out, lock on to opponent ahead of you.
LVL3 - Macross missiles shoot out, missile targets every opponent in front of you.

Lightning
LVL1 - A bolt shoots out straight ahead of you, does not lock on, slightly stuns opponent
LVL2 - Chain bolt shoots out, locks on to opponent ahead of you, will stun opponent plus person right next to him as well (not sure if it's everyone or just 1 person)
LVL3 - A missile shoots into the sky, sky goes dark, a lightning bolt comes down and strikes every opponent in front of you, stunning opponents even more

Sonic
LVL1 - A small sonic ring appears around your cart, stuns opponents next to you
LVL2 - 3 sonic mines launch in front of you, unleashes sonic bombs, slightly stuns opponents
LVL3 - A sonic wave fires in front of you, stunning all opponents in front of you

Boost
LVL1 - Limited boost forward
LVL2 - Longer boost forward
LVL3 - Creates a warp tunnel in front of you, you warp forward and appear several racers ahead of you depending on your position, opponents behind you can also use warp tunnel if drafting behind you (last part is according to Lou)

Weapons are leveled up like Copy X said.  Also, weapons can be lost as well.  I know the Sonic definitely gets rid of weapons, but I'm not sure about the Lightning & Missiles.  LoL, up till 4:30AM playing last night and I forgot!  XD

I do know that sideswiping your opponent lowers the level of your weapon as well.  That much I do remember.

But like I said, the items are completely fair and are not cheap in any way.  This is where the beauty of the strategy aspect of the game comes in.  You can hold onto your weapon to level up, but then you run the risk of losing it.  You can store up your shields, but they can still run out.  To me, THIS is what Mario Kart lost after MK64, and what I miss about the game the most.  This is why I love the game so much.  It actually brings challenge, strategy, and effort back into kart racing games, instead of just blind luck.  Although, some of the challenges in Career Mode definitely give you the MK A.I. out to get you aspect!   8D
Aaaaaah, that sounds much better. And the items seem more balanced. As long as there's no blue shell-like weapon, that targets one single person who's got the best position, I'm okay with it. This does seems like you're hit with weapons alot, though.

By storing your attack item and going over another attack box it goes up one level. I forgot to mention that in this game there are "properties" of certain attacks as well such as losing weapons and deleveling. haven't spent the time into to tell you all the details but thought I'd mention that.
Pretty much just like in Pure/Burnout then.

It's been dropped since last post. Thought it was evident.

Items:
boost, sonic, missile, and lightning. Each can be upgraded to a third level of power.
A level 1 sonic attack just creates a radius of rings around you that knocks the other opponents off the track.
A level 1 missile just shoots straight ahead causing the car to blow up.
A level 1 boost is just gives a small speed boost.
A level 1 lightning is a straight forward bolt that zaps the enemy in it's place.

Posted on: June 11, 2010, 10:15:51 PM
A level 2 sonic attack throws out giant spikes ice balls(?) that hurt those in front of your viewing radius however the actual spikes have to hit. (which are about 4)
A level 2 rocket is a homing missile that tracks the person in front of you.
A level 2 boost is a hyper boost that lasts longer than the first.
A level 2 lightning is just like a homing missile only it stuns them upon hit as opposed to exploding.

Posted on: June 11, 2010, 10:31:37 PM
A level 3 sonic attack is a huge shockwave that hits everyone that starts from your location to wherever the first place is. Doesn't hit all at once.
A level 3 rocket is a serious of homing missiles that hit the first 3 placers (based on MY experience)
A level 3 boost aka " The warp" creates a rift in space that covers a 1/5 of a distance track wise and is used to immediately gain up in place. Good for last minute wins.
Finnaly a level 3 lightning is just like.... Mario kart's lightning attack only you don't shrink and you're paralyzed for a few seconds.
If that level 3 rocket one really does what you say, it can be some major bullshit. How do you level up the weapons?

No, but I ever get the chance I'll spring for it.
Next time you get the chance to make a little barbecue, try it. It's amazingly good. Remember to use some olive oil too. Homemade always tastes better. Pure rotten wine makes the best vinegar too.
