Blasphemy. To be blatantly honest, the corny metal started to [acid burst] me off around Heroes. After that, I could take the soundtracks or leave them.
"Not memorable, but listenable", that I agree with. The problem is, to me (and a fair share of Sonic fans), taking that as an accurate descriptor means it is the one thing Unleashed managed to do that was utterly inferior to every other 3D Sonic.
It's a joke mostly. Given the entirety of Zelda is apeshit continuity wise, I devised my own theory that makes sense enough to me that I can call it a theory. That said...Playing games for the story? Games like Zelda? Zelda has never been about the story, to be honest. It had a few good things going on OOT, MM and WW, but aside from that... it never really was about it.
For those that Gameplay is their major factor... I suppose that is fine and dandy. But someone like me plays games primarily for the story. When the story makes no sense, we must do something to make it make sense to us.
Which is why more and more I'm ignoring the story....and Leonard Nimoy does Master Xehanort's voice. Which is awesome.
Although Christopher Lee does do the voice of DiZ which is cool.
Well, I have no problem with JSA being canceled, as it's completely gone down without Johns behind the helm. JLA needs to be given to Johns, or handed back to Morrison again. I like the current Teen Titans team, but I just don't like the writing. I like the idea of the generational teams though, like Teen Titans, JLA, and JSA.Morrison's handling quite a few projects as it is, and so is Johns. JSA... they... as much as I LOVE the JSA, I think Flash, Wildcat and Green Lantern kinda need to go and retire for good, maybe a house in the countryside or some crap, and dying respectfully in bed with their families around them, like worthy men. I love them, I love them being awesome veterans and stuff, but I think that, immortality timeloop or not, they're way too old for this [parasitic bomb]. They've become kind of irrelevant, and I never want that for them.
So much for my hope of a Secret Rings soundtrack.Instrumental's better than "who gonna rock the place place place place place", IMO. =P
I thought Everquest popularized the MMOEverquest was the Playstation. WoW was the Wii.
I promised myself never to waste a single thought on continuity or timeline matters. It's meaningless and doesn't affect gameplay at all.True that. Continuity isn't given a single thought except in games like Wind Waker and Majora's Mask.
Not to mention Zelda's continuity is constantly rewritten.Forgot about that one. Never did pay much attention to the Four Sword Universe in Zelda.
More like the same two guys. FSA provides another origin to "Ganondorf" separate from that of OoT, which centers around his trident rather than the Triforce of Power.
I think Square got the deal with Disney and made a Disney-like storyline. After that, they could keep the characters and go their own way. So they went the way they did; I don't like the story at all. In fact, I'll watch the story so I know what's going on, but generally I'll skip it if I can read what happened in the Journal or something. Part of my knowledge-seeking, I guess. The gameplay in the main titles and Birth By Sleep has always been fun. But I'm tired of the bullshit they're pulling with the story, which has it becoming Nomura's own personal fapfest. He's [speed burner]ing all over the characters, making them become more of his own personal stereotypes, and getting everything to be some kind of DBZ-hybrid where nobody dies, souls have like... 4 or 5 different ways to go, and it obeys every single anime cliché.
I mainly play it for the gameplay; it's pretty fun.
Similar to how the Titans became [tornado fang]'d up in the future. Man, I miss Geoff writing that comic.....I honestly think a TON of team comics should be cancelled, and they should just have more teams and artists making a solid structure for the main comics. Tons of stuff gets shared artists, like Return of Bruce Wayne or the Blackest Night saga, which pretty much happened GL-BN-GL-BN-GL-BN if you wanted to make any sense of the story. Only... instead of doing the bullshit Amazing Spider-Man has going for its current structure, they should have one continuous story, so you can expect something good every week. Morrison and Johns have already shown they can write tons of stuff at a time.
Believe it or not, most MMOs are based on the concept of WoW, XI or Korean Rehash. Sad, but yeah.I know. But saying WoW is riding on anything's tailwind is like saying Super Mario Bros copied this platforming from this or that. It's just ridiculous. WoW is THE MMO, the one game that popularized MMOs gigantically. When you say MMO nowadays, you just says WoW. Why bother saying anything else?
LoL, whoever did this is NOT Daft Punk. Also, I really cannot wait for Tron Legacy. No, but it has a tiny influence in the voice. Although the music itself is still kinda punk bullshitty, but what can ya do... at least we'll have Unleashed's people doing the songs. One thing that game had was decent tracks. Not memorable, but listeneable.
