Nope, they didn't. And you probably played way more than me, but a week's time is pretty good when talking about a single action game. And honestly, with all of the other weapons to download, there's tons to grind, or to do.

Exactly.  There are plenty of Super Sonic stages that don't feel especially "Sonic" like, you just happen to fly.  But I look at Perfect Chaos and I see very much a high-powered Sonic boss fight, in spite of the moronic music switch.  You run like hell, dodge obstacles, corkscrew up the inside of the boss's neck, and deliver a golden boot to the head.  Feels like a Sonic battle to me.
Not much of a boss battle when all you do is get enough speed, dodge stuff to maintain the speed and just go forward. It's more of a question of maintaining the speed than it is to deliver actual strikes and fall back, since the whole thing feels very automated in that regard.

OHHHH. Loeb wrote it.  That pretty much explains it all right there.
It's probably his Bizarro Magnum Opus, next to Ultimatum.

It looked pretty god awful.

......she isn't STILL She-Rulk, is she?  Man, Hulk needs to be shot into space again so his stories can be good.
It was pretty God-awful. And yes. Only when Hulk goes cosmic again, will his stories be good. Seriously, some kind of alien force needs to destroy the Earth and get it over with. Then, all would be cool in the universe.

CD had it's problems, though. Time Travel was largely useless. There was never any point to warp to the future, all you needed was to go into the past and find the machines Robotnik left laying around and then just finish the level there. Hell, you didn't even actually need to do THAT. If you can beat the Special Stages, the time travel gimmick is completely pointless.
It was still stellar by today's standards. =P

Oh well, at least there's DC. If you ignore the whole "Rise of Arsenal" thing.
...and the Titans [tornado fang]-ups.

Was any of that any good?

And did Red She-Hulk come out already?
It wasn't any good. There's a whooole issue just flashbacking Ross' entire life. He says he's so sorry, he's so incredibly sorry, his life is filled with sin, blah blah blah... then culminates the issue toppling the American government.

And She-Rulk is Betty.

You know what we need?

Most Excellent Superbat needs to buy Marvel. Surely it's cheaper than Japan.
I bought Japan because it was being the target of a massive conspiracy that shook the balance of the world itself, and it had to be fixed.

...but even I can't fix Marvel. >_>

I, for one, would like to see a GOOD time travel storyline in a sonic game, without pointless drama and implied human/animal secks.

Storylines in Sonic... hmmm... anyone remembers that shitty comic by PsyGuy? Where Sonic suddenly becomes an evil dick, Tails is the main chara, Sonic dies, Tails gets pussy from Amy, Tails has some sort of PsyGuy demon form, Knuckles has one too and he married Rouge and other retarded crap like that.
If you do, then remember. Not even Sega can make up worse horseshit than this.
So even if we have a [tornado fang]ing demon as a final boss instead of Eggman, IT DOESN'T MATTER! Because we get a nice colorful game until that point with quite simple plot.
UNLESS... nah.
Jesus Christ, I almost forgot those times, when I first went online and discovered the faggotry of Sonic-based webcomics and the DRAMA that everyone around them created. They were the very reason I left the fanbase. Not the quality of the games, but the AWFUL STENCH of all the fanculture surrounding it.

Someone who's not big into comics here:

Explain to me the difference between Red and Green Hulk

And why this latest thing is so bad
Green Hulk is Hulk. Red Hulk is the same army general who first called him a monstrosity and wanted to kill him for being so in the first place.

IIIIIIIIRONY.

Throwback to Sonic 1 & 2? I can dig it.
Simply to prove he's not completely useless without a super form at the last moment.

They played it the way they wanted to, what's the problem? Unless it's that you couldn't stand playing with them so you never got a turn, I guess that would be pretty annoying.
It was a store that closed off a few years back, which was pretty much the perfect standard of a game store. A nice, comfy store with a big TV and all the available consoles from all generations for everyone to request and play. It survived on few customers, and it had regulars basically sitting around the lounge couch and playing a few games all day. Except there were about 6 people who pretty much JUST played the same game, same characters, same level, same stuff EVERY. SINGLE. DAY. At a certain point, people who came in were forced to set by their standards of play, since more than two of them were always at the console,  and majority always won. The way Melee/Brawl tourneyfags behave around others is just stupid. It isn't just by this one example, I'm not stupid enough to believe a few people set a standard. I've seen this in so many places around the net, it drives me insane. So what if the items break the whole game? So what if it's so chaotic, that it's not 100% FAIR TO EVERYONE? It was never supposed to be. Wavedashing, tournament rules, that set of characters which turns it into a potential professional tournament game... it was never intended to be so, it was all an accident, which people simply got advantage of. Due to that fact, people got no place complaining about it being taken out. It's like complaining about a certain ingredient being taken out of some product because that one ingredient could be made to manufacture a drug. Just because people no longer get high over it, it's no reason to go crazy over it.

