I just can't handle Force Unleashed. Horribly built levels with low-res textures, enemies that are dumb as hell but appear in big numbers and chip away at your health from a distance, and pretty much some of the most painful platforming I've ever seen. I'm a Star Wars fan, but I'm gonna have to take a break from this and play it more tomorrow. Gonna pop in some Red Dead Redemption to get some good gaming on my veins. Then, maybe some Bayonetta.

Urgh. Girlfriend teasing, then her going 8D and going home for the weekend. That girl gives me such blue balls I'm starting to think it's kind of a fetish. >_>

What books are you selling?

Direct Son of Sparda  >>>>> What ever the hell Nero was. (far, far ,faaaarrrr Distant Relative of Sparda)
DMC4 spoke enough for itself.  Basic Dante > Devil Triggered Nero
Not just that, they kinda mocked us by giving us a better character, better gameplay, better styles, and a game's worth of new weapons in a few tiny inverted recycled levels...

...and still, we play most of the game with the retarded brother. It's just not fair.

So am I the only man on Earth who isn't impressed by Nintendo at all?
Pretty much... I mean, I've been hating on them pretty hard for awhile, and I gotta say... they even impressed me.

Even if you're not impressed, you got to admit. They delivered exactly everything the fans wanted. I even found that new IP I was looking for hidden in their E3 page! Oh Nintendo, you tricky sneaksters...

The alleged full cast list has supposedly been revealed again due to shitty coding on the japanese site. Just like TvsC

http://www.oxm.co.uk/article.php?id=20377

Capcom: Ryu, Mike Haggar, Frank West, Chuck (alternate Frank West outfit), Spencer (Bionic Commando), Dante, Chris, Morrigan, Arthur, Amaterasu , Albert Wesker, Zero, Chun-li, Viewtiful Joe, Trish, Tron Bonne, Hsien-Ko, Akuma, Felicia

Marvel: Spider-Man, Hulk, Wolverine, Mr Fantastic, Captain America, Iron Man, War Machine (alternate Iron Man outfit) Elektra, Thor, X-23, Magneto, Dr Doom, Shuma-Gorath, Emma Frost, Deadpool, Super Skrull, Taskmaster, Juggernaut, She-Hulk

If this is legit, than Ahahah, every single "never going to happen" character I said would be in made it. Jawesome.

I know where you're coming from. Anime, from when it used to be innovative from Gundam to Dragon Ball, is now starting to become dull. But hey, we're the ones who are gonna need to fund the new generation...

Also, it's kinda funny that the "old, pervy guy" is thinning out in Real Life, leaving it to young nerd otakus.
And the good comics we know and love might not last for long...see: Spider-Man 3.
All in all, we need to try to get away from building on the old, and focus more on shocking new IPs, back in the REAL old days with "Native Son" and "Catcher in the Rye". Not to say we're almost dead, see: Sam Fisher and his set of novels.

P.S. - File my under one of the guys who don't seem bright on their feet, too. Capable of a 25 on an ACT on the first try, but dull as hell in a RL conversation.
One thing I've learned. While there might not be good mainstream stuff, there is ALWAYS good stuff. Underground, indie, or even free, but there's always good stuff to be read. As comics are concerned, we may have lost Alan Moore for good, but we still got Grant Morrison and a big slew of other authors going awesome on narrative. When it comes to books? Just look harder. There's always some fantastic writer around the corner. I've actually been reading all the books of a japanese writer, Haruki Murakami, lately. Incredible, fantastic stuff. Not to mention there's ALWAYS a classic you haven't read. Or re-read. Good stories are always alot anytime in the world, they just move from media to media, and we gotta find them.

NEVER.  I always get what I want!
Don't worry, Vixy.  Annnnnnnny minute now
Sorry, mang. Not economically feaseable.

On second thought... Nevermind. It's a bit simplistic.
XD Alright, thanks, anyway. Listen, I know there are plenty of great manga out there, but I wanted to know if there were manga that PUSHED the boundaries, tried to be more than just stories, redefined storytelling a bit. Stuff like that. Stuff that any medium is supposed to do.

Hmm... Nora: The last Chronicle of Devildom. I think it's pretty damn good. Though, your opinion may differ.
What does it entail? Is it anything as fantastic and complex as the stories I talked about earlier?

Like I said I only have the first volume and I can barely make sense of some parts.  I left some minor things out but you can find them if you read the manga, but be sure to get volume 0 first not 1, if they happen to be out of 0, because that's the first one.  Also, even though it's main stream, you might want to try Zombie Loan too though it might not be what you're looking for either.
I'll look for scans before buying. =P But if I like it, I'll definetly try it.