OK so... originally I had made a really large theory on how everything was connected by Incesty.Since Link and Zelda NEVER end up together or even slightly romantically involved at the end of every game, it's safe to say they never do the nasty. Ganon, I think he's been proven to always be the same guy going through time and dimensions and causing crap to happen.
Yes, incesty.
It's a word now, look it up. Anyway, I lack the major details now but it's CLEARLY obvious that the entire Zelda series is one big incestuous orgy. Why? Because Link, Zelda AND Ganon are all... well, in nearly every Zelda game.
That said... it brings up interesting questions. Do they get down and dirty after every game? Are Link and Ganon brothers or father and son? Why the hell is it popular to "love thy enemy" in Hyrule? These answers and more... I must have them, Nintendo! The fanbase deserves to know!
A CHALLENGER HAS APPEARED!
This could very well be a new theory! Maybe anyone who is destined for the sword is invaded by the Link Virus and be-- ... Naw, that's just stupid.
Okay, just asking. They did kinda gay him up in 2.Not just him. Everything.
I'm fairly confident that it does in processing muscle, even if not in end results. You have to bear in mind that the 3DS is effectively rendering three screens at all time: The touch screen plus two different screen angles for the 3D effect. We'll still need to see alot more of the console's titles before we judge that, as well as gameplay. But I'm confident it's at least as powerful as a PS2.
And remember, after all, that we are looking at launch titles.
It does. Vix's screenshots are actually the native resolution of the 3DS images, according to Nintendo's specs. 400x240, up from the previous DS's 256x192.
(that said, it's a common practice to show preview screen renders that do not match the actual hardware's output resolution; so wrong reason, right result)
.......is that him? Why is he the Red Skull? Wouldn't.......Cap be REALLY pissed at him for this?No no no, Mettle is kind of a Colossus that can't turn his metal self off. But yes, the first issue of Avengers Academy does reveal that the whole kids' team that has been put there is there because they are the ones with the biggest risk of becoming the "next Red Skull or Magneto". So in a way, yeah.
Yes, finally. WoW and all the ones on it's tailwind are crap.WoW.
Well........I hate the auto-tuner......Think of it as a spacey Daft Punk-ish tune. I do hate the rest of that band's repertoire, though. =P
Just a question: Did you play Chain of Memories, Flash? That sets up the story for 2 while making it so it isn't like it's just thrown in for no reason by adhering to the ending of 1.Chain of Memories was good. It made it so Axel was a sneaky dude, adhering to his plan every single step of the way so he'd win, no matter what.
It'd be awesome if he held up the Skyward Sword, yelled out HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! and lightning struck it, making it could it could fly!"WHOEVER HOLDS THIS MASTER SWORD SHALL POSSESS THE POWER OF... LINK!"
Of course, that's the Sword of Omens fanboy in me talking!
1st Adventure had without a doubt the best general character/stage setup. Sonic was the obvious focus, by far the longest quest, and at the same time Tails and Amy played reasonably similarly (not to mention Tails, you know, WAS PLAYABLE). The gimmick character quests were kept short. Problem was, the game engine was buggy as hell.Exactly. A perfect balance between the polished stages and gameplay of Sonic Adventure 2, together with the game structure and Adventure Fields of Sonic Adventure 1, would be awesome.
Sonic Adventure 2 was most definitely better polished, but made the action an even split between Sonic, Knuckles, and the sick Gamma-derivative that they decided to make Tails into. Nevetheless, it is definitely my most replayed 3D Sonic, and IMHO features some of the best stages I've seen in 3D platforming (Final Rush is simply epic).
Yeah I wasn't happy with what they did to Speedball. He's back as a mix of both personalities, as I can see. Does that mean Squirrel Girl will be a fangirl over him again? I hope so. Kinda miss her.
Oh really? That's pretty awesome, actually!I think the words used were "The Skyward Sword would later become the Master Sword". So you probably put it in the Temple of Time at the end of the game, or something.
This game looks GORGEOUS. I couldn't have thought of a better demo to play during E3 to stamp out the mutterings of the 3DS being "just another model of the NDS." This game proves that the 3DS is a brand new system. Higher quality graphics for sure. The old NDS struggles to match N64-quality graphics. The 3DS surpasses the GameCube. I'm sure the 3D screen has a higher resolution too, otherwise those screenshots would be a lot more jaggedy....we're still not sure it SURPASSES the Gamecube. It seems to be quite powerful, but it remains to be seen.