WAT
THE
[tornado fang]
?!

Why would Red Hulk join the Avengers. WHY WOULD THEY WANT HIM ANYWAY?!
"Redemption for Ross", Loeb and Quesada said. Which is stupid. Isn't he currently a villain in this arc? Even AFTER he did all his "I've sinned soooo many times!" confession?

I'd actually like it if at the last moment, you lost the Super form at the final boss, and had to fight it in normal form. Because in every single game, it's like Sonic can't fight a final boss without going Super.

And we still don't have any final boss with that gameplay. =P

Perhaps Chun-Li thinks Dr. Doom reminds her of the guy who killed her father on a Tuesday!
Doom certainly has those moments. And Latveria's such an awesome place to live.

But seriously, I don't think Spidey's gonna be in the game. He's a big favorite, and they're already scraping the barrel into the niche-favorites. They wouldn't make such a late reveal.

Look what Joey Q said at panel in San Diego...

Comments?

Does this guy even get it, or is he that bat-[parasitic bomb] insane? Dude, putting Peter back to where he was over twenty years ago through an incredibly stupid plot contrivance is about as fresh as twenty year old coleslaw.
He's crazy. Pretty much, he wants to keep Peter a teen. Which is, I dunno, WHAT HE'S BEEN PORTRAYED AS ALL OF THESE YEARS.

God dammit, Quesada.

I agree that a KOTOR style game would probably work the best. Plus if you have the different Earth Lanterns, they could each have different constructs each, suited to each one's style.

But yeah, that's the real problem with a Green Lantern game. The only limit on the ring would be one's imagination. LoL, unless they do it Scribblenauts style!
It doesn't have to be anything you want with the ring. They just need a few constructs for each. Heck, Hal Jordan solves most of his problems with a big green boxing glove, or a standard beam of light. The problem would be to conciliate those powers, with the flying. Superman Returns came close to making a good Superman game. The gameplay was decent. Not good, but very decent, and their best effort yet. But the level design and game structure was screwed up. But Green Lantern doesn't just use fists and beams, he's supposed to use a whole lot of abilities, WHILE flying. And while it would DEFINETLY work if it'd use something dreamy like a Zone of the Enders gameplay to combine flying/combat along with some space sequences ala Beyond Good & Evil... we already know that game devs aren't gonna have the trouble to combine two original and very well-designed gaming standards that were designed by the best of the best, specially when they just got a licensed property on their hands.

...maybe when GL's as popular as Batman. Until then, we can expect no more quality than that one Watchmen brawler (which actually wasn't that bad, it was just sickeningly repetitive).

Me too, but... why hasn't he shown up already? I gotta say, with Activision making a Spidey game that features the comic incarnation, among others, that makes me a bit concerned that he won't appear in MvsC3.

Yeah, but if you were all-powerful, then the boss fights would be too easy, which would make the other side of the spectrum start complaining.

Unless they threw an equal to Super Sonic at you, in which case the fight would be unwinnable or more of an "outlast this guy for great justice" type of thing.
You missed my point. I'm not saying you need to feel more powerful than the boss. I'm just saying you need to feel all-powerful. Alot of final battles grant you certain immunities and moves and stuff. I'm just saying to make Super Sonic a character with a gameplay similar, but more powerful-feeling than Sonic, instead of a character who just flies and dashes.

I woulda thought he'd show up by now, plus all that Activision rights thingy. But yeah, I haven't been paying much attention to that, so he might turn up in there. Just begs the question of why they haven't shown him yet. He's not exactly a niche-favorite, he needs to be marketed loudly right at the start.

You know how a GL game would work? If they managed to limit the gameplay on PURPOSE. Imagine a KOTOR-like RPG, with the Corps as party members, being able to use different constructs as skills and willpower upgrades (or maybe even equippable rings of different colors) with energy charge being chosen in stats menus. You choose to have this much ring energy to charge your shields, this much to fight, this much to fly... Imagine facing Manhunters as main enemies, being able to fly as a method of transportation and dislocation without having it be an action-based gameplay. An action-based GL wouldn't work at all, unless they had him just shooting little beams out of his ring. If he was grounded, maybe they could work in some combos with several different kinds of constructs, but flying, PLUS different constructs? No. Although to be honest, it'd be perfect to have those end-of-bossfight QTE sequences where you press a few buttons and make some awesome huge constructs appear to finish off the enemies.

A truly good Green Lantern game would be something VERY tough to make. Heck, if it had to be action, without limiting the gameplay, I daresay it'd be tougher to make than a Superman game. Which is already something VERY hard to make due to the versatibility of the hero, in my opinion.