ANY. MINUTE. NOW.   >8|
It'll be easier, man. ;_; I gave up on Shenmue too. Just... let it go. No matter how awesome it seems.

I never understood how some still watch soap operas. Same stories, same crap, stupid plots. Just go read some novel or something instead of watching them.
Goes for manga and anime [parasitic bomb] as well.
God, I understand you SO WELL. I mostly watch only a few manga and anime, the ones that got most of the western style, and good stories. But most of the crap that's out there has such HORRIBLE dialogue and narration, and fits so incredibly into so many stereotypes, I honestly don't know why people still take it. Everything in high school, everything in martial arts, shinigami this and shinigami that, all relationships are awkward, all old men are perverts, all girls are cute and hot, and fit into a pre-disposed personality of quiet, clumsy and cute, or stupid bitches who keep complaining about everything. There are quite a few gems in anime and manga, but most of it is so derrivative, it makes me sick. Specially when pretty much every good book I read has a story that makes me question things, and makes my mind WORK instead of being in a friggin' vegetative state.

It looks visually, like 360-PS3 Unleashed, but- on the wii... and it DOES remind me almost of Secret rings somehow..
See the homing attack aiming? Same target that was used in Secret Rings. That reminded me of it too. Aaaaand mostly because Secret Rings is the one Sonic title with the "run forward" gameplay that doesn't feature gimmickry of swords or dashing, and requires the good ol' homing attack.

doesnt surprise me though that its unleashed-like, considering Unleashed was pretty liked. Well, the day segments, anyway.

WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING IN MY BODEGA
Buddy... I'm Tony Stark. I'm everywhere.

Well according to the back of the book since I only have the first one basicly there are 4 characters that have to deal with their past that constantly plauges them...well 3 of them anyway for now.
After reading it, I see tons of content, interesting story, but nothing that really pulls me or defines anything. I'm still gonna try reading it, though. Thanks for the recomendation.

Anyone else know any GOOD manga with incredible existance-defining stories?

REGISTRATION COMPLATE!

Welcome. Don't worry, we'll take good and special care of your special identity. Welcome to the Iniciative.

Hmm I might be able to think of something, there's this manga I got just last week called Dogs.  It's pretty dark and complex while at the same time has some vulgar things in it.  I'm not sure if that might be what you're looking for...then again there's a huge generation gap between us since I never watched or read any of the stuff you mention and I only know the gist of V for Vendetta.
I don't simply want dark and complex, I want real quality writing. Trust me, V for Vendetta (the book) is REALLY, REEEEEEALLY different from the comic itself. The point is pretty much completely different, the morals, the story... heck, they blow up the parliament in the first few pages, so the plot of the first movie is gone just like that. The point, the very point itself, is something quite good. From insanity expected from certain characters, no actual "battle scenes", and V being a symbol instead of a kind of vigilante...

http://updownstart.files.wordpress.com/2009/06/anarchy.jpg The whole thing has much more meaning. Politically AND narratively.

Although I am quite curious about this manga you tell me about.

The most annoying voice is definitely Ironman though.
Then they're doing it RIGHT. Tony Stark is supposed to be hated and annoying, and then go "haters gonna ha~te 8D" On people.

I Like Deadpool
Deadpool's cool, but he has been overdone lately. Not as funny as he used to be, sadly. Specially with the constant overflow of titles he stars in.

Perfect Deadpool was the one from years ago, where the fourth-wall breaking was unexpected from a comic title and it was essencially a quality comedy title instead of a needed and forced one.

Also, in regards to Flash. I don't feel offended by Ben's disdain towards E3 Nintendo and so forth. I respect Ben's opinion. I loved what I saw so far and want to see more.
My main point in all of this is that it's like having a guy next to you at a concert shouting angrily at the band because they haven't played songs he likes. Why not enjoy the damn thing, and if you wanna criticize, do it constructively instead of "because they didn't show what I liked"?

All in all, I found myself loving this Nintendo conference far more than any other before, and I am pleasantly surprised by it all. Specially because we'll finally have a TON of core games being made for the Wii, to come out regularly instead of at the drop-by-drop pace we've had so far. The first title should be the new Metroid, right?

Master Xehanort has millions of dicks in his mouth while talking confirmed.

No wonder he's pissed.
You shut up, that's Nimoy. ;_;

...and I still haven't stopped tearing up ever since his "I am, and shall always be... your friend." speech in XI. ;__________;
